You can even see the “bold” + sign on the remote person when holding the book yourself . Takes away the steps of handing over the book and walking towards them.

to the east of the pond near padstow is a... lets call it a tavern. there you can buy very cheap fish related food that will give ya buffs for productivity and ex gain. in my eyes the better option because money is easy to get, its quite close to the the spots most people build in and it lasts longer then the berries. a bit further east near the herbalist is also a great spot to farm bandits as long as you dont take out the camps there. 5-10 mins and you have a inventory full with straps, food and books and alot of money. those are tier 1 bandits with mostly no amor and only sometimes someone with an shield that can be broken with a few hits. since they often have atleast 1 archer with them you sometimes dont even lose to many arrows because they can drop some but they are only tier 1 arrows.
TIP: Only the first food slot counts down, so if you maybe eat Meat stew (HP), Berry Jam (Stamina) and Cranberry (+30% XP), if you keep on replenishing the Meat stew, which is in the first slot, before it runs out then you can keep the XP and Stamina buffs going without ever having to find another Cranberry and Berry jam.
got the last weekend I was wondering whats the best way to prep for winter. what are the the main things I should be unlocking, because I ended up not have food for myself and my 2 NPC. any recommends would be great. while i binge you tips & tricks on your channel.
Not sure if you done a video on the best starter location, but i found that for me it was just south of your base where your traps are set as the t2 mining hut has enough proximity to tin right next to it and the copper by the bridge that had the lantern people used to get stuck on before they removed it. T1 Gatherer also has constant access to all starter resources. Helps if you want to build multiple buildings in one settlement. Just don't build much further south than the tin node though as bandits pass through regularly which is good for straps early game aswell though as they are weak ones.
I got one for ya too! makes playing with an army all over the map ez pz. Well like history has taught dont do warfare in winter, same for this. While in formation use the E key to command them and while running use it on berries or mushrooms to fill up on some cheap food they will devour everything in sight. Play around with that and you can keep them full for days out and about no issue. Well then the issue is weapon durability. Also works while looting after a big battle!
You can make straps once you get the toolmaker, and despite the flavor text: THEY DO NOT REQUIRE IRON. They are made with bronze very easily in the toolmaker
watch out with replacing the travel sign next to the reeds, there are wolves nearby and bandits which occasionally keep passing the area locking us out when travelling. I've had to place two, one to the north and one to the east and still isn't adequate 100% of the time.
If you kill chickens in and around a town that you are still a stranger to (you haven't done any quests for) You won't lose trust with them since there is no trust able to be lost.
Honestly, has anyone ever chosen another starting location for their settlement? When i started playing i thought my instinct was quite right when i discovered others also setup camp in that location, but after playing for a bit, is there really an alternative? I feel like it was intentional that the player sets up a settlement in that specific location also considering most quests are initially done at the village you start at, so it makes little sense to go further out. Like, i feel like that's the only location where you are put in between tin and copper nodes whole having access to most of the resources you need in bulk at some point.
I've seen that its crazy to take a tier 3 town with tier 1 armor, they smash you like a potato, your villagers as well. But sadly to get tier 2 weapons and armor you need to liberate Farnsworth to get the appprentice.
I just liberated Farnworth with 18 troops that had all the highest armour I could get in tier 1, and I won losing zero troops. The battle to stop the reclaiming party was harder and I only won by blocking the bridge with a fence and using archers. It's tough, that's for sure
@@WombatGaming im preparing to liberate farnsworth and had the same idea to block the bridge with fences since my base is way north and the brigants reclaim party is too near the town. You blocked both bridges or just the south one to make them take the long way?
HERE’S A GREAT NEW ONE I FOUND: If you need lots of spoiled foods for fertilizer, empty your inventory, wait until you have a large stack of a certain food (like berries) that are about to spoil, drag them from the storage into your inventory and they will all split up but have the same about to spoil timer! When you pull them out one by one, the timer resets on the stack that you pulled from for the remaining foods in the stack, but it seems pulling them out by dragging messes with that and creates a full inventory of nearly spoiled foods
I found someone with 7 hunting gave her a bow and set hunting 1 on her and the cabin to 1 with deer 1. In a few days I have 8 antlers 120 hide and so much meat they are burning it on the smoker. Set her to crows and have 80 feathers in a few days as well. I need the tavern so I can cook it balancing between enough cook stations and them using all the wood.

If you go to far with the bandits who you are kiting sometimes they run back in the camp and respawn so follow my tip and it should solve your problem but you also can kite them so you can farm some nice stuff from them like coins and so on 👍🏻
@@vihta545 thats actually an exploit, as you keep kiting them, but dont kill them all. some will run back to camp, and more will spawn essentially replacing the ones, lost, but you can keep repeating that process and keep looting bandits for straps, food, books, etc. and as long as you dont finish them off and run far away they will refill their camp.
