Very pretty
I can tell you why it is so highly important that one uses a pressing cloth if you choose to iron the fusible on with the fabric side down. It looks so lovely glued to the bottom of the iron!! Oh what a mess!

I am trying to figure out how to make lunch knapsacks, so this is a great start. Maybe make a flap for one side and sew in some D rings or buckles to hold it closed.

Freaking adorable!!!!! I called my quilting friend (who has made one of these for me in the past) to suggest she sub you. I think I will be joining the quilting group at church because of what I learned from you 😁 Mine first will probably turn out like sh-- ( Episcopalians do curse sometimes), but I will have fun learning!
I’d love to take you with me to my of the block of the month class. I’m 8 months into a 12 month quilt. The teacher is awesome with her knowledge. But could use a healthy dose of Darlene. I’d give anything to see what she’d do with your I don’t give a damn about convention attitude. At least I’d have fun one time. I’m in too far to quit but I’m sure not enjoying the class.

I just LOVE watching your tutorials. Im going to try this tote bag. Just one question. You used muslin for the lining, but to me it looked liked calico? Living in a different country (New Zealand) the names of items often varies, so I have to ask. To me muslin is a very fine, thin fabric often used for wound dressings. Or in cooking . Many thanks for your natural way of teaching which can be very entertaining!

Darleen, Found you about a month ago and have not stopped laughing (and crying). Your approach to crafting is the best. More instructors should have your style & attitude. It doesn't scare students off from creating. If it's a fraction off matching and they get that close to notice, screw them. They don't matter. Please keep posting.
