    The easier skill inputs will not make the game less punishing or lower the skill gap between players. In fact, it only makes the more experienced players have to input less effort to win. The decision to improve at the game itself is up to the player, not the developer. No amount of simplification will change that.

    I play BB / DBFZ, but when it comes to pro / experienced player, they are merciless will pressure you to the corner and beat you up in any given chance... a walking sandbag :(

    I hope they add a good story mode. It would suck if fighting game fans don't get a taste of that sweet GBF lore.

      Strongly agree on this, they need GOOD story/solo mode to prolong the freshness and lifespan of this new game.

      @@CrusaderKoon yeah, and why shouldn't they? Lore is one of GBF's strongest points. Between the anime, fighting game and ARPG they're doing the media mix thing again. What better way to introduce people to GBF but with sweet lore.

    imo, fighting games are punishing whenever you want to try and become better, this game ain't an exception

    Tbh recent releases fighting game is more easier for new player with easier input and more focused for fundamental play
    I dunno if this is your first FG since its GBF after all
    But fighting game with simplified mechanism is not a new thing tbh
    and also there's no fighting game with "not punishing" yes its simplified but the differrence between new player and those who already have an FG experience will always there.
    New player will always get their ass kicked and thats perfectly normal man. Isnt fighting game enjoyment come from skill progression ? The better you understand the game the more fun you get.
    Well hopefully more people will interested in fighting genre

    I hope there will be good mechanics for the best players and that the cd decrease is also good otherwise there's no point in doing the harder imput , what kept me interested in tekken is the feeling of accomplishment when your first ewgf hit in tekken . I don't know if people will stick to the game if it's easy , i personally didn't stick to doa7 because of the easy auto combo , fighting gales are hard but rewarding so it can be great to attract new players but a good way to loose the older players and the esport scene

    Koon. I have bad news for you. Granblue Versus being so easy not only means that new players can do the stuff they want without a lot of struggle, it also means Veteran Fighting Game players that know the craft for years even decades also have no problem whatsoever to do anything and it's 100% sure that it's going to be exploited in order to crush any new player that is paried up with a veteran. A Fighting Game by nature IS punishing.

    Players that plays GBVs but don't know about GBF should never know about GBF masked hell. Y'know, them armpits, chests and more of that costs more than a man's life in GBF.

    I wouldn't say the accessibility is coming mainly from Cygames they chose Arc System for a reason. If you ever check out some of ArcSys most recent games like Blazblue Cross Tag and DBFZ they've been trying to find ways to make it easy for newcomers.

      Arc systems has made fighting games easier, but the reason of why cygames chose arcsys to make gbvs is because cygames likes arcsys art style.

    After playing the beta, I disagree. This game will punish you if you don't understand the mechanics of this game, but there's not that many. Some are throws, universal overheads, dodge and evade, and wake up DP, and characters like lancelot who have cross up mechanics.

    Bro... Cygames dont have nothing to do with this game, they only own the franchise and publisher, the game its from Arcsys. And if you think theres no punishment in this game, man you got lucky in your figths xD.

      Pretty sure they still had a hand in what they wanted for the game. Licensing agreements doesn't mean free reign unless the licensor says so.
