I’ve had one of these for about a year and honestly it’s one of the best pieces of kit i run. Those days when you charge up a few 7000 mA 4s Batteries and get rained out.
Amazing tutorial and review! Thank you
I picked one of these up. Using a pixel 4a with it I am finding problems with the bluetooth. You can connect to it and start your discharge but then after a bit you will go to check on the progress and of course your phone has turned off its screen. You check and the phone no longer can make a connection with the device. In order to reconnect you have to stop your discharge and restart the bluetooth on the fd-200 and then reconnect which means you lost any meaningful data. So besides not being able to track data properly it also doesn't show milliamp discharged only Watthour. While its useful its not the same as mah that I use and view in my OSD to determine flight times or to compare against original battery capacity specs.
Cool video, I just got myself one of these few days ago and uploaded a video about it, you went more into it then i did. But its a cool unit, a guy at my club has one and i decided to get one. Once you link your phone the first time it seems like it auto connects to it after that.
Oh sweet! I'll have to check the video out later. Yeah it's so easy to use I love it
@@BuddyRC Hate to say but I didn't get it from you guys, Sorry :( RDQ were having a sale on them.
@@epoweredrc TRAITOR! 😜 all good we just got them in stock last week
How is it detecting temperature or volts per cell via the xt60 connector input?
Very informative I just have one question for clarity so I can pretty much set the amps to 25 for any cell count because the system will never let the lipo go over its amperage any way or should I dial it back for 2 cells because of the possibility of overheating
i have a 750mah 95c lipo, how can i know whats the right amp to put on discharge? i mean, is there a discharge amperage cap? whats the math behind it?
I can not find the app in the app in the play store
What happens if you select the wrong battery size. Lets say its a 3S and you make a mistake and set it to 4S?
I just picked up one of these and to this day, July 5th 2024, they still have not changed the app telling you to “unplug all batteries before updating firmware”. 🤦🏻♂️
I have a question? This is a common issue i run into ill charge all 20 of my packs (6s 1300) for a job and end up only using 10 packs. Can you have a parallel board filled with packs with the parallel board xt60 plugged in and discharge the same way or can you only discharge one pack at a time?
What you described is exactly how I do it. It's a life saver
Can you use a parallel board to discharge multiple batteries at once?
Yes
My fd-200 doesnt want to connect
Does it keep track of mah when discharging? Like it I wanted to dispute the claims of capacity that these Amazon batteries are stating 🥴
Use the ISDT app for more information when connected to the FD-200
Ok got the app but it wants a pin # were do I find it
So when you're hooking up to bluetooth correctly it won't need a PIN. Had a customer have this same issue and it boiled down to a few different things. One was he wasn't trying to hook up to the bluetooth within the app menu and the other issue was it wasn't going into pairing mode correctly. Had to just back up to the start and follow the steps exactly to get it to work.
Can you kill a battery with that?
Yes if you input the wrong number of cells.
Lower volts higher amps.
It’s good for 2s.. 😂
Because 200 watts is max!
Watts = Amps x Volts
😂
Way to much of just too much lol
You'll like the 60 sec review then lol
@@BuddyRC Dont get me wrong But some of the videos are like watching paint Dry .Dont get me wrong your OMP vids on the green monster ( lol) where fantastic
I ended up buying 3 from you !!
@@charlesrestivo870 Oh dude I definitely agree. These long, insane amount of information, videos generally are created based on previous questions/comments/emails and I try to tackle them for future questions. Then forward timestamps in emails when needed lol.
But it has definitely shown there's actually a place for the 60 second reviews where it's 'cram the bullet points in as fast as possible and point people to the full review if they're interested' lol.
I CAN'T WAIT for better weather so we can actually get out and start doing some solid vlog style content/reviews. It was like as soon as I started getting used to being back in front of the camera the weather turned to crap and we weren't able to do much lol
@@BuddyRC please there just a observation no malice intended at all .
P = UxI donc P/U=I.
More voltage or cells, less Amp
Thank you
