Solo, you don't even have to go after them, they run away for a time, then automatically come back after you. Also it can be easier to aim at them if you jump onto the big rock from a smaller rock. It's just the rock to your back that's making it hard to aim.
I think they fixed the chest loot in a recent patch. Also, for the group battle I'm not sure if anyone behind the fence did or took melee damage? not even sure if your archers hit any of the close in people either.
@@WombatGaming, I just recently got a quest for the Wheatfields, so I guess there is at least a few quests, if you try to claim the wheatfields before the quests are done you won't be able to claim the flag, this prevents certain quests from being stuck, at least in the current update, I don't know when it was fixed. There are also certain bandit camps that don't despawn unless the quest that is attached to them is completed.
Hi Wombat, love the content! - how do you move your entire army from one end of the map to the other? Would love to see an in depth guide on the whole managing villagers to fight :)
Thank you, at that moment its a real pain. I just build a stockpile and assign them to it and they move across the map. But you can lose troops to bandits this way. When I have a more solid way I will do a video
I can't really see the point in taking the wheat fields. If you sneak in and steal a few seeds you'll have all the wheat you could ever want soon enough. Between the brigands and the bandits in the area I reckon I've farmed close to 50k worth of renown out of the place so far and i have absolutely no intention of taking it over any time soon. In fact, there have been times where I was worried I'd killed all the brigands so I left it alone for a few game days to let them respawn and stock back up.
Do you know if the wheat grows back after defeating all the brigands there? I'm worried after they're all dead, no one is there to continue to grow wheat so I'm letting them live in my playthrough so there's an infinite source of wheat. *Edit* Confirmed. The wheat grows back after killing all the brigands there. Thanks guys.
The ai is kinda jankee you can cheese the crap out of them. Enemy ai has unlimited sprint to just thought I'd throw that out there. If you get raided and take to long dancing with the ai away from your base they will stright B line it to your stash and lot you. You won't catch up to them you'll use all of your stamina.
Yes they cant destroy walls yet, who knows they may fix that in an update. I believe bigger walls and tower like structures are coming so they will need to have the ability to destroy them.
Oh ya, this game has big potential. Can't seem to find resin myself to get to the windmill😅. your videos have helped me alot. There are still things I don't know you've figured out. idk how you found that peat man, lol.
Cause you cant do it the right way, you need a laborer apprentice to craft the T2 armor and weapons in order to fight the T3 guards, but that apprentice is in Farnsworth that is a T3 village, so you have to liberate this T3 town to get access to T2 weapons and armor. I think game devs got confused and assigned the laborer apprentice to unlock a table that should have been set to the weaver apprentice. This way all would make sense with game progression: T1 to T2 then to T3.
Agreed 100. I have 70 hours in. Love the game but there are hard difficulty caps you cant grind through due to the apprentice system. Cant wait as the game develops.
@@karlp7511 You can recruit apprentices and then let brigands recapture the villages. For each brigand you kill the threat seems to rise by 1 point temporarily and I think for each village you hold you get constant 10 points minimum as well. So when you constantly fight back reclamation parties while holding multiple villages it will spike hard and become too much. If you let brigands recapture everything it goes back to 1.
That solo guide part! 😮 Great way to farm renown!

8:37 Wheatfields with something weird floating in the air... witchcraft! run!
Yes lol
You probably do this now, but set archers as a second squad, so have much more control of where they end up and they won't charge.
Yes agree, I am hoping they will improve the army controls a bit,

Yes the chest has ben fix now, the archers did struggle with the closer enemy's that's for sure
I found the wheat near bridge in low lands, dont have to stole from brigans wheat field 😅
Nice 1
This works perfect against bandit raids even in max difficulty. You should try it. I did, it's crazy fun.
Good to know!
I went there in winter and there was only 2 defenders to kill
Nice and easy 👌
i solo that guards but after i killed all of them i cant even loot the box.
Yes its a know issue, they are going to fix it.
why didn't you take the flag?
There was a glitch at the time , when they fixed it I came back for the loot. Plus its a good renown farming location as well

Have to agree, best place close to star for farming renown. Once you have a farm no real point apart from the chests on the inside.
thx

Someone told me the wheat always grows, not sure if you build on top of it thou. Just what I was told.
@VersionBest yes they grow back dont remember when but they do i farming this already 35 days +
i dont bother capturing that wheat field. its more easy to farm it.
Once the defenders are dead, you can move your signpost to right next to it… super easy farming

Its a shame combat is so easy to cheese in this game.
Still early access, I know they will fix this with breakable fences for sure.
Yeah looking forward to seeing what they do about fences, thx for the vid - enjoyed watching it.

Combat involving brigands in this game is too unbalanced and cheesing every fight gets too boring and tedious imo.
Agree, I think they are a little to tough for tier 1 and early 2 that's why I looked for other ways to win

Lol, they cant destroy fence? Its so bad.. I hope developers fix that.
I think they will, castle walls and towers are coming I believe so this will need to be fixed
