When doing a 5 petal flower, think of it as a star. Firstly put two petals like a downturned V shape, then two at the sides horizontlly and lastly one on top! Hope this made sense, love your videos Emily!
looks like i’m buying temporary tattoos for the first time since i was like 14. i never would’ve thought of using temporary tattoos for nail art, such a good idea!
Finally someone used would've correctly!!!! I get so irritated when I see someone type would of, when actually it's would have!! I'm glad there are still a few smart people left who know how to properly compose a contraction!
The reverse strawberry is so cute!! I think the biggest issue with using hot glue instead of silicone to make molds is longevity. The hot glue seems like it would probably start to crack and get messed up pretty quick. It seems like a great way to test out molds, though, to see which ones would be worth making in more durable (and expensive) silicone. This video is just full of fun ideas, I'm gonna have to go play with nails now!!🤗
while its true that the silicone in hot glue is not as flexible so it can crack more easily, the good thing is that you can re melt it and don't have to throw away the mold
@@unmichingui omg yess! This is so smart a year ago I was playing around with some hot glue, and I made the mold in a bottle cap and as you can guess it was sooo difficult to take out. Even though I put oil. Anyway after I got it out I had previously put the charm in so taking it out was no problem but it cracked. And I didn’t really like the charm so I ended up throwing it out which was dumb but hmh 🤷♀️
I honestly have no clue how you manage to make such different designs on each nail and still manage to make them look like a full set! You say you arent artsy enough, but you absolutely are! I love love love how you incorporate so much into one video! Definitely my fav UA-cam channel for claws and relaxing 🥰 keep being you xo
The carving out and then applying the colour over the top is exactly how I would have done that nail and how a lot of techs do colour blocking. Looks great , loved the contrast of the pink and black
Yay I'm so glad to have a video from you today. My kitty passed away a few days ago and I have been a mess, your videos always make me happy and keep me distracted from life. Hope you, David and the doggies are all good and have a good week Emily! 🥰
No wayyyy did the tattoo come off so clearrrrrrr and easy .. my fav was the bubble poly gel . You should do a whole set doing that method , give it another try since you didn’t like it ❤️
They all turned out great love the glob one with the polygel, reminds me of a georock very neat and I would if globed more glitter after all the filing because it’s beautiful and the shine is lovely and not too overpowering
I literally love how long all your videos are. Most UA-camr‘s videos are right at that 10 minute money making mark. 😂 I can actually sit down and enjoy a good video when you post! Love u girly. 💕💕
This is such a fun video! I wonder if you could use a stamper to help apply the temporary tattoo? I learned to do that with water decals from Natalie Mugridge here on YT, and it makes it SO easy to place them! You just cut out the water decal and place it paper side up on a clear stamper, use a brush to wet the paper, then slide it off and the decal is left on the stamper, ready to apply! I'm definitely gonna try it with temporary tattoos now
Also I wondered, if we can use temporary tattoos on nails, can we use water decals on skin? Unless there's chemicals in them that are only safe on our nails like how you can get contact dermititis from uncured gel Lol
The oil works to fill the scratches and so it appears smoother, same as when you use primer to fill in your pores so that your makeup appears smoother and I do love that carpet inspired pinky design.
Thats not how it works. If it was just filling in the deeper scratches with material lifted by the sanding then cleaning the nail for the top coat would clean that filler right out. What this is is wet sanding like you would to achieve a mirror finish on a table top or car, just on nails instead. It dose actually result in a smoother finish. The fluid acts as a lubricant and helps move particles away from the sanding area. This keeps the sandpaper(nail file) from getting clogged with large particles that would otherwise cause larger than intended scratches. Typically wet sanding is done with water. I imagine nail techs started using cuticle oil because it was handy, with the added bonus of oil being thicker and therefore probably staying on the nail better. With wet sanding more fluid, more better.
I love the flower and the strawberry nail. The charm is so cute! I have always enjoyed watching you, you are so down to earth and humble and you have such a beautiful soul Emily. Have a great evening.
wooooaaahhh, that mold idea is soooo perfect! you can even shape the back rounded instead of flat to fit the nail even better... I'll keep at least one of my nail charms and copy them, lol xD for silver I can also use chrome powder or eyeshadow... so many ideas, I need more hands !! xD
ok wait that "bubble" nail (which makes me think of jawbreakers) TURNED OUT SO COOL THOUGH what the heck!!! i love how the sparkles are sat right in the middle of the color blobs! it looks so sleek and colorful, like a geode crossed with a lava lamp!!! 🦠🌋💡
Ok I’m OBSESSED! The pinky finger is my favorite one. It looks so interesting, strange, and cool at the same time! You really made these hacks more unique!
EMILY!!! I'm so jealous. There is no way I could do a 3D flower and you first attempt? Wow! I love it when you were done the pedals it looked like a blue daisy to me. GORGEOUS! 👍😁😀
2:04 with the tweezers hurting your fingers from keeping it clamped, try wrapping a thin, small hair tie or rubber band around the closed end of the tweezers and then sliding it up to hold them clamped on the nail. This was something my mom used to do to hold joint roaches! 😂 but I imagined it would work well for this too!
The temporary tattoo and strawberry nails were my absolute faves!!! That little charm came out so good!!!!! I have a million glue sticks at home. I want to mold everything 😂😂
Try holding the nail tip with pliers when you put the acrylic on...better grip and doesn't hurt your hand....the charm is just ingenious..so clever 💚💖🍓
I do temporary tattoos a lot! If you toss it into a bowl of water for 15 seconds or so it will slide right off the paper. Wet your entire nail with water and you can slide the tattoo into it and have a few seconds of a grace period to move it around and prevent wrinkling!
Oh. My. Goodness. I absolutely loved the temporary tattoo demo!! I love to use water slide decals on my nails, but, this is a total game changer!! Thank you for sharing ♥️♥️
21 seconds ago? Heck yes! I get to finish off my workday with something wonderful playing on my main screen ♡ Edit: I always put temp tattoos on my nails, haha. Like... almost all of my manicures have a very extra temp tattoo accent nail with some tiny Sailor Moon fanart someone converted into teenie-tiny tattoos! Your nails just came out way too cute and all different yet not. I love these sets with different nail designs!
DUDE! Love all these nails! I freakin' LOOOOOVE the one with all the gloopy layers!! I dunno' why, somethin' about that one is just so fun! The strawberry one is tooooo good. They are all amazing...I love them! and I love you and your content lady!
LOVED The strawberry nail and how you did the charm for sure will be doing that hack! I also loved the tattoo nail and how that hack turned out as well as your 3D flower art 💙💚
I love the glob on nail! I saw something the other day that was tiny colorful micro beads that stick when wet i think and I saved the pic to try and make my nails look that way without all the little micro beads because id prefer it smooth, not whole nail covered in tiny balls. And that technique I think I may be able to implement it! So thank you for posting! I'm excited to try!
Cinnamoroll turned out so cute! I was impressed!! 😍 And also the mold done with the hot glue, wow!! This video was really entertaining Emily!! Good job! 💓
Yes pleaseee I've been waiting foe diy charms I feel like you'll do so very well! You should try making one with cold porcelain as well and this glue stick trick again
I loved watching you do all of these hacks!! The charm hot glue one was definitely my favorite!! I feel like you could do some really awesome things with that hack. I’d actually really love to see you do a full nail set with the blob French tips!
I really love them all!!!!! But my fave top 3 are; 1. Polygel pile-on!!! Love it! 2. I really love the tattoo one (I think you could do some really awesome stuff with that one) and 3. I always love your homemade charms! 💜💜💜💜 and those are not in specific order! Lol I love your work Emily! 💕💕
Not sure if this has been commented yet, but try adding a little acetone to your monomer for the 3D flowers! You don’t have to wait as long for the bead to dry. You can almost instantly spread the pedals with it. Super awesome hack! ✨💕
I don't normally comment, but I really am very thankful of your video's. Been wanting to do my own and you make all of us feel like we can totally do it. Thank you, Emily ❤

Yes! This!
Omg thank you so much for this tip!!
That is so helpful. Lmfao. So simple but now I get it. 🖤🖤🌈🌈🙏🙏
Also just using tiny dot's to mark the centre and the end of your petals using like a clock face method. Then join the dot's.
We love an art tutorial momenttttt!
looks like i’m buying temporary tattoos for the first time since i was like 14. i never would’ve thought of using temporary tattoos for nail art, such a good idea!
I use them all the time I usually put a top coat over mine though. Amazon has some awesome ones for very reasonable prices

@@cyndibarnette8679 So what do you think about as people who have dyslexia? I guess we're not considered as smart due to no fault of our own. lol
@@cyndibarnette8679 how often are you seeing that for you to write an entire paragraph on it under a post about nails lmao
@@reneemondragon7203 dyslexia has nothing to do with that, actually as I am dyslexic and have adhd!

@@ashleyklinder7961 I have used it for little things like this, but it's not very durable either🤷♀️
"I feel like I've been getting good luck with art looking the way I want" girl that's just you getting better!!
the temporary tattoo and strawberry mold BLEW me away, I'm so impressed those worked and I 100% have to try them out.
The polygel pile-on nail is gorgeous! It looks like a gemstone.
I actually love the globby gushers nail. It looks like abstract crystals or something to me. Like geodes or whatever it's called 😂
Geode nail would be so cute

I love the reverse strawberries! Really cool idea!
Without the pinky black nail, the nails actually go together!! My favorite was the strawberry nails because of the charms hack. WE NEED MORE!

3D Flowers on the Cotton Candy Colored nail is my favorite, it's super cute!! 🤩🌸🌺🏵️🤩

The mold one by far had me shook, it really work :0 I'm so here for these hacks 😌 You look so cute Emily, I adore your hair 💓💓💓💓
💅 LOVE THE pink and blue pastel ombre nails!! Soooooo PRETTY!!! 💅 ❤
The circle shape of your face cam perfectly crops your hair to look like a long bob, and jussaying, if you ever make the cut, it would look SO CUTE!

I’m so amazed by these design concepts and the executions. The variation is so engaging :) true talent
