Mikey love this poncho but maybe I am wrong but are your counts correct in the rounds. Because round 2 you said 47 and 47 that would be 94 plus the points which are 8 is 102 you have 104 are we counting those chain 2 before the 2 double crochet for the start of the point. Just a little confused
No you're not crazy - I found the same. In round 2 the count was 102, not 104 - an increase of 6 sts. After that the increase every round was 8. It delayed my progress because I went back to round two to figure it out!! Also, I downloaded the pattern and actually counted the marked stitches in round 2...102 sts!!! The designer wasn't so smart hey?
The counts are off. I have been crocheting for 56 years and I read the pattern and looked at the diagram and watched your tutorial several times. The counts do not match the pattern...
