Hyperuricemia is characterized by an increase in the concentration of uric acid in the blood.
In this presentation, I will discuss the pathway of destruction of purine nucleotides and the clinical picture and treatment related to uric acid metabolism.
Hyperuricemia may be related to purine, glycogen and cancer metabolism, ischemia reperfusion and diet or some drugs.
Hyperuricemia can lead to a series of pathological conditions such as gout, cardiovascular diseases, kidney disorders, metabolic syndrome and diabetes.
