Is she lip synching for TV . There is no mic and not much movement of those Bassey hands for the 1st part of the song . As a female impersonator since '69 in Aust I have noticed this . I've also met The Dame in Melb backstage in '77 through my stage mngr friend . Memorable !! 💖

As someone who liked the Bond songs around that age and wasn't into whatever "the kids" were into circa 1985 (certainly musically), I can only imagine the pain. But at the risk of sounding snobbish, some people just don't have good taste (especially in middle school).
Her voice used to be so light back then. I know her voice well from 78 onwards but I seldom find earlier clips. The tone remained similar but the power she acquired from 76 on was insane .

This wouldn't have been too long after her famous recording session; and here she is miming to the version that was released on a 45 at the time - far better than the soundtrack version. The single only reached No.21 here in November 1964 but in the States it peaked at No.8 in the Billboard Hot 100, whilst the soundtrack album went right to No.1! A 'Gold' disc affair!
