This was a really solid conversation. It shows what makes this platform so dope. No need for celebrity. Just thinking and sharing ideas about living this thing
1 thing that amazes black families don't have money to fund their own businesses, but come funeral 50grang will be put together in 3days.. we glorify the dead more than the living
Death is indeed for the living. So sad. Indian Muslims got it right. We refuse to learn from the people that employ us but quick to point out how chauvinistic they are while glorifying "cultural" systems that keep us poor in the midst of great opportunity of becoming competitive with the numbers that we have as a people.
This pains and frustrates me so much. Even how "busy" we are to be there for each other in good times and bad while people are alive, but can cancel everything for a funeral.
I dont appreciate your tone because, according to our culture as Africans, a funeral is a dignified event. We have to be respectful when speaking about funerals. When you compare a funeral with a business you are out of order. People start a business with a smile on their face but, they organise a funeral with broken hearts. Therefore it is not acceptable to compare funeral funds with business funds. I understand that you are passionate about entrepreneurship and capitalism but this is Africa it is not America. We shall not tolerate people who equate funeral funding to business funding. African people have got respect for funerals. They dont use funerals as weapons of comparison and awareness.
@@professor_mnwanati Sadly, most of these conversations are taking place without any historical or cultural context, that is why off colour statements are made about marriage and funerals, which are both sacred rites of passage in the African society. Little wonder these same people are obsessed with toxic capitalism. just from their comments, you can tell they were raised in dysfunction, and are in dire need of therapy, instead thanks to social media they have huge platforms to disseminate their toxic views without pushback.
I relate to Sizwe so much. Practically took the words out of my mouth, sentence for sentence through the entire episode. We honestly need to do better as a society
A very happy Monday... Hope you guys are enjoying the endless electricity! Hahahaha To those marching, please enjoy and be safe. To everyone else, please enjoy your Monday... much love from the team 🙏🏽❤️
Your views on marriage...you sparked a thought process. We are all truly doing certain things because they have been passed on and noone has questioned or opened up their minds to anything outside of it.
This podcasts touches on izinto we are in desperate need of in the black comm..bright minds , Long Live. Conversations like this will bring an end to things like gun crime through education (sfungo🤞🏾) Qhubekani nomsebenzi eniwenzayo Madoda
Eish Pen, your way of thinking is something else. You are tough on every topic. You've made me realize that we are lying to ourselves most of the time and we pretend to be okay
I’m a 52 year old man and you guys have inspired me, Sizwe Dube absolutely funtastic, more young people could really learn a lot from you… keep up the good work gents, great show!
“This guy is going to get us into trouble” 😂 Great general conversation. I really enjoyed it. It’s nice to hear from “average” every day intelligent gents.
Always on point.....beautiful content cz us openminded squatters believe in u.....bro plz Gods will, plz keep up the gud work....cz we do content not numbers (by all means).....❤respect Mlotshwa🎉
Wow Sizwe Dube is such a cool dude, genuine one, we happy to know that he is the guy behind the production team, S/O to the black pen and the team for this amazing episode
Slavery is a choice, when you take the grace to live with FAITH, for the rest they will use the very things that bring slavery to fight one another with! Love the conversation guys! Keep seeking the liberation to bring FREEDOM to all minds, cultures and created beings!
I love how you explained Polygamy I'm from a family with a polygamous background. My grandma is my grand dad's second wife. It was the first wife who got my grand father my grandma
Shoutout to the exposure of the background crew, we never see them. and a challenge for them is to capture the stories from the interviews & re-create them into movies/tv series, since they are in the industry.
Great conversation. The concept Penuel touched on that people should progress to just upping and leaving relationships because it’s nolonger as rosey sounds nice and easy but it’s not beneficial for women and children because in most cases the women is the one that leaves with the children now every relationship she leaves with kids and they have to adjust to different family dynamics etc. it might make sense for men for women not so much.
my late gran went to find a second wife for my grandfather- we didnt know that the second wife was mkhulu's second wife, we always thought she is grannies sister. most of us found out at grannies funeral. Mkhulu died before i was born. granny never went to school, she passed away at age 97 in 2016. now we are left with granny #2 :)
"Wisdom is bleak, a word from the wise." - Lil Wayne. I'm 30min in the intellectual privilege you're speaking of Pen, from what Sizwe has been saying I wouldn't describe it as that rather it's self awareness which I suppose is in short supply. Is self awareness really a privilege though? As Sizwe & the Buddhists have said life is pain especially if you have deeper insight into your own experience/existence kodwa ndiyakuva on the concept of intellectual privilege in the context you've painted an advantage above the rest, common sense.
@siya samente It's bad enough the apartheid regime separated and destroyed Black families, and now we actually have a Black man advocating the same nonsense ,instead of advocating ways to strengthen the Black family. Any right thinking person who watches this show can see that Penuel was raised in dysfunction and should be in therapy, instead he has a whole platform where he's running his mouth advocating the ruination of the Black family. No surprises there coming from a man who has 5 children with 4 different women. Sizwe on the other hand is mroe grounded because he was raised by both parents.
Great Interview bafwethu, nathi siyakwenza lokhu kwiPodcast yethu where we interview each other as a crew ukuze nabantu bezoyazi iTeam yethu✊✊✊✊ Big Up!!
Plz get someone to answer questions on , WHY A SOUTH AFRICAN OVER 35 YEARS DOESN'T QUALITY FOR A JOB WHEN APPLYING FOR ESKOM, TRANSNET, SASOL, etc? At 35 years I believe I'm still fit n capable of great outputs for any company. I just can't can't understand this it's nonsense to me, why are ppl over 35years struggling to find work.
As a huge fan of this podcast, I'm so disappointed. I may be wrong, but as students at Eastcape Midlands TVET College, we really need our voices to be heard. As you mentioned in the previous episode with Penson and Nota, you promised to visit our campuses and hear us out. The other day, I had to tweet about this, and Penson did reply, saying he was interested in coming, but from there I wasn't sure if really you were going to do it.
Just this morning I was thinking old people like saying ngimdzala(old). I have to understand that there are adults, reasonable adults and responsible adults
Yo Penuel the black pen I love your vlog bt I will be even happier the day we on the no1 sport coz it will mean the thoughts are been changed and the future is or will be bright
women need to stop giving out easy s*x, that will help men build character, I feel like today relationships & marriage don't last bcoz everything is easy, we got a lot of option available u get into a relationship with a plan B,C D, which is not bad but ur yo intentions to make it work or u waiting 4 an expiring date🤷♂🙋♂
Um, men need to stop meadering around in their 20s then. Learn to get your shit together and then MARRY. Stop leading women along in 10 year long term relationships where they have a biological ticking clock. ALL my uncles had a starter girlfriend who had their first babies in their 20s and THEN married another woman once they got their priorities after 30.
@maxwell mabuza And this is why i will vote doe the DA. It's time for mass incarceration. Black men are not victims in this country. The DA needs to lock up 50% of you
@@suzygirl1843 buts thats not far from what i am saying, keep the cookie locked until a brother gets his ish together. if u check most of the time the ones we marry are the ones that kept it locked or no baby, which is sad bcoz u found out at that tym the guy is a baby daddy

I also loved Mr Madondo's episode... wow 👌🏾

Most of the black people, are oppressing each other. And they will step you in the back.while smiling to you day and night.
It's important for accountability to happen. Especially men. Don't act like a victim
