Thank you for showing us this, I have been eyeing this model in this particular pattern for quite some time. It doesn't look overly millitaristic, which appeals to me.

Now spring is here I've been wearing this jacket again and reminded myself how good it is.
Great video. I have the same smock in a few different colours and for a bombproof no nonsense jacket I don’t think you can beat Arktis. Fantastic kit. I like the comb arid camo as well, shades of brown blend very easily into nature and the shapes break up the outline very effectively.

Fully agree with you about the camo pattern, at first it seems a bit light but as you say it blends very well.

I was wondering about the sleeve length. I'm 6'4" and wasn't sure the XL would fit. Now I can order without worrying, thanks!

It's a nightmare being tall, always having to check measurements and hoping for the best. The amount of clothes I either have to send back or give to a relative.
@@nickvending9688 Definately hard to find longer sizes! I see lots of things in stores for the large around guy's. Once in a while I'll run into some tall shirts or pants with a long enough inseam. At least now days we have the internet to order things from.
Shirts is where I really struggle. They are always too short in the body and are constantly coming untucked 🙄.
Very nice. Happy to see sleeve length isn't a problem. Why is the waist singing cord on the outside instead of the inside ?

I struggle to get clothes that fit so I was dreading this being too small, especially the sleeves.
I must confess that I like an external cord so I can adjust to either be baggy airy fit or pulled in if required without needing to undo my jacket. Pulling the cords does then result in the ends of the cords hanging free, but I put them in the nearby pocket so no real issue.
Is the smock windproof like the standard army issue smock? I have the standard smock in dpm and desert camo (DDPM) and was searching for an upgrade. I've heard though arktis smocks are a type that is just pockets and camo and no windproofing.
Hello, thank you for your comment much appreciated. In my experience the jacket is not windproof. I actually prefer that, it is a lighter material.
@@nickvending9688 thanks for the response :) yeah I've heard that the smock can be windproof or not and some ppl especially in the forces (recces, rangers etc) preferrs it that way. Varusteleka makes their smock that way. Well I guess I'd have to buy their separate a110 and sew it in to be windproof... Cheers

I tend to go for layers with a smock purely for camouflage.
Thanks, Nick! Question: would you say colour is more of a brown/tan, or light and dark green? I bought one of these believing it would be tan/brown, but it’s more of a green hue than in the Arktis website pictures. Excellent smock all the same, of course.
Hello, thank you for your comment. I'd say mine has a pale green under tone with tan and brown. My video doesn't really show it too well either so I can forgive Arktis' marketing department for not getting the photos spot on.

I guess Optics Warehouse bulk bought a trial batch so they could sell them at a good price.
That's not a Denison smock. Looks Belgian or French, maybe Portuguese.
