Foreigners in South Africa: The Highly Anticipated Debate Between Ike Khumalo & Rutendo Matinyarare
Following up from a Twitter war of words, and videos from both gentlemen sizing each other up, Penuel The Black Pen decided to invite them to a mediated debate on the issue of foreigners in South Africa, in particular African foreigners, Zimbabweans and all illegal foreigners.
The issue of immigration, borders and foreign matters has been a burning issue in South Africa in the past few years, especially with Operation Dudula gaining prominence in 2022.
People like Herman Mashaba, Gayton McKenzie, Julius Malema, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi & Nhlanhla Lux have been vocal in varying ways on these topics.

Africa is full of men who are cowards who are not willing to die that their posterity can truly live in freedom. There is no one who is going to live forever on this planet. We all have an expiration date, we just don't know the when, where and how. Its better to die as a courageous person then to live out your life as a coward.#B1❤️🖤💚

I am a South African citizen. I really love my Zim brothers and sisters. I don't know much about Zim politics. But whenever I listen to Rutendo I find he has good points. He really is concerned about his country and all the SADC region countries. Especially South Africa. I can say Rutendo loves South Africa. In my opinion. If we need to solve the problems in our countries. We need to be united. South Africa cannot do it alone and Zim can't make it alone. We need each other. We are neighbors. But I see from the comments in this podcast and other podcast, that some Zim nationals do not like him at all. Can you invite those who publicly disagree with Rutendo and Rutendo to share the platform and debate about this issues on your podcast. It will be interesting to hear both sides. But I really like his thinking in a way. He has great knowledge. Let's make Africa great.

The Rhodesian army was beaten hands down.During the Lancaster talks the battle at Mavhonde was the last straw for the Rhodesian army when they lost planes, helicopters and equipment and soldiers and forced the Rhodesians to sign the agreement. All wars end with opposing sides sit round and negotiate. If Rhodesia was winning the war why would they then go to a conference and negotiate a surrender.Wake up Zimbabweans please.

I love his takes they are thought provoking and really valid from the other side. He does know what he is talking about, however I just have one problem. It is too one sided, at least be honest that yes some of the issues are not really ours but a huge chunk of those problems are self inflicted. The moment he is willing to bring out 2 sides to the Zimbabwean story he will be unstoppable. Yes we all love Zimbabwe, like I doubt anyone wants this suffering but are we really ready to dig up the past and solve it before we move on?

That is the reason why Zanu pf will continue to win ellections because they took the land and empowered its people. That is why many youngsters in Zimbabwe are owning their assets such as houses, cars, farms, shops etc

The level of hypocrisy exhibited by Rutendo is monstrous. He decries those who "hate Africans," yet Zanu PF loathed the people of Matabeleland to the point of killing over 20,000 of them in the 1980s. The current leader, Mnangagwa, was one of the architects of the killings. We want to know who was manipulating Zanu PF leaders into murdering their own kin to such an extent. You cannot simply state convenient truths and omit other truths. This is known as duplicity and doublespeak. The continued focus on sanctions is misplaced, as Zimbabwe has the natural resources to extricate itself from its economic problems without loans from IMF or World Bank. The country's vast mineral wealth, including diamonds, gold, and platinum, could be used to generate much-needed revenue and spur economic growth. However, this is only possible if Zanu PF politicians stop looting the country's resources and instead focus on developing its economy. As long as the current regime remains in power, Zimbabwe will continue to languish, regardless of its economic potential.

@@fortula.tichwagoramuog8784 Your thought process is very simplistic. If we continue to depend on the IMF and World Bank, we will never develop. You need to study the agenda of these global financial institutions, which is to lock African countries into debt by charging high interest rates and imposing austerity measures that have eroded social services. Let that sink in your thick head: we don't need lines of credit from the IMF and World Bank, they are bloodsuckers. We possess abundant mineral resources in Zimbabwe that could be leveraged to create value-added exports. Moreover, optimizing agricultural resources has the potential to achieve food self-sufficiency. It is vital to foster visionary leadership and innovative thinking to tackle our challenges and unlock our nation's full potential.".
In 2016, Mugabe said that the country had lost $15 billion worth of diamonds. I anticipate that you will strongly disagree with Mugabe's statement, as you seem to be here on the internet to defend corruption and looting.
We are doomed if people like you become leaders, people with zero vision and ideas, people who believe that our survival is only through business with the West, or getting loans from IMF or World Bank.

Get back to your indigenous beliefs and spiritual systems. I believe if your belief and spiritual system did not originate from you, then it is not for you.
