IGN and Gamespot did review the rpg mode of the game, but they literally tore it apart. I agree with them. They could have made the RPG much better by making the rpg battle harder. The rpg is so easy that you don't have to care much about the grid at all. The mobile game's grid system is only intricate because we need to adjust it to survive and win hard raids/battle. GBVS rpg mode is just button mashing. You don't even need fighting game skills. They need to do one thing. Make the RPG mode harder. Make it challenging enough that people need to use the fighting game skills + weapon grid to overcome the battles. Only then will you have proper depth to it. Otherwise it is a joke now. Good thing is that the fighting game aspect of it is done well.
Happy its coming to PC but seriously sucks that no codes are coming to pc. I know people are going to say its too easy to refund the game and stuff, but there are ways to overcome the issue of the refund policy. For example, gating the code until more than enough hours have been played to prevent steam refund along with a certain number of days too. I just hope that Cygames has a plan to impliment codes in the future or at least somewhat reduce the price since pc players are techincally buying an inferior product. All things considered this is a good sign for Relink to come to pc as well.
Ah... confirmed no codes? I'm pretty curious about the reason behind it. And ya, this is a very good sign. They actually sold 150,000 copies in Asia in the first week, kind of beyond expectation.
I would probably say the same thing like 2 weeks ago, but now... after talking with players and taking part in a small GBVS tournament at a local game lounge, I found that this is a new horizon for exploration. I'm not saying that I like fighting games, but I'm trying to find out why people love this genre, the search to discover the answers is definitely fun :D I will post my research result soon in the next video, and see if I could fall in love with fighting games. lol...

About the new weapons, I don't mind either, as they would be released sooner or later, so it makes no difference in getting them earlier or later :P

I also really like having both my partner and I set up with Full Arsenal so I can spam supers.
Exactly, I find that Full Arsenal seems to be the most useful skill lol. Do tell us more about your encounters in the hard mode Connor. Btw, have you tried tower of Babyl?
@@CrusaderKoon i have, I've gotten up to hard Rose queen in Babyl (and proceeded to get hit by her 2nd forms lasers and die horribly) A lot of the drops from the tower seem to be Tyranny stuff which can be good but I don't really want more than one of in my grid since I'm not actually super great at the game. Also it takes a while to fight through 4 floors of mooks to get a chance at a drop from the boss. As for hard mode encounters themselves it's mostly involved attempting a boss, getting crushed, and then farming an absurd amount of items and trying again. On top of the wind weapons Narmaya also drops the items to make her special earth katana in the shop so that was another reason I farmed her, just to beat Ares. I already had good stuff for Colossus so I didn't have to figure out somewhere to farm for that, though Lancelot medals probably would have been a good starting spot, but Yggdrassil made me go back and farm more Narmaya for the previously mentioned drops.

At first when they announce that they will laucnh GBF as a fighting game around 1 or 2 years ago. My thought was "Is that a good decision?" because I see some fighting games launch only 1 time and it's not going well and disappear from the market. I'm a fan of fighting games since 13 though I'm not played too much to be a pro. I play Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Soul Calibur when the world didn't have online matches and my local didn't have any arcade. Just play with my older brother and friends. So I'm really excited to come back and play fighting game again after long absence. THIS GAME IS GREAT. It's been 2 weeks and I'm sticking to Online matches rather than RPG that I just clear normal and forgot to clear hard mode. Part of it was because I don't know how to get stronger to fight boss too. And I'm find fighting online matches are really fun to play because the game system are easy to learn. The input is easy and normal button didn't complicate like SFV or Tekken so I can learn what the characters can do and find one or two characters that I feels fun to play. Now I main Ferry because.... her button was so cheating. One press and hit half the screen so it's really easy to play poking game because I'm not good at reaction and often find myself mashing button and screw things up in close range though. But still learn Narumeia now because.... well.... her animation was so sexy. Look at her legs and stance!! What I like about RPG mode is the boss fight against primal beast which is really well crafted. The BGM is great and the boss attacks pattern are fun to play around with. Sometimes needed to run. Sometime needed to crouch to dodge the attack. It has a feels like an old side scrolling action games like rockman maybe? If you don't mind. Can you make a video about getting stronger weapon in order to beat hard mode? I tried it a few times and find it too hard to clear each mission without a good weapon grid in each element and I don't have time to randomly fighting bosses just to see what they'll will drop and determine to find the spot to farm weapon for specific element.
