- The solo leveling anime is coming out soon but their are some changes to the story that I don't think will be goo, In this video ill be going over those changes from the solo leveling manhwa to the anime.

If they disrespect the artist who died finishing Solo Leveling and the writer by changing the names of the characters or the story, I will be extremely upset! I really hope they stay true to the manga in all aspects!
hello, im from the future here, they do change the name/setting from korea to japan, and make the korean hunters be the antagonist, such disrespectful act

They already changed the setting. The only good thing about the anime adaptation are the fight scenes. the character models look off, jin woo looks bland as hell and they dont put the countries in which are important.

It wouldn't make sense not to follow the source material. If the animation studio knew well that Japan was the enemy in the manhwa, why adapt it in the first place?
Issue. In the trailer, bro’s look was hella different from the manhwa, hair and face and coloring of all that too pretty sure. I don’t have my hopes up :/

The fact that the MC is not rich is the only thing that is relatable with most of Solo Leveling readers...oh and the fact that he is the weakest at the beginning!
Knowing what happens I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be worse than the manhwa because they’re probably gonna change a bunch. In the manhwa the Japanese were sorta villanized and trashed upon (probably since the author had some beef with the Japanese people for what they did historically)
A few days ago they confirmed that's its following the manwha and not the Jap. Ver.

As long as they make the characters more compelling than it's good. Most of the side characters are useless and mediocre at best

I think the latest trailer debunks this though each character has their Korean names when shown would be weird to advertise it like this if their changing it especially for if it releases and people not in the know see the trailers and go to the anime and see the inconsistency just wouldn't be a good choice imo
ngl the end of solo Leveling manga was kinda contriversal because in my opinion when he defeated Antares using the reincarination potion was not a good idea in my opinion what should of happened they would of rebuilt everything and do proper memorials for the people who died and then on we could of seen characters like Choi Jong-in and other s rank characters either way the anime was good though the ending could of been better in my opinion

i bet the setting switch from korea to japan would make a controversy, A-1 picture make korea as the antagonist and make themself the good guy is shameless imo, disrespecting the original author and story just to make them look good

Kinda true. If they are adapting from the manwha (and not the jp light novel), it will be challenging to recreate those long vertical shots and fight sequences too.
