Unlike most god-queens, Sectonia was actually alright and Taranza apparently had a crush on her. But then that douchebag of a darkside, Dark Metaknight corrupted her and played off her hubris; pride. And as she was rotting away from the inside, he tried his best to bring back the queen she revered, but she was too far gone to care anymore. So the only thing left to do was to euthanize her. Poor boi needs some love.
at least you can tell he's trying to move on. He keeps thinking about her, it's really hard to forget a love that's gone, but he tries hard not to be left behind.

Nice little detail which is somewhat weird is that if you slow down the video to x0.25, the castle of the self-proclaimed king turns sad AFTER the roof is broken. It's weird, and I don't think it was intentional, but that's what I like to look for. Dem Easter Eggs.
This happens in every Kirby game when either the roof is broken or Dedede is in danger. It is in fact intentional.
