I don't think Op sanses are cringe. What I think is cringe is sanses that are Op for no reason. Goku is a good example he's op but not for no reason, he had a lot of training before becoming op.
I of course don't think making something OP is bad you know! I like the concept of making some really powerful! Even if it's for no reason. Look at one punch man. He's OP for the purposes for comedy and sometimes the fights scenes can be really badass! But what I do have a problem with is that not many people are trying to make strong characters that are interesting. Only just trying to make them stronger for fighting, and fighting only. I think the undertale fight animations kinda made this worse. Cause if they can get their sans in a fight animation! THEY CAN BEAT ANYONE AND BE SO COOL! But we can't look at strong without talking about Alphatale. I think it's an alright story. I've talk to the creator of Alphatale and he's a cool guy. But... The story doesn't feel like it works for Undertale. I bet that if you were to put Alphatale's story in another place it would fit so much better! And I LOVE the concept of King Multiverse and Error 404. I think they have interesting concepts! But the execution in my opinion could have been so much better! Rant over! @@Hip_Studios I think I know what you mean with power creep. When a new sans is introduced it's expected to be more powerful than the classic version of sans . Exemples : people thought VHS sans was really powerful and where making up stuff to make him even more powerful than he actually is. It got so bad that the creator of VHS sans had to state he wasn't that powerful. Wiki sans is also a good example. Ink and error are also interesting. But people only looked at the power level of the characters and where making up some things to make the characters more powerful than they actually are Or the character is powerful just because he's powerful or the character is made up to be more powerful than he actually is.

@@Blank-un3xz probably not, Dream killed nightmare in 2 endings even tho nightmare absorbed 999 black apples and spread his negative aura in the entire town. Dream still could defeat him with 1 golden apple and the fact all the villages were corrcupted by nightmare aura make everything goes to nightmare including negative emotions. So yes dream isn't that weak as peoples thought. Nightmare only won against dream when he absorbed 1000he apple

So yes he used something more than positive to won in these endings. nightmare literally wouldn't be destroyed by positive Since There was only negative emotions since all the villages lost their sanity once nightmare obtained 999he apples. So the first thing we're going to notice. Is that fact that he survived nightmare and defeated him without positive source, even tho nightmare's tentacles are capable of melting dream. These are great durability feats here. Even when nightmare won, only in one ending, the best he could do is Turning dream to stone. it again means dream have way greater durability feats. dream also can create shield + can heal. And very experienced with melee weapons and aiming bow. So yes this makes dream take advantage over cross
