Just got the ISDT 608 charger, There's a firmware update now that allows you to set the LIPO charge voltage to lower voltages so you can now charge it to storage voltage. I guess prior to that update you couldnt set the voltage lower than 4.x something volts. Made this charger much more useful .
Could be only for video making purposes mistake but if you are connecting LiPo into the B6ACneo with balance connector, you should pick the Balance CHG option. With only charge option there would be no balancing in background as far as I know.
Holy Crap Captain!!!!; OMG!!!; the world of tech has well and truly developed!!!; I thought my Powercharge for the Inspire 1 Pro (TB47 / 48 battery's) was pretty sophisticated !!!; however you almost need a seperate room to fit it all in !!; just goes to show how things have moved on......................
I am wondering if the B6AC neo charger would work to put dji batteries into a Storage state. Plug in the "C" into the "C" on the dji charging brick and let it do its thing
It was a good indepth review Steve, they can't all be barrel rolls and fpv's😅😂 You are right, it's amazing how many people don't realize how good and how much those battery adaptor ends work.
Is it also possible, to charge a XT60 Connected Battery instead of USB-C? This would allow discharging into PB-Batteries/Lipos to discharge more energy and faster. I've no target which takes so much energy
Hey captain can you Please tell me i want to buy my first fpv kit . . . . I an not able to decide. My budget is around $250 Most preferably tiny whoops
great video . Is it possible to shut off the safety timer/capacity I would like to charge 87Ah Life Batteries so I had. to take off the safety timer and capacity.
Modern LION are charged the same as modern LIPO. So if you have a LION battery that is from today or a couple of years ago, you can select the LIPO setting. The only thing you can't do with a LION battery is over charge it like you can with a LIPO. So if you have a 1000 mAh LION battery you would select a max of 1 amp or less.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Can't say I feel the same. I would rather not be in the same room as the B6neo because of the small fan and the aggressive fan curve.
Hello, First I want to say that I really like both of these Chargers and have thought of buying one or the other. However I have seen more than a few reviews on the skyrc where they say it has a lot of issues with the fan where it just stops working. One of the reviews had purchased five or six of these devices with all but one turning out to be defective. However, those reviews were from 6 months ago thereabouts so it is entirely possible that the issue was found and fixed. It is also possible that they did not fix the issue which is my main concern. The new generation of chargers are getting smaller and smarter but I would gladly give up a little bit to get a charger that is Rock Solid reliable. There's a great saying that goes simply "buy once - cry once". The shininess of something new always wears off but the regret of wasting time and money does not. In my opinion it is better to save up for what you really want rather than jump in with something that is a lesser quality or capability. So if anyone knows any updates on what was wrong what they did to fix it, did skyrc reach out to those people to give them replacements or refunds? I have asked the same question on those other channels but have not seen a response yet.
You are asking very strange questions. The items shown in this video worked great! Perhaps you need to watch more video reviews. If you watch 10 reviews and 9 are positive reviews and 1 review is negative, then you should focus on the positive and ignore the negative. Majority all wins!
These chargers are both so cool, but why do they both have to have such big flaws? The Skyrc one can't take PD in, and the isdt one can't storage charge lipos? Does anyone know of a charger that can do both?
@@Nunyali5lx Seriously?! Im guessing it can only storage charge batteries under 3.85V and not discharge them, but would you mind sending a link to it? I'd buy it in an instant if this really works.
@@seantuitz Yeah it does not have hardware in it to discharge. I just installed the app on my phone and connected to the charger and it automatically did a firmware update. There is a youtube video about it. I tried to link to it but it deleted my message.
it's amazing how technology is changing from big chargers to mini chargers and a lot cheaper be great when out flying if you have enough battery's on hand a few six cells battery's to charge job done as usual great review Steve.
They seem to be handy little tools with a lot of features - but when complexity goes up , then reliability goes down. John Hopke didn't have such a good run with Neos he ended up with. Might have just been a bad batch. 😉 I believe we have at least 10 of the old SkyRC B6/B6AC/B6ACv2 etc and their el-cheapo clones. Only had to bypass a worn-out push-button on 1 and repair the AC brick power-in DC socket on another - not a bad record. Add a fistful of the little discharger/balancer units to take care of any not-used batteries and we're good. 😊
tbh I wouldn't trust any mains powered device from China without proper safety/3rd party certification from the likes of UL/ETL/TUV/etc, there's a reason why power bricks are of a certain size, I'll much rather use the ISDT with a proper type-C power adapter
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Ofc everything is from China or some other places in Asia, what I mean is, mains powered should be certified by 3rd party for safety, low voltage/type-C input is OK but I do not* use anything that plugs into the wall unless it's certified and even those are not fool proof but at least gives you some peace of mind lol

From fun to informative is okay, we need boring battery chargers to have the fun. 👍

Skyrc also makes the b6neo that let's you charge batteries at up to 80w from a USB C charger

Excellent tutorial review comparison video. Thank you Captain Steve.
My pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks Steve. Watched it all!
Good review Steve. I have the ISDT 608PD it's easier using it off the APP.
Great!
Hey Steve…..not boring at all. Nice review!😊
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks!
Hi Steve,my b6ac came a few days ago seems to work ok, thanks for another helpful review 👍
Excellent!
I give it a thumbs up. It's nice to have options. You always have good info on new tech.
Thanks!
thanks for this. moving back into 1 & 2S whoops, looking for a new charger.

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 thanks sir , I appreciate
Is the B6AC neo considerably more silent than the B6neo?
I can’t say “considerably”, but I don’t find these chargers noisy (probably due to small fans)

great Steve. watched it to the end.
Glad you were able to stay awake 🥱
Nice video, does the App control all the options? it would be nice to monitor your charges on each battery.
Yes, you can control it all.

Hi,I have this charger and two of the smaller neo versions, haven't had any issues with the fans on any of them.
These chargers are both so cool, but why do they both have to have such big flaws? The Skyrc one can't take PD in, and the isdt one can't storage charge lipos? Does anyone know of a charger that can do both?
Skyrc has the B6 neo that takes PD input
There is a firmware update for the ISDT that allows you to adjust to storage voltage now.
