If you used lets say 5 teaspoons of clear, and 1 and a half of white.. the application would be much more smooth, and still real opaque. Just a tip.

In order for women to be colorblind, both parents need to be as well
When doing acrylic swatches I reccommed using the top side of the swatch to avoid any colour discrepancies! Great video however! I think you should bring out your own powders, you have impeccable taste ❤

White acrylic is actually a little harder to work with. I've been making my own colored acrylic for 6 years. If you use 1 part white, to 3 parts clear it comes out and opaque color like you're looking for, and is way easier to work with. I've even found you can use less white than that and it still comes out opaque. Sure this is too late for you, but for anyone looking to make acrylic mixes in the future.
Edit:spoke too soon, see you did end up doing more clear than white. 💛
For the glitter ones, try putting the acrylic on top of the swatch otherwise the plastic will dull the glitter ☺️ LOVE these videos btw 🔥

To be honest the clear worked a lot better than the white, i wish you used both greens and ombred! Elwynn forest is my fav

Pastels are very deceptive to work with, they look so vibrant until you set them. Even with clear coatings on a art pieces or dolls makes them look dull or washed out. The clear did look better, I agree.

I was so excited to see another one of these videos! From personal experience, to get the glitter to show up on the other side, rotate your brush and basically place the bead upside down. Cause when you go in to lift the bead from the jar the glitter is stuck closest to the bristles so by flipping your brush you can place it glitter-side-down instead of the bulk of the colored powder! hope that helps :D

Edit: can you do a series where you do different nail techniques (acrylic, polygel, nail forms & nail tips) for beginners
When using this method, I highly recommend using mortar and pestle to blend colour with acrylics to have a flawless result. Thanks for the inspiring video.
Thank you your the chalk hack, I've been curious about it. I really loved how your thumb turned out. That very pretty blue really made your ornaments pop. I wish I could have seen the other nail tips different decorations better but the contrast just wasn't there. Your enthusiasm is infectious, I can't wait to try this. Thank you.

I’m not trying to rude like I luv ur vids but the reason the swatch’s r showing kinda trash on the sticks is cuz it’s flipped so putting the stuff on the inside would make the other side the under of the nail that’s y the back looks better then the frount so if u want an accurate example then put it on like real nail not on the inside like u we’re doing

I can’t even decide. At first I thought the blue one might be my least favorite one but after you blinged it, I was in love! The golden waves, the red flowers, the neon green flame 🔥! I love the whole set!
You don't need a lot of chalk and that goes for any acrylic making even when using pigments. Use a tiny bit of coloured chalk or pigment then clear and only a tiny bit of white to make the colour more intense. So 60 % or70% clear 10% white then 20% colour and glitter. Doing it this way will make it work so much better and easier to work with.
I was thinking the exact same thing. The amount of white she used was the reason why you couldn’t see the glitters also, using the finest sanding band on a very low speed will make the chalk come off like dust, without the chunky pieces.

Hey Emily! I haven't been here in a while. Not anything you did or that I didn't like about your content! I randomly developed a severe allergy to acrylics, nail polish, dip powder, and gel ingredients (acylates). Iwas so devestated that I was medically unable to follow my passion and love for creating nails that I stoped watching anything about nails. I have been a sub for a long time about 7 years if I'm not mistakes. Your videos helped me learn even more about doing my own nails at home and I was so inspidered from your weight loss journey I when on on myself I am down 100 lbs (350 to 250) another 100 to go to reach proper BMI for my hieght. Anyway I used to do my nails all the time and I had finally gotten good enough to do others nails not for money (yet) but just for the love of doing nails and being creative (and practice). I always used the cheap Wish stuff for my nails and the more expensive for other people because I wanted them to last longer and look better versus I know I changed mine up every week lol. On the weekend before my anniversery about two years ago( by now), I used a Wish kit to do a cute red with pink hearts and black lace " sexy vibes" set. The next morning my fingers were EXTREMELY itchy. By the night they had sollen up like corndogs and my body just started feeling weak and was retaining water. I went to the ER and they said it looks like a severe allergic reaction to the nails and I should get them off immediatly. I did so as soon a I got home (8 hours later) but by then 3 of my actual nails came off with the acrylics. YUCK! I have not done my nails in two years. I did attempt a cuple nail polish brands but immediatly got itchy so never tryed anything again after that. I did how ever try to grow my nails long that didn't work so well but I have been able to maintain a medium length so I am happy about that. My sister put me on to nails strips about 3 weeks ago and I don't feel that same anymore. There are so many different styles and mixing and matching plus nail "tattoos" and stickers that I can still do nails and maybe advocate for natural nails. I don't know hwy I am even writng this but I just started catching up watching all th videos I missed and feel kind of shitty for not watching you content becasue you had nothig to do with my nail issues. Any who I am notw back to enjoying watching your nail videos!!!!! And I've sure missed you!!!

You can get a really fine mesh skimmer from amazon to sift out the particles before use. I just recently started making my own and it helps get out those unblended bits also I'm getting a grinder thing from amazon to have it better mixed

I would suggest using pastel chalk because it goes down smoother and it's really bright and it doesn't go to like dry or chalky it's perfect

The lady from absolute nails does her swatches in the dual forms and then just pops them out when they completely dry to get a really good effect for her swatches. Maybe you can try that?

I think the sparkles sink a bit if they are heavy and that might be why u can see them all at the back bc they sunk to the bottom

I make my mixes with chalk as well and as a final mix I use a mortar and pestle and it removes 99.99% of the left over chunkies. ❤

If you did another one of these, I suggest doing a clear with a little bit of light blue. Then some holo, dark blue, and light blue glitter. Then it could be like, ice storm or just an icey theme.
You should've mixed all the colors together EXCLUDING black chalk.

White acrylic usually dries faster so you should mainly use clear and add a little bit of white
I’d recommend using soft pastels, good soft pastels are primarily pigment but chalk has filler ingredients in it!
