How are you spamming the guard so effectively? I have a turbo controller, and I can't make it work as well as you did. Edit: I just found out that you have to be moving constantly when mashing the guard button, because guarding while standing still won't be as effective.
I assume you are talking about the "turn into a blob of paint" move, which is the special guard Adeleine & Ribbon have. Normally, if you just mash the guard button, you will have to wait a bit before you can guard again. You can skip this waiting period by moving left/right. The way I did the mashing was I had my left thumb on the control stick repeatedly moving it left and right, while I had my right hand mashing L to guard. The exact controller I used was split Joy-Cons, so my right hand was mashing L while holding the right Joy-Con. Doing this to avoid the wait before you can guard again lets you attack with the weak attack from releasing the guard very rapidly. You can hit so rapidly that bosses will get frozen in hitstun, letting you continue to attack. Some bosses, like Parallel Dedede and Void, can't be locked in hitstun with this though.
