I love Beagles! My grandparents have one. He's such a sweet dog, and a little unusual. He doesn't bark much. Only when he has to pee or when someone comes to the door.
Omg that's how my puppy is. He is a beagle mix and training my dog to use the bathroom outside was so easy. After a week he would wine a bit to get me up at night to take him out. One thing I will say is they get really attached you.
i know beagles to be the best breed of dog ever. they are extremely intelligent, lovable and follow their natural traits. respect them, understand them and love them. I don't like they way they are abused. a beagle has made my life much better. just don't hurt them.
Always enjoy watching beagle vids. I have a tan & white (Obi-wan, 6) and a chocolate tri (Jango, 2) and both boys make me happy that I chose beagles. Just gorgeous little faces!
They really are. I live in a college town and our washer broke so I had to go downtown by the campus and bar district. Had my little beagle with me and it took me twice as long to get everything done because hot college chick's kept stopping me and petting him and talking to me and blaugh blaugh.
I watched another beagle documentary that explained that even though they are known for hunting their history goes back so much further as such an old (and one of the original "hound") breed - where they used to accompany captains one vessels as shipmates when the world was more about trade, religion, and the arts, and are therefore featured in numerous pieces of artwork :)
Why i will have a beagle by my side: awesome company, not a needy dog. Funny, active as lazy. No hate to any other dogs but im a hound person. Perhaps i'll even get a basset and a bloodhound.
Great video. Was watching it with my beagle curled up next to me. :) A lovely breed the only downside is walking them because every few feet they stop to sniff and like the man in the video said they’ll only start moving again if they “want to”.
Our rescue/Beagle keeps the rabbits out of the veggie garden. Last year he got 3 of those varmints. This year they know better. Can't beat his instinct.
Hi Zeke, great video as always, you should get in touch with Tremayne at Benson's kennels in Alabama. Now there's a man who knows his stuff about working Beagles.
Still waiting on my working beagle video..... the army now uses pocket beagle for explosives detection , so much lighter than a malinois or GSD . We can carry up to 3 at a time. You really need to make a working line beagle
a little fuzzy on the hunting side... Beagles are really followed on foot to pursue (mostly) rabbits. And they bay. But he got the personality pretty spot on. And living with one is pretty accurate 😂
In England beagles were used for a variety of hunting tasks. KC rules are a bit different to AKC, the English Beagle can be up to 16" at the withers. They certainly were bred for rabbits and hares but due to the age of the breed they were also used for foxes at one point. Foxhounds were developed from one of the ancestral breeds of the Beagle.
My all time favorite breed. I currently have one beagle and he is 1 year and 4 months. He is constantly challenging me because he is smart and stubborn but I love him so much ! And it’s so much fun to train and go on long long walks. IG: @quesothebeagle
My favorite breed too…they have such a good reputation…harmless dogs…docile… taken advantage of and used in lab experiments….which is sad and heartless..
Mark Pozsar if you are a hunter, you give a shit, seriously. These where originally and still are hunting dogs. Besides a BAY can be ear piercing and annoying if you don’t love it.
The in the photo to the left were Jack and Jill, siblings from the same litter. They were never separated from birth to death and adored each other. Very unique and different personalities. Jack passed at 12 from cancer, Jill passed a year later from Meningitis . They both suffered from Epilepsy but it was manageable. The best partners I ever had. They lived a WONDERFUL life.
I wish more families has these as pets! Contact your local breeder. Forget shelters. You won't find anything other than pitbulls. I had one as a kid. Just dont let him off the leash. They will disappear like a fart in the wind.
Hello! I have a question about beagles, wonder if anyone could help me! I’m wondering how a beagle would normally (trained properly and all that) reach to visitors. Do they run up to the visitor to greet them? Is it normal that they jump and bark? If the visitor is afraid of dogs and refuses to pet and greet the beagle how would the dog react to that? Is it easy to call them back to not go up to the visitor or will they chase them? Maybe a little funny question but I got curious about these dogs and their temperament so I’m thankful for answers. (I’m not a dog owner and not planning on getting one, I’m not a person who’s scared of dogs either but I’m just curious just because I think these dogs seem very interesting and I want to learn more about them) thanks!
Ours barks at the sound of the doorbell. We open the door and have new people visit often (we are foster parents) and he gives a sniff and walks away. We refer to him as a therapy dog because he just loves to be near the kids and sleep and it means the world to them. He can sleep all day but also hike all day or hop in a kayak. He loves to camp to be with his people. Just kinda up for anything but he will sneak food or sneak up on the couch when we aren't around. He takes a loaf of bread to his crate and that's where we always find evidence. He responds really well to a training collar beep. We beep it when he barks at other dogs camping since we can't have a loud dog at campsites!
I had a dog like that but then he died . He was old ,one day later he couldn’t walk then my mom and Dad took him to the hospital and the doctor said he needs to rest so he was deid
had a beagle for a few years. really stupid dog, but just the sweetest disposition. not a mean bone in her body. but definitely a chow-hound, she got fat easy.

Yeah More Beagles! Maybe talk to a different breeder though... this guy knows nothing about the hunting side of them. There's an entire group that are rabbit hounds and make great pets all in the same dog ask me how I know.
I had a female beagle and she was the sweetest dog ever. All she wanted was to love and be loved. She loved riding in the car and of course eating.
"A beagle will do, what a beagle wants to do."
Yup!
My life in a sentence 🤣 I love my pups though!
I had a beagle one she was white and black. Wonderful dog she was playful, loyal and loving.
They really are awesome dogs, full of personality.
@@nSpiraliArchitectb yes they are. 🐾💖
i have a beagle, this video describes him perfectly
Anerol Llanes i have a black and white beagle, too!!
Yes so loyal I've noticed that
Our last dog was a Beagle, his name was Ratchet...my friend called him "a nose on 4 legs"! Great little dog. RIP Ratchet : (
Top photographing, editing and background music. As always. Thank you for the entertaining 👌😎👍
Beagles are awesome. My friend's had one. They had to put her down because she was so sick. She was a sweetheart. I miss that sweet girl.
Great video! Beagles are fantastic little dogs! Lots of spirit and affection.

Beagles are the best doggos ever 😍😍😍
Yorkies and shih tzus too

Thanks for this! I'll bet getting my own "merry little hound" soon, and I appreciate the quality content I can always count on on your channel!
Beagles all day!
my beagle is a barker when on leash, but when he's off leash, he's just a sway chill dog minding his own business
I've had 2 females and both were absolutely wonderful dogs and I miss them very much. Julie and Karma passed away at home with us.
Always enjoy watching beagle vids. I have a tan & white (Obi-wan, 6) and a chocolate tri (Jango, 2) and both boys make me happy that I chose beagles. Just gorgeous little faces!
Finally!! Been waiting for the Beagles to get a time to shine
A beagle does anything the want lol. Best part is they have many friends
I had a Beagle once who was just adorable but he was hard to handle! I loved that dog so much though...he was too fun!
Keep ears clean and plenty of exercise to make up for the extra treats
Keep ear cleanser in the fridge. It makes the weekly cleanse pleasant and ‘cool’
Mine loves to hunt and chase rabbits. Sweet and smart boy!💕💕💕💕🐕🐕🐶🐶
Beagles are also used for bird hunting a lot. Since they're small they can get into brush easily and flush out the birds
Best chick magnet ever
They are the cutest dogs so yea lol
They stink like piss, animal shit, and stinky dog ears.
So naturally camouflaged but nasty
@@wilurbean why you talk about yourself like dat
