They're so legendary that they don't even need to sing, people sing their songs.
I mean it happens on every single concert of +- popular group\performer, that doesnt mean all of em legendary. But ye, Rummstein are really iconic
Listen to metallica
@@synnep6239 But not in german. ;)
What about a full stadium singing bohemian rapsody in a concert without any body on the stage!
yeah
Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, when I listen to Rammstein, my neighbors do too!!!
😂
Exactly. Essentially it's a wedding song.
fuckin ey Brother :)
😂🤣😂💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Best comment ever
For treadmill: there are many parts of their songs where keyboard player doesn't have to play, so in the past he just used to dance and run around because it would get boring elseway. However, in 2005 there was an accident at the concert, when he ran into the singer while riding a Segway. So on the next tour they just put a treadmill for him so he doesn't get bored and there are no such accidents anymore.
That's partly true, but the main reason is to keep his cardiovascular system in check due to some issues with his health recently.
@@thirdgen377 this is the first time I heard *that*. I always heard he's on the treadmill to keep rythm.
Thats only partly true. The treadmill had nothing to do with the segway back then, (they even faked that accident later on that tour) or his health.
I´m not sure, but there might be a english version of Flakes book "Heute hat die Welt Geburtstag" (Today it´s the worlds birthday). He explains a lot about Rammstein, the band members and also the treadmill ^__^
That's interesting information, and a bit of history from the band. But I can see that happening because the singer is a big guy. Hard to avoid him. LOL
Everything is true because the band also has committed they love to spread false information(lied) thru out Interviews
Why would he be on a treadmill ?
Dude this is RAMMSTEIN don't question it just enjoy
#FACTS
Actually, there's a reason for this. I read somewhere that Flake is actually on a treadmill to help him keep the rhythm of the songs, because he's terrible at it X)
That's exactly what I said. Lol
And there is another reason for the threadmill: from somewhere must come the electricity for the concert
Those germans do like fire. There was a Rammstein concert in my city this year. I couldn't get a ticket, but I saw the place from across the river. It was a cloudy evening and the sky above the stadium was all orange and black from fire and I felt like I was looking at the Mordor or something and Sauron himself was about to enter this world.
I love the reactions of people realising Flake is on a threadmill😂😂😂
The board thats moving 😂
lavinia clelia yeah😂😂
@@timeonn1979 "kinda like... A treadmill. It's a treadmill, what am I talking about?"
I'm in tears!
@@timeonn1979 me when he said that: sir i believe that is uuuuuh...... in fact a treadmill.
Literally the first thing people who react to this concert talked about
Great one, man. i love your pronounciation of "Rammstein".
Greetings from germany.
keep it up.
Grüße von den Philippinen! 🇵🇭
Lach mich bei Amis die deutsch reden immer halb schlapp.
Loved it lol. Greetings from Missouri. I grew up in Germany :)
I saw them in concert and had seats way far from the stage. Their pyrotechnics melted my mascara off! Best concert I've been too 🔥
This is actually one of their tamer videos.
Any music video where Flake goes fairly unmolested by Till is tame by default.
Honestly, the amount of pyrotechnics in this performance is rather underwhelming.
Someone needs to review buck dich lol
Dude, some advice from long time fan of Rammstein - once in your life you SHOULD go and watch them live. You will NOT forget it. They came to Russia this summer and it was completely crazy. Best experience in my life.
One could do this... if the tickets weren't always sold out within 10 minutes.
Peter DerPanda they always have restock. I remember the whole Russia was sitting in front of screens without moving waiting for tickets to start be sold. Then boom - selling was opened and servers crashed
After then everybody started calming each other like “that’s ok, they will restock it”
Andu Rill I was on that same concert! Great show.
Just so damn hard to get tickets.
"Why can't all concerts be like that?"
Me: 🤔 Pictures Celine Dion framed by explosions, covered in blood, grabbing her bits and shooting fire across the audience...
That sounds incredibly funny.
That actually sounds legendary😁😎🤟🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!
This band is a world-wide legend, their concerts are usually sold out within a few hours, and what impresses me most beside their awesome show is the fact that no matter where they play people know the german texts. Like here in France where almost no-one speaks any foreign language, this is SO amazing !!!
The knee-banging actually comes from a time when Till had an injury that required him to occasionally pop his kneecap back into place.
He'd "hide" it in the rhythm, and it became kind of a trademark move.
The Til Hammer
The last time Germans commanded such obedience from the French was way back during World War 2...
...omg it's so wrong but I can't help it.
Purchaser be said,. The dark humour God's demanded it
Franks were Germans.
yeah, the charlemagne battalion.
Why no credit for the original poster wich you just copied?
Good one 😂😂😂.
The aesthetic is just Rammstein embracing the "industrial"-part in German Industrial Metal
There's something about chanting crowds that gives me them chills man. This was great
Quick note regarding the lyrics:
In german the pronounciation is the same for another word:
Du hast = you have...
Du hasst = you hate...
he is singing about rejecting a marriage proposal and plays with the ambiguity of the words.
Ps. its a french crowd singing in german... just think about it. It works all over the world.
Pps. Till Lindemann (their lead singer) is a licensed pyrotechnician. Thats why every show is a (on) fire (literally).
Now you gotta check out Rammstein - Feuer Frei! Lots of Fire!
Feur frei it is a artillery command simular to fire for effect Just keep firing or free fire.
Everybody that has watched the first XXX movie with Vin Diesel should now Feuer Frei. Rammstein was in the movie
If you want to see their kind of style for live performances, you should check out Rammstein’s song Mein Teil live at the Hurricane Festival, it’s insane dude!
Edit: The lead singer is also a Pyrotechnician, which explains the awesome fireworks they shot off during the show
Silver and great music video’s too.. The one with the “Snow white and the dwarfs” theme, in those mines👏🏼
@@DutchiesHolland Sonne?
JaxMerrick Yup, that is the one!🌞
Not "They" are Pyrotechnicians, only Till Lindemann has the certificate.
AnimePhoenix888 Sorry ‘bout that, I just fixed it. Thanks for the tip
Flake is a weird dude. Just go with it.
They are a really interesting band. Their origins, the shit they have had to go through... and still super nice and humble.
The lead vocalist is a certified and licensed pyrotechnician, which is the only way they could have their concerts be the way they are; Fire, fireworks, lightning bolts, all of it. And he’s covered in fire retardant gel, not dirt. His arms are also insanely ripped as well
Its "Industrial metal" and it was super popular back in the 90s. The lead singer also has a pyrotechnic license and he looks dirty because he is covered in fire gel to prevent from getting burned.
As for what they are saying. Du Hast mich translates to "You hate me". The last line of the chorus translates to "You hate me to say and I did not obey".
I have watched so many of these Rammstein reaction videos and that was by far the best first shot at pronouncing their name - nice job!
quite funny to react to a German Rock song.
The best part of the German lyrics (which are a bit different from english version cause of rhyme) is that the German are loaded with double meaning.
literally, what a German hears would be: YOU, You hate, you have me, you have asked me (and I said nothing). because the meaning changes depending on what he says after "Du hast". Also, some other funny double meanings in the lyrics, basically he plays on "til death do us apart" and "til the death of the c..t" LOL
Welcome to Rammstein baby, I went to this show, I live in Ireland it was worth the flight. All their shows are like this. Please react to “Feuer frei!” Live. You will not be disappointed.
Aw hey! Another Irish fan here. I was at this show too. I came from England though, was there for uni. Absolutely loved it. Hoping to go to their show here next year.
Again: "Have" and "Hate" sounds in German the same. So the lyrics are "You ...You have/hate ... You have/hate me ..." ending in "You have asked me" for a marriage proposal. And then the femal choir comes in with a "No!"
Finally someone who pronounces the band name and song title correctly.
RIGHT!?!? i lost my mind when he said it
that's actually the wrong way of pronouncing it
@@thedominator87 Well if you compare it to "ramstiiin,, :D or any other typical "english,, pronunciation this is one of the best.
nope, the 's' should be like 'sh'
He had the accent down, but the pronunciation was wrong, its pronounced "rammshtein"
I remember it was 20 to 25 years ago when I first saw Rammstein live in Vienna. It was in a small club that could accommodate 400 people... with a very small stage.
And there they were! On stage! The audience was thrilled and singing along - me included - with their amazing pyro show .... they set a spotlight above us on fire!
Nothing happened to anyone of couse and the concert was amazing!!!
I saw them several times at several concerts within the next 3 years after that! That was a great time!
Serious showmanship and great vocals, have always loved them! Glad you enjoyed the show 😊
Rammstein concert world tours are usually sold out in minutes
It's a very very expensive kind of concerts, only Rammstein does that. Great reaction.
I've seen them, in Houston...Jesus...amazinggg show.
I’m seeing them in August..I’ve heard it’s one of the best concert experiences out there.
@@dannydarko9679 I've been to a lot of concerts (my friends and I usual go to festivals instead of normal vacations), I've seen them 3 times and Rammstein is amount the best of my experiences (always hard to say which concert is the best, its like saying which movie is the best you have seen).
Rich, if you like these guys and want to check out more of their stuff, fair warning that reactions to their videos tend to get hit with copyright claims. But if you want to see more, Deutschland is cinematic gold. Keine Lust is a fun video too. They have a lot of other cool videos and songs, so feel free to check out more.
Haifisch.
In old interview Flake (keyboardist) said the other members except him and Doom (drummer) are free to move around on stage because of their instruments, so he uses the treadmill ;)
The single best band I've ever seen live.
The blew Iron maiden off the stage, I have tickets for Nightwish next year, they could be the closest to Rammstien. Only bands that came close was Def Leppard and ZZ Top so far but for very different reasons.
Speaking of entertaining... your facial expressions had me laughing out loud!
Thank you for keeping your mind and heart open. I appreciate you.
love Rammstein one of my favorite bands of all time! You didnt get to see the flamethrower guitars in this one those are my fav
You have a German band in France singing in German and a French crowd singing in German. Given their history over the last hundred years or so that’s either crazy or a sign that times MoveOn
Even if you can't understand the lyrics the rock music speaks it's own language anyone can get the meaning of!
Especially when it comes to Rammstein, it's quit important to really understand their lyrics/music videos because otherwise you might get a wrong impression. You might think they're nazis or something like this. Because they like to be provocative. If you don't understand them it's hard to really enjoy them (at least for me)
My grandpa would be so upset seeing so many Frenchman singing in German.
It was decades ago and it´s a whole new generation or maybe just lost pride bc they needed only a day for paris.
we still paying and our children still will pay.
And what about you? Are you upset?
Have to watch rammstein in Russia 😅
France and Germany are friends since a long time. We are respectful partner and i like to visit france. People are friendly and nice and we learn french in school. Vivre la france...:)
I thought that was so cool. The French singing in German.
Welcome to the world of one the greatest German bands ever!!! This is just one of many songs and you just tapped in to them. You’re 100% on that stage performance! Congrats on an awesome review and a new sub!!
I'm from Germany and rammstein is one of my favourite bands! And I rly have to say your german pronunciation is pretty good! But you should have reacted to a non live version but anyways really nice
Usually I would agree with you on ther non live version but I love that video he watched, the pure energy coming off of that crowd, even I could feel it. So amazing!
Your reaction to the pyrotechnics is the best on the internet. That was pure reaction from something you’d couldn’t expect.
Awesome vid
You can see Rammstein live at the Madison Square Garden on Amazon Prime Video. Also the documentary about Rammstein in America and "Rammstein Paris" is available on Amazon Prime Video. In Germany at least, but if it's the same abroad, I don't know.
The second Till said "Du...." Doc went from 😀 to 😳. Welcome to Rammstein!
The answer to all your questions, SHOWMANSHIP BABY! Rammstein puts on the most visually stunning shows ever.
This song was really popular when I was a teenager. Been run seeing people discover them again so many years later.
I saw them in concert yrs ago & the whole band was painted silver...I soon realised it was fire retardant & why it was needed. The Mic stands were on fire, plus numerous other things. And the leaf singer puts on a chain mail looking jacket & then his jacket was on fire 🔥🔥🔥
Him: big eyes after the first few flames.
Me: "Oh, man. You just wait."
you sir, have earned the title of first American ever to pronounce Rammstein right on the first try.
@DocShadow not very many when regarding the youtube reaction channels who discuss Rammstein.
Well, not exactly...
R+ is the best and Most elaborated live show ive ever been to.
One of the members of the band is a qualified pyrotecnic.. Think its the lead singer.. And he brings his skills to there shows...
Til Lindemann (lead singer) had to be trained and licensed in the use of pyrotechnics because of their shows. At one concert, the heat from the fires burned through a set of lights. They use a lot of fire in their shows. The keyboardist felt invisible during the shows so the group came up with little things to do, i.e. walk a treadmill, play keyboard in a giant pot while Til boils you with a flamethrower, strap firecrackers on you.
Probably one of the best reactions I've seen to this song. 👍👍
I keep coming back to your reaction because of 9m 30s onwards. I just love that you appreciate 'showpeople'. There are those that give you a life experience, and those that just go, do a bit, and walk away with the money. The real stage performers want it to be as good as it can be - ever. Rammstein just top each tour with the next one. have a look at the 2019 tour stuff. F-ing jaw-dropping.
the dirty looking thing on their arms is actually instant coffee what they smear on their skin, it absorbs it and they get a cafein rush etc
they changed to decaff becouse of sleeping problems on tours.
Yeah, that is Rammstein:
The Treadmill was actually the alternative to a transparent "Hamster Ball" floating over the stage!
Now they use the mill on all shows and the mill can be turned 90° so Flake (the Keyboarder) can walk "towards" the audience.
The dirt they smear on is actually very thick instant coffee. I tried it myself and it looked incredibe! They decresaed the use of instant coffee (specially Flake, the Keyboarder) due to the high coffein content.
Great Reaction... There’s a trove of folks doing impression vids, and I’ve never seen a negative response. These guys are masters of their art. I’ve never seen any better of a performance.
I just subscribed to you because you are the first to pronounce their name right bro👍👏🏿 RAMMSTEIN ROCKS
That pronounciation of Rammstein was pretty good.
You already see in this performance that their singer is a professional pyro, the others got training. Watch the performance to "Mein Teil", it's completely insane.
The singer just turned 57. When I'm 57, I want to have his energy....🤟😎
Kokain is a hell of a Drug.
@@xxxJesus666xxx pretty sure Till's drug of choice was heroin, which this song was actually about him getting over his addiction.
@@joelhadfield5205, Till admits to having done pretty much everything except heroine. I don't reckon there's a lot else he hasn't done in life though!
legit this is the first video I've ever seen of yours and I just want you to know off the top I officially adore you any person who can legit appreciate Rammstein is good in my book sends HUGS 🤗💖
OMG I laughed so much at your board thats moving segment, and the realisation of the word treadmill.. Freaking hilarious. You beautiful human. :D
They are speaking German they're in Paris and everybody knew the words! How awesome is that
The lyrics are a play on words in this song.
Du
Du hast
Du hast mich ...
The word "hast", written like this, means "have", but it sounds exactly like "hasst", which means "hate". So depending on how you want to hear it, the refrain goes "You, you have, you have [..] me.." OR "You, you hate, you hate me".
When it goes on to "Du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt.", it becomes clear that it is "You have asked me and i didn't say anything." rather than "You hate me", but .....
"Willst Du bis der Tod euch scheidet, treu Ihr sein für alle Tage?"
This is the "'till death do you part" from the wedding vow, which is answered by a female choirs "Yes" countered by a short, hard male "NO!" ...
Thats about all the lyrics in the song, it's pretty much about the war that is love and marriage ;)
This song was huge when I was in college...it was in Method Man and Redman's movie How High...
Someone else has probably already commented on this. The 'post apocalyptic' get up on Till Lindemann (The singer) is Fire-retardant gel so he doesn't get burnt. He (plus some of the other band members are certified to handle pyrotechnics). Flake the guy on the treadmill playing the keyboards has a Van de Graaf generator hidden away which when activated causes the lightning effect. I'm pleased you enjoyed their song.
You might be thinking of mad max. Fallout was like this as well.
Both are just amazing...
we will not discuss fallout 76 tho… lol
There's also the Last of us.

Borderlands
I'm still laughing my ass off when I watch your video bro, your reaction is sooo cool and honest, you were enjoyed the video really. 😂
8:29 is by far the best shot of a live concert...Till into all that flames...just amazing
I loved your reaction and enjoyed the video so much, you definietly deserved the thumbs up man.
8:10 There's a saying that's developed about Rammstein in reference to another high-energy band. "Manowar kills, but Rammstein BURNS!" Rammstein is well-known for using a LOT of flames and pyrotechnics both in their live shows _and_ their music videos. Till Lindemann (the singer) is a licensed pyrotechnician and oversees the setup and arrangements of the fireworks and flame displays himself.
In past performances, they've pushed the limits on fire displays to insane degrees- from the band members wearing special gas masks with built-in flamethrowers to let them "breathe" fire onstage, to setting the mic stand on fire for the duration of a certain song whenever they play it live. For past live performances of one song that's based off the inspiration for the band's name, Till has actually donned a fireproof suit and used custom-built equipment to *_light himself on fire_* for the duration of the song performance. Rammstein doesn't füçk around with their concerts.
One of, if not the most entertaining bands to see live of all time
Pretty sure Doc Rich just compared Till to a raider from Fallout. 🤣
This band is simply amazing, you have to react them live, they are masters of pyro. A nice song to react is Sonne (a really heavy riff like all song of Rammstein) of course live:D
4:22 Yes that is the normal way they do live performance! Not a one time thing.
I loooooove your reaction and your enthusiasm!! Please do more reactions to Rammstein - you won't regret it 🤘 greetings from germany!
"Why would he ..." is the first question people ask about Rammstein
"Because you didn't expect that" is the only acceptable answer.
Yes that's a treadmill... flake uses it to keep in time with the band... That is blood on the lead singer. He is also a certified pyro technician.
This is what you get at a Rammstein live show. They usually sell out worldwide in 11 minutes. They even mark your tickets with "Fire Zone" if you are seated in an area with pyrotechnics.
Shows are amazing... btw the song is about Marriage/Proposal. Du Hast can mean "I have" or "I hate" based on pronunciation. The beauty of the song is you have no idea which until you hear the lytics. Good stuff 😎
Talking about a lot of people - they played in Madison Square Garden in New York in 2010. The venue provides space for 18.000 viewers and they sold out in 20 minutes.
got to get that cardio in my man. No skip days in this group.
I'm soooo glad you reacted to this! If you liked it, the lead singer (Till Lindemann), has a project in English. "Lindemann" is the name of the project. I am a huge fan from the UK and love both Rammstein and Lindemann!! Honestly was grinning when I saw my favourite reactor uploaded this :D
this dude took the “is he on a treadmill” reaction to another level 🤣
Flake with the Tesla coil lightning fingers is so out there you think its added in when it's not.
years ago Rammstein went to Phoenix/Tempe for an outdoors show. Show was canceled because the stage sank into the ground
Rammstein is the greatest show on earth :) \,,/ saw them live this june on their european stadium tour.. next year again :) it was insane!
Remember this is a French crowd singing in.....German. the same happens when they are in the USA, Southern America, Japan, South Africa or Australia for example. I have seen them on stage in 2018 and that experience knows now equal. Those shows are often sold out in minutes.
Awesome that you did this Rich. Listened to Rammstein since I was like 11 and without knowing what the lyrics meant the songs make you feel a certain way and just awesome to listen to. I recommend Kamelot - Soul Society (studio version, although they are awesome live), or Iron Maiden - Hallowed be thy name (Live at the Hammersmith). Both awesome and not quite like other stuff you've listened to so far.
Pretty much everything from Kamelot's "The Black Halo" album is worth a look, in my opinion (except for maybe Interlude III).
Thank you for your Videos xD I enjoy them all haha from monsta x to Rammstein just every thing
Hope you do more Rammstein in the future too
I say this in every reaction video, the treadmill thing is the least weirdest thing you would see at a Rammstein concert or to put it another way, the most normal thing you will see
Damn this live version was awesome!! Love this song!
Going to get to see them live in september thank god I am so excited that they are coming to Tx.
They've just announced that they'll be in America in August and that they'll play in 10 stadiums...so you could get your chance to watch them live
The lead singer is also a license protecting expert and sets up the pyrotechnics for the show
Love this song ever since hearing it on how high, method man wakes up redman with a joint blasting this lol
The lead singer is a trained pyrotechnic or something. So he knows how to use fire
Yes, that's true. Till Lindemann, the lead singer worked in pyrotechnics back in the day.
