I think Miyako is more stationary because she's more of a slave to the Peddle's and the Mic. If you watch some of their Older concert footage she's Thrashing around and Headbanging almost as much as Midori. That and the complexity of a lot of their music lends itself to standing still and concentrating more on what they're playing. Just my take. Either way I love it. Don't mind the stoic nature of the "Evil Genius" I think she (Miyako) is.

Midori is a shredder and writes her own solos. Miyako does all other music from the band and as a trained pianist from the age of 3-4 has different classical style of guitar playing. She has that Gary Moore sound-i think that legendary Gary still lives through her style and that is beautiful. They both started to play guitar at 18-both born in 1990 which is also amazing, they are all about that age. Miho has that Steve Harris style-he is her idol which is more or less obvious.
@@massivemetalreactions it’s been decades since I’ve seen a really good twin lead guitar duo and even then, Midori and Miyako are actually the best duo I’ve ever seen in my 70 years. There may be others, but I’ve not seen them. From what I gather, these two ladies spend a lot of time hanging out and practicing together outside of regular band practice sessions.
I think they're different stage personas work perfectly with their different styles. Midori is the amazing shredder with quick fingers while Miyako is more emotional, with bends and vibrato. Perfect match. One reactor said it should be illegal to have two such amazing guitarists in the same band. it's unfair to everybody else 😀
This was one of the first songs I heard from them and was hooked. Love the solo work on this song (and every song). Every solo they play just fits every song so dam well. Just do a lovebites binge finding a new music and just digging it is the best
First let me say that I love your reactions. Your ear for the music is just amazing. Second , I’m really glad you are focusing more on Haruna. Japan is full of amazing drummers and who’s to say which one is the best. However, in imo NO ONE plays the song better than Haruna. Every time her sticks touch a drum or cymbal, it is about the song not her. She accents each other member of the band no matter what they are doing. Her cymbal work is second to none and you got to love that little zil bell. Keep up the good work.

Miho is a MASSIVE 5 feet and 0 inches tall. She's dwarfed by the enormous Miyako, who stands at an almighty 5 feet 2 and is the tallest in the band. I think Miho looks tall here because, in all honesty, of her combination of heels and outfit. It makes her legs look really long. Look at the size of the bass compared to her, though... it looks like she can barely keep hold of it, at times! 😁 EDIT: Also, your least favourite part of any Lovebites song is the second after it's ended.
also so much of the video is shot low angle, making them look taller. It's kind of fun, with them or Band Maid, like when you see Saiki standing next to the drum kit and realize she's child sized...

They made an appearance in Marty Friedman's japanese rock oriented tv show Rock Fujiyama where they talk about their top five guitarist that influnce them it's a two part episodes first it was midori and the second part is miyako you should check it sometimes.
The tallest woman you'll see on stage in any reaction video is almost certainly all 6' 1" of Floor Jansen. As others have said, LOVEBITES is tiny. There are pictures of LB with Helloween and Halestorm (on separate occasions) and it's like seeing humans and hobbits together. Asami has performed LB's namesake song with Halestorm on a few occasions, and she looks so small next to Lzzy Hale. The only thing I've heard LB say about this song is that Asami wrote it to give the band and the crowd a fun, "silly" song. It's like a break from the more serious themes and performances of the rest of the show. Great song, I love Midori in it, plus Haruna is awesome as always. They released a drum cam for Haruna for this one, but it's behind the paywall of their fan club. It was briefly on UA-cam on some random person's channel, and Haruna looks like she's having a great time. She doesn't even look at the drums during the chorus, just back there shaking her head side to side.

Your enthusiastic reactions are TERRIFIC and the analysis is great!! Finally figured out what to compare them to: Prime Rib (not comparing women to a piece of meat). I love prime rib, many places offer really good prime rib (the other bands). But when I want the BEST, out of this world tasting prime rib, I go to one place only. It's a longer drive then all the other places and much more expensive, but it is so damn worth it everytime! THAT is Lovebites to me, they don't get reacted to nearly enough compared to their fellow genre peers but when they do, it is so damn worth it everytime. They are top shelf (by themselves) prime rib...if that makes any sense. Easily my favorite band. 🐺🦊
It's funny that Miho looks tall to you. She's 154cm (almost 5'1"). She is taller than Haruna (146cm/4'9.5"), Asami (147cm/4'10"), and Midori (150cm/4'11) though (all of those heights are according to the members themselves). Lovebites are tiny even by Japanese standards. One of the reasons they wear white is precisely because they're so small, so they'll stand out on the stage. Miyako is the towering member of at least a whopping 5'2", which is around the average height for Japanese women. I've never seen her actual height confirmed, but she's definitely the tallest. She might even be 5'3". She's HUGE.
Love your passion for the ladies of Lovebites. It took me quite a while to warm up to them, maybe because they sounded to me like a lot of worse bands in the eighties. But I was wrong, they have their own sound and it's great. Sometimes music from the past makes it hard to really listen what's going on now. Because often it's connected to certain phases in life that were either pleasant, or not. One of the dangers of getting older, because it's not just with music, many different things from the past can trigger emotions not connected with the reality at all. And this taints the vision of the present. The reason most old people have come to a dull standstill. Things to watch out for, and music with this kind of fire helps a lot.
Yes, Myako is fantastic player, but I enjoy (also) some of their older performances with her old band "21 g". If you could find a song "1st Finger", you could see little different style of her playing (but still extra!)...Maybe because there she doesn't have Midori! 🙂 In fact, since you loving wrestling and those things...I think that this song is a kind of hymn for a Japanese franchise of MMA or something similar (I'm not expert for marshal arts)!

So much going on here. Miyako is using a John Petrucci signature wah. Her influences and style are EVH and Gary Moore. Midori influences are Kiko Loureiro, SYU san, and Nuno Bettencourt. Miho's main influence is Steve Harris, no surprise there. Haruna likes Helloween, "Master of the Rings" album. ( Uli Kusch ). If you want to see Lovebites doing Iron Maiden, check out: "The Crusade". Your enthusiastic reactions are TERRIFIC and the analysis is great!! Finally figured out what to compare them to: Prime Rib (not comparing women to a piece of meat). I love prime rib, many places offer really good prime rib (the other bands). But when I want the BEST, out of this world tasting prime rib, I go to one place only. It's a longer drive then all the other places and much more expensive, but it is so damn worth it everytime! THAT is Lovebites to me, they don't get reacted to nearly enough compared to their fellow genre peers but when they do, it is so damn worth it everytime. They are top shelf (by themselves) prime rib...if that makes any sense. Easily my favorite band. 🐺🦊

It's funny that Miho looks tall to you. She's 154cm (almost 5'1"). She is taller than Haruna (146cm/4'9.5"), Asami (147cm/4'10"), and Midori (150cm/4'11) though (all of those heights are according to the members themselves). Lovebites are tiny even by Japanese standards. One of the reasons they wear white is precisely because they're so small, so they'll stand out on the stage. Miyako is the towering member of at least a whopping 5'2", which is around the average height for Japanese women. I've never seen her actual height confirmed, but she's definitely the tallest. She might even be 5'3". She's HUGE.

Love your passion for the ladies of Lovebites. It took me quite a while to warm up to them, maybe because they sounded to me like a lot of worse bands in the eighties. But I was wrong, they have their own sound and it's great.
Sometimes music from the past makes it hard to really listen what's going on now. Because often it's connected to certain phases in life that were either pleasant, or not. One of the dangers of getting older, because it's not just with music, many different things from the past can trigger emotions not connected with the reality at all. And this taints the vision of the present. The reason most old people have come to a dull standstill. Things to watch out for, and music with this kind of fire helps a lot.
Yes, Myako is fantastic player, but I enjoy (also) some of their older performances with her old band "21 g". If you could find a song "1st Finger", you could see little different style of her playing (but still extra!)...Maybe because there she doesn't have Midori! 🙂 In fact, since you loving wrestling and those things...I think that this song is a kind of hymn for a Japanese franchise of MMA or something similar (I'm not expert for marshal arts)!
