According to Taranza's default pause screen description, Sectonia actually disappeared after the events of Kirby Triple Deluxe. Since her body was never found, this gave Taranza some hope that she may still be out there, hens him being described as "searching for his queen".
Actually Taranza was the one who gave Sectonia a cursed mirror as a gift not realizing what it was and how it would corrupt her into a narcissistic tyrant. It's completely not his fault though and the fact that he continued to be loyal to her until Sectonia outright tried to kill him is really friggin' sad. Also canonically the only reason he turned evil in Kirby Triple Clash Deluxe was because he found another cursed mirror and saw Sectonia in it. There's even official twitter artwork where Taranza's in the corner hugging the mirror and crying. It made him lose his mind to a similar corruption and it wasn't until Kirby destroyed the evil inside THAT mirror that he went back to normal... and then he becomes a silent NPC who just stares at a flower... But hey at least he still manages to look happy in the games in spite of all the crap life gives him! A real trooper!

Taranza may not look like suffering at first, but closer expection reveals he had grown a chronic depression since the events of Triple Deluxe. Heck, it was actually the depression which allowed the dimensional mirror to corrupt Taranza, the first place; it's the depression that counted as the darkness within his heart.
Fun Fact: Goldon and Silvox are incredibly vulnerable to the Three Mage Sister's "Sister Circle" attack, leaving them both with one hitpoint left. The only reason why they're not defeated outright is due to the transistion into the second phrase. Another fun fact: This game marks the first canonical appearacne of King Dedede's "Gordo Toss", an attack he could do within Smash Brothers.
I love it when they bring Smash content into the Kirby series...Like Master and Crazy hand's appearance in Amazing Mirror...Like the "Smash" copy ability...And in Meta Knightmare Returns, Meta Knight gains the ability to use his final smash, "Galaxia Darkness."

Taranza is a character that is more about making "set ups", and fortunately his controls are pretty easy, so it's not hard to perform those set ups. Web-stalk-ball-phantom combos take a solid chunk of bosses' health. Also, I noticed it has very good match-ups against certain bosses (at least in normal Soul Melter, haven't tried EX myself).

He is right up there with Marx and Magolor as the most overpowered Dream Friend. (Edited: I took into account of what his big burst attack does to normal bosses, so yeah this claim was a bit biased, he’s still a strong and useful even without too invincibility frames.)
Oh of course, they are most certainly as well. But the spider boy’s burst move (Charged Down B) blows the bosses health away like paper, at least the regular bosses when didn’t so much health.
He seems to have a little more trouble against the more active bosses, though - probably because his one projectile move isn't quit as good at hitting things. Marx's exploding beach balls are far more spamable and Magalor's fireballs travel a lot faster than Taranza's energy spheres, and of course Zan Partisan's thunder taiko barrage puts far more hitboxes on the screen.
VestedUTuber Okay yeah, I guess I was soley judging him from the high damage/versitility of Charge Burst and Dream Stalk moves and such. Marx and Magolor have high power but are safer picks due to more invincibility frames but yeah he is at least in the Top 7 of the Dream Friends, due to his versatility and power.
The lack of major invincibility frames aside from having an unbreakable block makes me think he's lower than them but he could probably tear through bosses as quickly as them if not faster if you know what you're doing. Or he could just hide in the upper corners of the screen and spam the death balls since they seem to be his safest method of attack and fairly damaging too.
iirc, parallel dedede's first phase is trip > trip > inhale > jump > jump > jump > hammer > jump > jump > jump > inhale > trip > trip > float, which ends there for me cos that's when i get to his 2nd phase. just muscle memory here so don't take my word for it.
the lack of i-frames made this run super interesting, Void fight gets really scary, u didn't suffer through vt's first phase but this is still useful information, u know that one red and white big rune that flies around during the void heart core phase? if u defeat that guy it drops a maxim, it is tough to beat but worth to do if u get unlucky

@@cirme9460 xD i used a specific team to get my way through soul melter ex. barely beat it, but i got it. so, you want to play as gooey or stone. have magolor, marx, and dark meta knight as your allies. go into it, use rock formation whenever u feel unsafe.

Lo unico que te salvara, es su brinco de telaraña, ya que es el unico movimiento con invencibilidad, hasta te ayudaria para ataques que los jefes realizan en el terreno, como los de Flamberge. Aun asi, sus ataques son muy buenos, y aunque no tenga buenos proyectiles, su Sectonia Oscura y la Rama de Habichuelas lo ayudan a ejecutar buenos combos, y su explosion PSI tiene buen rango de ataque y pega fuerte, y su escudo te ayuda mucho en los combates, ya que bloquea la gran mayoria de ataques y sin hacerte daño, excepto ataques donde te atrapen en el combo, como los ataques donde te agarran, o el laser gigante de Void

the only way to fight that void termina is through soul melter ex. you can fight morpho knight ex through the mage-sister's guest star mode.
