It looks like so much fun driving it in the snow. I have had my eyes open for one of these, and your video made me just want it even more. Regarding covering the internals, I think the TT-02 rain cover might fit, but I'm not sure.
Hi Rex, hope you’re keeping well. That TT-02 chassis with those tracks seem to run well now. Looks a lot of fun for the model, perhaps not so much for you in the cold. The extra punch of power from the 3s pack and the torque from that 35 T motor, seems to be a good combination. Sorry, but in the UK where I live, we don’t get much snow, and what little we get, seems to be wetter and heavier, can’t remember when we got a proper bout of snow, I’d probably have to go back 40-45 years!😉😊. Anyway nice running video, take care, keep well and all the best to you and the family. 😊😉
Hi John! Its cold! Thank you for letting me know you enjoyed it and having a chat. That extra cell really gave it the momentum it needed to plow through some of the snow, although we enjoy the snow, we cant help But wonder how green the grass is where there is no snow lol “grass is always greener on the other side” haha you dont want this snow John, Tamiya had to make a specific product JUST for snow countries haha that tells you something, it says poor snow countries have no rc to run when it snows haha. All fun Im having, but 40 years is a long time to not get snow 😭 Id miss it 100%
Its funny how big a difference the snow temp makes, now it just basicly folds the snow neatly under the truck, as it doesnt packup. :D The 3s seems to be a very good combo on the truck, its actually decently fast too. :D
Yes, exactly what I was thinking, with that momentum the snow can get paddled down and behind now instead of just building up, it helps that the tracks throw snow off now at that speed, soooo happy I put the extra cell in
Thanks! I missed your commentsry on your most recent video but it was a seriously scenic(to me) film, i found myself looking more at terrain and water than the cc-01 hahaha. By longshots do you mean uncut footage?
That was some pretty good shots you got there, you must be winded due to running after the truck like that, it would be cool if you came into our RC talk and talked about this track truck
hahaha, luckily it was cold so running after it warmed me up, yes you noticed I was running after my car for a while, took a few take to get the long uncut shot, I really tried to show the truck close up in operation. Thanks Tank! for sure!
Im so much happier to show you this time, I was a bit embarassed thinking of what you guys would think of the last run, I had to redeem asap, youre one of the people im directly talking to in this video hahaha
I did not use bearings for ease of less maintenance(cleaning) and eliminate the risk of seized bearings, I do recommend keeping an bottle of oil/thin grease to apply to the rotating areas, (it gets messy but its like the fifth wheel on a tractor truck, needs lube . Thanks for stopping by I hope you enjoy your build although the track gets tiring lol
@REX RC’s thanks, good advice. I may put a few internally, but leave the rest as bushings. I plan to run it in the snow too I built a edu kit that had tracks and those were a pain, so I already skipped ahead in the manual to see if I could get started on the tracks while at work 😂 You try silicone spray or just recommend wd40 still?
@@DudesRC silicone would be alright but some brands may not be good for the rubber track pads, I like using lock lubricant also as its thin at first and then becomes a grease
Thanks Hakin, I wanted to show up close shots of it in operation I was hoping you would get to watch this video, I know youve been pondering this model
That was some awesome up close footage Rex! The motor/battery upgrade was a nice choice! This one’s definitely on my radar!👍😊
Its amazing what an extra cell did, the whee speed was needed for that momentum in the snow, glad you saw the redemption from the last video

Hehehehe…. Tracks alone will fit on your other tamiyas….. 😏

Yes sir it needed the extra power of the 3s great video looks awesome going through the snow ❄ nice work well done 👍👍
Amazing what an extra cell did, that wheel speed I think allowed it to keep momentum through snow, thanks brother
great video looks good in the snow ... some nice clips
Popalong! Thanks man!!
Now we are talking! Get a plough and you can start clearing the sidewalks 😂🙌🏻👍🏻
Hmmmmmm 😏
Nice paint job. Looks great in the snow.
*The snow and the car go so well together!~ Thank you for sharing this great video! 👍👍👍*
Thanks! Im happy for YOUR rc content too!

Thank you so much! I wasnt sure if people could find my older videos, Im thankful you commented
cool tracks on the rc and awesome snow run
Thanks Duke!
Look at mister bouncy head going 😄 Top camera work!
LOL that one of my favourite parts when I watch my running videos! 😍🙏
It runs smoothly in the snow with those tires!
Yes it does! Thanks for watching. It looks like that new bright corvette you unboxed works much better with remote than the app.
Cheers 🙏🤘👌
Love how it plows through the snow.
Deadly fun looking rig! Awesome footage! Longshots for the win!👍👍

Hi mate motor and esc was you using just brought this in the UK and fingers crossed that said it could snow fingers crossed 🤞😅😂
Axial 35 turn motor and hobbywing 1060esc, i recommend a fan unit on the motor (its an inefficient brushed motor)

thanks! are you close by? Im looking at selling the quadtrack with its brand new unpainted body possibly

awesome to see it run and stoked bc i am building one up this winter! did you do any bearings? or recommend bearings anywhere?

Do you think it is strong enough to add a plow ?
Yes but I think its a bit small and light for wet snow, no problem with fluffy light cold snow
Looked tons better when all else fails go 3s lol.
Yuuuuuuup! These were only 20c batteries lol cant wait to throw in some giant ones at 35-50c!
