Here's my concerns with Penix. (as UW Husky fan) The NFL has basically taken away the deep ball by switching to a cover 4 shell. Guys like Mahomes and R Wilson forced D coordinators to keep 2 safeties deep. Mahomes adaoted, Wilson has struggled to. Penix best ability is driving the ball down field and using leverage, putting it where only his guy can get it. He puts it in places that no other prospect has in years. But can he routinely take those check downs? Will he prioritize moving the sticks? Will he clean up the mechanics that sometimes cause him to under throw deep balls?
