Respect for all these gladiators ! These are legendary pilots ! Watching this gives a perfect example of why I’m happy Dean “the mean” Harrison left DaoRacing! I’m exited for Dean’s next TT on his new team!
@@pablobarrera7613 yeah man agreed. It's better than watching Moto GP any day of week. Don't get me wrong they're great but there's something about riding in life and death conditions that just hits differently, especially for the everyday commuter like myself. These guys are the real deal!
They are telling us the racing team , but they are not telling us what bike they are riding, other than the BMW. Small screen old cell phone here, in what place did kawasaki end ?
The most exciting form of racing on earth. The skill required to constantly shift your body weight to become one with the machine for optimal performance must be fatiguing.
Can I ask you don't put the result in the first couple lines of the video description - makes it hard to avoid spoilers when I share the video with other people. Thanks!
The TT is the golden goose. The Nw200 produces great racing but its not as special a circuit Joey Dunlop said he preferred the UGP because it was more of a riders circuit. The triangle really is quite a simple circuit with not that many corners really. The enormousness of the circuit and the extremely different parts of it give the TT something that nothing else can match. The North West is semi reliant on the TT, probably a big reason why it survived and the UGP didn't. Its seen as the shakedown event prior to the TT.
Active suspension offer so much potential like it did in f1. But Active suspensions drawbacks are bigger on bikes. In f1 Active cars were notoriously numb hence why they Suited aggressive drivers that commit and trust the car to know what to do. Like Mansell and Senna, whereas smooth drivers like Prost struggled with it, he's said so himself. But on a bike feeling is so much more critical as bikes are inherently more unstable. You want the advantages of stiffer front suspension on heavy braking for example and softer down the straights But, making all this work seamlessly is very difficult. With proper active suspension the computer decides what the suspension will do, it receives all the information and decides how much pressure it should put in to resist the movement and return to a normal ride height. And with active on a bike the normal ride height changes depending upon the circumstances as you want it set well for every part of the circuit not just a compromise for the entire circuit. So there's so much information and setup to do its much more difficult than with a car. A car has the advantage of always having an ideal position in relation to the ground (pretty much) Williams and Lotus did experiment with having the car lean into the corners but i don't think they ever actually raced with it. There's a real good photo of Damon Hill 1993 at silverstone with 1 wheel way up over the kerbs but the car is still perfectly level to the circuit. In a passive car that would have created allsorts of issues as it would try an lift the whole car from that corner not just the wheel.
I believe this place has killed more people than the isle of man race. I have a video from the 1970s and of 4 people followed thru the video 3 of them got killed doing this race. If I'm wrong let me know please.

@@troyengland511Yeah, I was pretty sure they don't have road races in Ireland in December. Sadly, I'm a bit old and I didn't remember off the bat who won, so I could have got at least most of the way the video before I'd remembered instead of deleting it unwatched. Lol
I literally can’t wait for new drone cameras introduced to F-1 and I hope … I HOPE they will use them in northwest, Isle of Man TT and other road races, it’s a game changer and I’m very exited 💪🏼🙏🫶🤌🇽🇰🇦🇱🇺🇸

What a bike race. You could see confidence written all over them. Fantastic
Always great to hear the name Dunlop ❤

glorious , thank you
What a sound when the racing is so close, all that power going by, savage
That Kawi really gets off the line somethin fierce ! Also loving the Throwback Green & Blue / color scheme ! Reminds me of my childhood ❤

Absolute nerves of steel these guys ,
These guys are insane!! True pros. I have heard guys talk about how good they are, but they balk at the idea of real racing.
This is insane I love it ! 😬
Wow the curbs on the outside of corner exits gives me high blood pressure and I'm just watching on a computer!
Great skills have been applied skillfully and skillfully by the racers

Great race. It would be cool if they could put a speedometer from one of the bikes up in the corner of the screen so we could see the speeds.
Very very the best!!!!!
Thanks to the Kings! Its beautiful filmed 🤩
I must return to the old homeland for this wild event. What a setting for doing 150mph+
Irwin did exactly the same at Cadwell, wait, wait then boom see ya later. That Panigale V4R is a monster pardon the pun.
Cracking racing and footage.
Man...Glen Irwin just kick ass this year...winning the NW200...taking 2nd place in the BSB, almost winning the championship, wow...
Brilliant Racing-better than Track racing 👍👍👍
Still can't believe Birdy's gone. Still seems unreal. Cracking race though 🤔

Cold tires man. Must be like ice out there.
i love how active suspension is here!Did they have electronic stability help ? i mean does the bike stabilize itself ?
Definetly not active suspension on superbikes..forks are available to buy from ohlins around 10k.. The rear is ohlins spring and damper around 5k
Electronic aids are banned on the bsb spec bikes
@@mrmotorvator5151 yep probably its the new tech with rod inside the columns of the suspension ..its the new thing ..MotoGP have similar system

peter hickman not racing this year???😮
Issue with bike wheels not conforming with race regs. FHO withdrew from the meeting I think.

Dunlop seems down on power, every time he popped out of the slipstream, just stopped
I believe this is the race where Dunlop tires were failing and Hickey is under contract to ride Dunlops.
Him and couple other riders has to sit out.
