I think everyone with a CCW needs a course like this cause alot out there nowadays with minimal training. self control & safe muzzle awareness is a learned skill.

I have learned so much from watching Mickey and Zee. Their humor and teaching style can't be beat. I assumed that the cost of training with them would be too much for an average person, but when I looked it up, I was surprised that it is very affordable. Now to get my ass to one of their courses.

In the real world you only got seconds, it could cost you your life. Keep them vids coming and training classes ❤ 💯Salute.

The getting up off of the ground drill is actually an exercise called the “Turkish Get Up.” It’s the only exercise to place the body in all 3 planes of motion. It’s a great core based exercise and requires not only strength, but flexibility.

I would like to think or my modest opinion is that most of us within the legal/moral ccw defenders "group" would prefer to train like this. Train for real life scenarios. Why not?? Makes a lot more sense. The unfortunate part of it is, is in my opinion at least is, a lot of us lack the ability to do so because (1) a lot of or most ranges now a days (at least here in Gwinnett County GA) will only allow "counter plinking" slow cadences only (no rapid fire) from a stationary position type lane range and will only allow folks to fire from the table and no draw from the holsters allowed let alone move and shoot and other types of drills needed to train properly.
Unless you have land out in the country or someone you may know that has available land and or know someone with a private range to train on. (At least without spending 100s of $$$s on a club membership that some or most may not have to begin with). Which is problem #2 with most is money issues to train.
I feel that, that's why most ccw holders don't have the type training needed at any given time. Most folks when asked do you train is no because they don't even have the extra income to pay for range ammo/range fees to go and even a simple lane type range as mentioned above let alone the funds to pay for $400+ training.
But, I am blessed to do so and I do train monthly I'm just mentioning for the larger majority of issues I hear of which are legit concerns for some/most.
Mick and Team alike... As always love the content and love the insperation that you all show in these videos. The passion to help others become better prepared and better trained is hands down a blessing. I'm recently a New subscriber and its a privilege to be so again thank you Mick and Team.
    Sincerely

@@CarryTrainer any way if time allows you to do so in some of your videos that you could touch base on these concerns/issues a bit more or make a video specifically dedicated to this and inform others on how they could find other ways to train without going to a live range. Use (dry runs/empty guns/dry fire) type practice. Mainly to prove the fact that we can always train we just have to think outside the box and do it without excuses sometimes.
For instance nothing stops me from going to my basement with an empty gun with all ammo locked up in my safe up stairs and setting up a course of fire around walls, corners, etc with targets pasted on walls (or) (have my wife set it up and paste the targets for me) and accomplish the same goals minus the actual shooting but I still build mental stimulus by doing so as long as everything I do is intentional and is done with deliberate training. My apologies on the novels I tend to write but I'm passionate as well in helping others and I like to ask questions when I see necessary to do so. I appreciate your time and look forward to more video content and learning. God Bless!!

BTW... I just wish we could attach photos to these chats to give you visual proof feed back as if we were on the range with you in person. Anywho. Mick even as a medically retired LEO I must say us LEOs don't know everything and still learn if we chose to. Well I'm here to say I've learned a lot from you and your videos in the past week or 2. After a severe injury 14 months ago due to work/suspect induced and having to undergo wrist surgery and a significant shoulder surgery to repair my rotator and reconstruction of my clavical and tendons and such in my shoulder along with permanent nerve damage in my neck and right side I've struggled to control a pistol much less remain accurate. Well I took training advice from you and the team slowed everything down and relearned and this morning I went to the range with a few NRA B-29 targets the tiny ones the ones where the entire silhouette top of head to lower waist area is only 18inches tall x 9 wide and the head area is only 4 in high x 3 wide torso area alone from shoulders to waist is only 13in tall x 9in wide. (TINY DIMENSIONS).
At 10 feet and after a few start off mags of slow accuracy fire drills and no misses at all I was able to finally regain a decent rhythm of fire of 1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi, 3 Mississippi, etc.... 4 to the chest 2 to the head and repeated through one mag reload and then 2nd mag and again no misses through 2 full 16 round mags. Ended the session as you preach with one mag at 25 yrd slow as possible accuracy shots and one mag at 10 feet slow as possible accuracy shots.
Mick again Thank you for your generosity of the time that you give to us here on YT at your own expence. Sorry for the novel yet again but I just had to let you know this info. God Bless Brother!!!
      Sincerely
      Robert

That is where I am kind of. The closest range to me is an hour drive and it is one of those National Forrest outdoor ranges. Which their is nothing wrong with them but they can be very busy sometimes and can only shoot at a stand still. And the closest indoor range is more than 2 hours away I think . It also seems like most of these youtubers recommended trainers are always booked until almost 2022, even if I did have to money to pay all that is required plus traveling and a place to sleep. I am kind of fortunate that I live in VA along the Appalachian Mountains, so there is plenty farm land and such around here. But unfortunately I do not know anyone at the moment with land that I can currently go and shoot on. I use to but he has since sold his land and moved out of state.

2 inches from a target and you jab it out within grasp of the bad guy, real smart. Do that and out of instinct a bad guy is going to try and grab the weapon when it is that close. Shoot from the hip, that leaves it under control of you and not the bad guy.

@@rtaggs8178 I think you've missed a host of other issues too then. I'm happy to get out and train on the range, in the gym or on the mats anytime. Tossing two cents in about a video clip that was a small segment of hours and even days of training is plain silly.
These are good people getting out and getting after it, testing and validating newly learned concepts. This isn't filmed to appease people or look a certain way. Training is a path, a trajectory of the development of knowledge and skills.
No one shows up and nails every iteriation or exercise. In fact that's a foolish notion. With your training you've had, I'm certain you've hotwashed after a drill or exercise to find what went right and what could be improved upon. This is how stuff works, but it sound like you have it sorted.
      Be well and stay safe.

Only criticism I have is allowing students to holster other students' pistols...that's kinda sketchy.
    Love the information.
