I like how people are saying this recipe is terrible because it taste like banana and eggs, and doesnt act like a normal pancake
Well dur, thats what this recipe is. Its not meant to be 10 star material here, and also this is for people concerned about health, or other things. You can't seriously expect to mix Banana and egg together and expect it to turn out completley different.
I like the protien in this because it does help both pre and post workout, Which is what a lot of people need. And if people are eating these for workouts, chances are they have had alot worse things (Like protien shakes are terrible) So its not that bad for what it is

Notice: Make sure you can eat both Banana and Eggs before trying this recipe. As that's literally what is is and meant to taste like -_-. SMH at people who made these using the only 2 ingredients, then complaining that it tastes like the ingredients.

+Tanika's Misadventures People are complaining because they just simply are not banana pancakes. No doubt they probably taste okay for what they are, but there are a lot of inexperienced cooks in the comments looking for simple recipes not realizing this is essentially just going to make a banana omelette.

I can eat the egg boiled and eat the banana raw... Much easier and tasty.

The point is: banana and scrambled eggs is not a very pleasant taste. She's advertising it as delicious and "foodgasim" material (reference 1:52 ), so people are aren't looking for "not bad for what it is." PS -- She calls them "banana pancakes," but it's a little misleading since it's actually a banana omelette made to look like a pancake. Like someone else said, if this is for health, I'd rather eat the banana and the egg separately. Taste better, same nutrition.

The definition of pancake is “a thin, flat cake of batter” which this is.

Wait till they stop sticking then flip make sure if they still stick push you spatula down then pull back I've made these a lot and you just need to make them right and mix well and they taste amazing!

Update: I've found the recipe that works for me. Two eggs + one ripe banana. I mix them well with a blender and I use a good non-sticking pan with a tiny bit of oil so that they don't stick. I serve them with honey. They taste really nice and it's a very healthy breakfast.

I put my own twist on this recipe and they turn out great every time! I do 1 banana and I mash it up while it is still in the peel, two eggs, a dash of cinnamon (okay actually a lot because I LOVE cinnamon, a little vanilla extract, and some dry oats! Then I blend it all together and as the pancakes are cooking I sprinkle a little more cinnamon on them. Then after I cook all of the pancakes I put a little bit of natural peanut butter on top and the tiniest bit of maple syrup. Sometimes I add fresh strawberries too! & for the people who are saying they didn't turn out right: try using a griddle, they come out so much better! Trust me!

Just made these! WOW!! I did 1 banana, 1 egg, cinnamon and vanilla powder. The trick is making small pancakes so easier to flip. Will SO be making these again. Next time I may add chia seeds or hemp hearts. Maybe tiny chocolate chips. shredded coconut. Options are endless!

these turned out really bad, the second time I made them they were way better. Instead of just banana and egg, add a two teaspoons of cinnamon, and either 1 packet of Non-bitter stevia powder or a tbs of agave nectar. tastes just like the real thing!

When I made my pancakes they ended up VERY WATERY. I thought this is how it should be so I tried to make them but they just ended up like eggs with banana. So I just put in some oatmeal flour (ground up oatmeal) AND IT MADE all the difference between eggs with banana and pancakes so if yours ends up too watery I strongly suggest doing this

    • @Pixelynx

Pretty sure all the pancakes. On average, one banana is 105 cal and one egg is 72; x2. Which would add up to 249.
It would be a bit more or less depending on the size of the banana and egg though. This is for a medium banana and a large egg.

Louise Zhao No, you really don't need any flour! It's always worked for me, I've made loads of these, you need to get the oil in the pan hot, and only put them in once it's up to temperature or you'll end up with broken up pancakes or scramble! But just do it exactly how she does and it'll work! Use a hand blender instead of a normal electric whisk cos then you won't get banana lumps either ;)

Linde Rock For anyone who thinks I'm wrong, please, UA-cam search "Banana pancake" and you'll see this is probably the only time/place where you'll see the non-use of flour. Everyone I know (plus other recipe Vlogs show that it's standard pancakes, only difference being the use of ripe banana.)

    • @grayovercast
      @grayovercast 10 років тому +9

Van Iyke Just made these. You don't need flour. You said it yourself. Standard pancakes. These aren't standard pancakes. The whole point is to not use flour. Make sure to mix very well and have your pan or griddle up to temperature before cooking. If it helps use one large egg. Not sure what size eggs Cassey used. Just make sure the mixture looks the same before cooking.

this sort of thing is taught to babies. it's a theme in kid shows, books, songs. we learn about the life of farm animals in school and also the food pyramid. i don't think it's fair to blame location or the education system for something this basic. i think these people are just dumb, at least when it comes to this.

I've been doing these pancakes for such a long time and I'm in love with them. For the people who doesn't like it, you can add some cinnamon and cocoa powder it's AMAZING. Also I sometimes put some little fruits like dried or fresh blueberries, cranberries, cherry etc. If you add these fruits than there's no way for them to taste bad. Who doesn't want a pancake which is low calorie-carb and high protein, right?
