@@peopleinmyownworldtheyknow8851 makes Sense because of evolution but in the splatoon world they could be friends with creatures that eat squid and octopus
if I'm correct from what recall the details indicated, they're both a mix of their appointed species, frye being a squid but possibly a bit of an eel while shiver being an octoling while also being a shark if I recall correctly as what has been told about the two
Because their names are puns on those animals. A pack of eels is called a fry and a pack of sharks is called a shiver. Big man is just big man, perfect as is.
I kinda wish that, during the point where the boss is exposed to damage (i.e. when Frye's Octostomp is stopped and when Shiver is thrown off her shark), instead of just standing around stunned so you can splat them, they would continue to put up a fight using regular Ink weapons in a manner more like that of the enemy Octolings and/or that of Agent 3 in Splatoon 2's Octo Expansion (albeit less OP than 3 was, seeing how this is merely supposed to be an extended phase within a regular boss fight we're talking about here), and then return to fighting from atop their respective rides again only after being splatted during this direct-combat phase. The same for the battle with DJ Octavio at the beginning; after knocking him out of his OctoBot King machine, he would reveal his Octoling form (which we have thus far only ever seen in a Sunken Scroll from the first game and again in another photo in Splatoon 2's Octo Expansion) and resume the battle wielding his own unique Wasabi Splatana. It'd also be nice if there were a few more boss fights within the game, such as one where the Squid Sisters decide to first test your skills before accepting you into the New Squidbeak Splatoon and assigning you dangerous missions; they'd fight you first from atop of an old Octo weapon from a previous title that they had since restored and modified for use of the New Squidbeak Splatoon, and after you stunned them for the first time, Callie would emerge and face you head on with her Roller; after she's splatted, she returns to Marie's side in operating the modded Octo weapon again and the battle resumes until they are stunned for the second time and then Marie comes out to face you with her Charger; after she's splatted, the 3rd and final phase begins, and upon stunning their Octo weapon for the 3rd time, BOTH of the Squid Sisters emerge and take you on simultaneously with their respective weapons; the battle is won after they have both been splatted, and New Agent 3 is officially accepted into the New Squidbeak Splatoon. ...Yeah, I tend to put WAY too much thought into things like this. LOL
Can we just take a moment to talk about how when big man throws down his bomb to get away, he drops it into ink and it goes out, he looks down noticing it went out, then he kicks it to set it off. Comedy gold by truly a big man..
i love shiver omg despite at first looking menacing and cold at first, they're actually really impatient and a drama queen. they hate losing and gets mad/throws a tantrum [the hitting was adorable] when they do lose. they're super extra and makes silly names [and puns] like the "pedal to megalodon" thing. a little egotistical and the fan add to it, with dramatically opening/closing the fan. also dropping the smoke[? bomb while trying to be dramatic lmao [i would analyze frye and big man but i'm not sure how to describe them lmao
I wouldn't say that Frye is the boss of the bandit gang, but she does sound and look like she is willing get her hands dirty if things very much don't go in her favor As for Big Man, I feel somewhat bad for him since he's essentially just the third wheel that don't exactly want to do this since, you know, robbery is bad & all I'd probably expand on this later on, or not, might even just forget about it altogether, idk

I think the misoc sounds different per boss I think the first let's u hear the Egyptian sounds then shiver which sounds different to the surrounding of the stage like it echoed only certainparts
This time we fought an Inkling, an Octoling and a stingray. A part of me wishes their rematch bossfights incorporated standard Splatoon combat in some way, to make them more difficult and cover up their weaknesses slightly (since they're acknowledging the rematch already). Think of how the great Octoweapons often enlist the help of standard Octarian enemies and special attacks in both Splatoon 1 and 2, and how Splatoon 1 Octavio also spawns Octarian enemies on the field and uses the game's standard Special weapons against you, a move they removed from the Splatoon 2 and 3 version of his fight (though Splatoon 3 gave an in-universe reason), and how Big Man throws splat bombs at you. For example, when Master Mega is knocked out and tries to slowly swim back to the blue ink pool, in the rematch he could've had a number of extra hatches attached to him that could throw Splat Bombs around him, preventing you from instantly going to whale on him as soon as he lands. While Frye's rematch could require 2 rounds of splatting down all the masked eels before she loses balance, and have additional eel patterns added to her moveset. I don't think we've been told what weapons Pearl, Marina, Frye, Shiver and Big Man prefer to use for Turf Wars. For Callie, it was the Roller, and for Marie, it was the Charger. Frye and Shiver should've had a weapon set of choice that they used against you from within their respective high spots. And since these battles aren't exactly legal anyway, they could've pulled an Agent 3 remix and, instead of abusing specials, change their weapon sets and sparsely use different specials mid-match. And most importantly, when they're in their knocked out state where you can splat them down, the rematch should've had them defending themselves, trying to protect their turf and shoot you down like a standard Inkling/Octoling. That would make Frye very tough, since the area you'd be fighting in would be quite small, on top of the Octostomp. Maybe you could get an advantage if you Splashdown on the way there... And for Shiver, maybe she could aim the shark special at you, blow it up on the area behind you and then try to shoot you down from there. For Big Man... perhaps give him more health? I don't think there's a lot of free time in his fight, and his ink coverage is already pretty amazing. Perhaps a Killer Wail-type special attack that came from all the stingrays on the floor, aiming up, so it could splat you if you were standing on top of them. Perhaps. Maybe this'd be good for a mod after the Splatoon 3 data structures are completely reverse-engineered.

To me, I think it’s fit’s their theme. It’s pretty cool imo~ And who knows, maybe in the Splatoon world the shark’s and the eel’s aren’t enemies.
@@jakey_boss_so_cool oh
The big man fight was disappointingly easy
The Frye fight is the only time I died more than once in one level so far
Shiver was about right
I died once to DJ Octavio but never against the trio.
I guess we all have diffetent experiences in our walkthroughs.
I suffered on the big man fight
Big man’s fight was actually torture
So true! Frye shouldve been the last fight, big man was soooo easy. Just shoot at the floor
It’s supposed to be easy, he doesn’t want to fight, he’s just doing it because he will get yelled at if he doesn’t.
LOL
I love how Big Man's fight is just one giant Mario Sunshine reference
People have been saying that Big Man was too easy but after seeing the rematch, I can see myself losing couple if times.
Can we just take a moment to talk about how when big man throws down his bomb to get away, he drops it into ink and it goes out, he looks down noticing it went out, then he kicks it to set it off. Comedy gold by truly a big man..
my favorite part of splatoon was when big man said “its big man time” and then proceeded to big man all over the place
2:33 They really made her say "what the fuck?!" in inkling language.
Quick tip for frye. The eels with the squid eye band, are the ones you need to hit.
i love shiver omg
despite at first looking menacing and cold at first, they're actually really impatient and a drama queen. they hate losing and gets mad/throws a tantrum [the hitting was adorable] when they do lose. they're super extra and makes silly names [and puns] like the "pedal to megalodon" thing.
a little egotistical and the fan add to it, with dramatically opening/closing the fan. also dropping the smoke[? bomb while trying to be dramatic lmao
[i would analyze frye and big man but i'm not sure how to describe them lmao
I wouldn't say that Frye is the boss of the bandit gang, but she does sound and look like she is willing get her hands dirty if things very much don't go in her favor
As for Big Man, I feel somewhat bad for him since he's essentially just the third wheel that don't exactly want to do this since, you know, robbery is bad & all
I'd probably expand on this later on, or not, might even just forget about it altogether, idk
why are you saying they? You know shiver is she/her right?
@@glacto2625 nintendo of america is the only one "confirming" shiver is female. the game had apparently avoided using any form of gendered terms with shiver in all languages

Is Frye supposed to be Indian and Shiver Japanese? Well obvi Shiver you can already tell, but in the sunken scrolls you can see they each have a scrolls that depicts their battle styles and race.
2:35 Frye swears in 4k 🥴
The red markers on the big man fight indicate which manta is actually him
Poor big man. Doesn’t want to fight but is forced to.
I love how Big Man’s fight is a reference to that one ghost ray boss in Mario Sunshine!
2:32 Frye said "WHAT the FUCK"
Love how Big Mans fight is a reference to Mario Sunshine's electic goo Ray
I can't get over frye saying "Sheesh"
Callie's name is Misspelled as Frye's in the opening, seems like an oversight lol.
When frye speaks, Idk why but I hear the toad "Bup!" every now and then
Frye sounded like she said "what the fuck" lmao 😭
Frye's instrument is called a pungi! It also goes by many, many, many other names.
2:33 WAIT DID SHE SAY WHAT I THINK SHE SAID?
“Third dance, hundred eel vision!” Gives me breathing form/technique vibes haha
why is no one talking about the fact big mans boss fight is a mario sunshine reference to "Manta Storm" which was a boss fight for mario sunshine. (10:18)
I think the misoc sounds different per boss I think the first let's u hear the Egyptian sounds then shiver which sounds different to the surrounding of the stage like it echoed only certainparts
Am I going crazy or is the deep cut logo in the ink? I’m like just noticing this, but is it???
Frye: when i get beat i just can't let it go!
girl you are already letting it go 3 splatfests 😂
Perhaps.
Maybe this'd be good for a mod after the Splatoon 3 data structures are completely reverse-engineered.
neat ideas! Id personally love harder rematches against shiver and big man since both of them felt so easy after frye.
also small detail when you were talking about the idols weapons, but pearl and marina use the splat dualies and brella. I hope we can use of them in the dlc somehow!
@@TheRavaszEmber Sweet, so we do have that info after all!
