    also, *LOVE* the reminder at 16:04 . 'progress is progress. writing can be extremely frustrating sometimes, but we all have a reason that we write, and we should 100% keep writing.'
    this video was so satisfying to watch. what an achievement!! 👏👏

    A lot of people would argue forcing a book in such a small amount of time is ruining the possible quality of the story. Something to consider is that the first few weeks or months, while you are inspired, is when you write your best work. This is the case for me. Pressure can be horrible but done organically can be very good for the end product, in this case being a good novel.

    • @SaraLubratt
      @SaraLubratt  3 роки тому +3

      I didn't force any of this tho which was the amazing part! I felt zero pressure and was just having a great time! The book itself is not done, probably has another 40k to go, but I am super happy with what I wrote as a first draft. Later drafts are for improving the story, can't build a sandcastle without first putting the sand in the box!

    I love your "Woo!"s after every 10K. It was great.
    If you count that a month is 31 days, rather than 30, ANNND you remember that you took your birthday off, you did technically complete the first 50K within a month. ;) I'm glad YT suggested this video to me. It was a lot of fun to watch even though I know it was from a while back. Congrats!

    Such an inspiring discipline and progress! I'm loving my streak this camp, I was so sure I was going to flop but my chart line just keeps following the nano goal to hit 16k this month. It's crazy bc, otherwise, I would probabbly not write everyday and would be so late in finishing my 200k first draft, so it's amazing you are able to do your own nano whenever you want!

    I feel the urge to sew you a super hero cape. OMG, Sara, what a journey!!! And not only these amazing, incredible, inspired days of writing, but your whole writing journey here on UA-cam. 5k in a day - would you have thought that possible a year ago? You really can be proud of yourself - heck, I am proud of you, LOL! You did an awesome job, and I hope you celebrate even more than with your cute dance. ^_^

    Wow! Well done. Loved watching it. But I was shocked, when I realized, that you had written "only" 103 pages at 45,000+ words. So I highly recommend, using standard pages. Since I'm using them I feel much more comfortable, because the progress can be seen more clear.

    Another GREAT video Sara...🤩.
    Because I am a BIG writer, I'll need way MORE words to finish my story.
    Which is to say that I am currently at 50,900 words/chapter 24 of my LGBTQIA+ Young Adult novel and with what I 'think' I want to say, I'm about a third of the way through.
    I guess what I'm trying to say is that people will never know how lucky they are when they can write a nice and concise story and do it in a nice and economical way.
    Sometimes less really is MORE!!!
    Just can't always get there myself...😔.
    But good on all of those who can...☺😌!!!
    Happy writing always...😊.

    • @SaraLubratt
      @SaraLubratt  3 роки тому

      Thank you, Winn!! The story definitely isn’t over yet, it’ll likely be 100k-115k but because 50k is the nanowrimo pace and that’s to “achieve” a very rough draft of a book is how I titled the video :) I definitely am more of an overwriter than this 😂
