I bought this with my fingers crossed about a year ago, hoping like hell that it worked as well as these vids show. I was NOT disappointed! The action is SO smooth! When I'm playing a chain drive double bass pedal now, I just get frustrated, because if you BREATHE on this thing it starts moving. For everyone joking about playing crazy ass metal on this sucker... you could TOTALLY do it! IF I have any criticisms of it, they are fixed with about $8 worth of stuff from a hardware store. For one, I found that my feet kept slipping around (mostly forward), but I tend to play in Docs, so a shoe with an arched sole would have fixed that. For me, I wrapped the foot "pedals" with electrical tape and that fixed it for $5. Second, the bottom of the pedal, where the mounting bracket connects, tends to be about 1/16 inch too high. This means that the pedal taps the floor instead of sitting flush when you play it. I fixed that with two of those fuzzy circle sticker things that you put on furniture legs to keep from scuffing the floor. A pack of about 20 of them cost me about $3. Thats it. Otherwise, its perfect.
Its tricky, but possible. I had to put electrical tape on the "pedals" to keep my feet from slipping too far up, but its do-able. It DOES work much better with heels up, though.
I think the base sound would have sounded a little better. Had a lowered the beaters a bit. I feel that they were too high and were getting a lot of snare sound with them.
When you're done playing that yuppie Karen crap, could you use the double bass for its intended purpose and do Fight Fire With Fire or Angel of Death? Thanks.
It's for playing metal. If you can't afford a real drum set and don't want to use programmed drums or a drum machine, you can use a cajon with double bass pedals, for the kick and snare sound and a high hat or tambourine for hats/ride.
Can not believe a company like "Meinl" spend money and time for a product like this...Thomann is making dumb videos, now is Meinl...!!Jesus, the problems in Europe are not only political...
can it play Bleed

No
Yes! That's what I was thinking
But why?
Because of Drummers and Percussionists like me!!! Hahahahaha!!!
Don't question them. They're meinl.
👍
200€ für einen Konstuktionsfehler wodurch der Schlegel erst auf das Cajon trifft wen man das Pedal loslässt - TOLL 👏👏👏
really dumb product. Even the demo guy is struggling to find uses for it.
