Hey Björn, a big beta update (4.4.0) was released just now. I think it addresses almost all of your concerns. Pretty much all bings and bongs can now be switched off and the car seems to handle way better while using X-Pilot. Not slowing down as bad in curves, adapting to people overtaking you way better, no bings and bongs, etc. Would be cool to see your impressions again, maybe compare it to Tesla FSD in Europe.
The big question will be whether X-Pilot is now just a gimmick that's too annoying or a feature to really consider when buying the car.

Agreed, nice to see a test. I see industry experts and a Tesla employee wager that FSD europe wont happen until after 2026 - and that’s not even a guarantee.
The legal system is too regulated, no automated actions allowed (lane change, off ramp, reroute, basically everything required)

Also on market is a new HYC_400 while visually indistinguishable do have 100 kW power stacks so can push 400 kW out. There are no 87.5 kW power stacks. Those on video are certainly HYC_300. Pretty big update coming this month (March 2023). The beta for it just released. It will seems to solve pretty much all the software complaints in on go. Now to see if they can deliver.
Maybe try the car again when it's released?
    It features:
    - Bluetooth sound quality improved.
    - Battery capacity can now also be displayed in percentage.
    - Charging stations in navigation can now be filtered by charging capacity.
    - German language setting is now possible.
    - Fewer disclaimers for apps.
    - Improving the translation of functions in Dutch and other languages.
    - DSM (driver monitoring system) can now have 3 different sensitivities: low/normal/high. High is what the standard was before the update.
    - LSS (Lane support system): number of warnings significantly reduced to the most necessary and legally necessary. Less vibrations on the handlebars.
    - IHB (intelligent high beam): Should be more precise, turn off the lights earlier to avoid annoying oncoming traffic. Should be better on highways too.
    - X-Pilot ACC (adaptive cruise control): should work more "smoothly", less braking by parked cars at the edge of the street. Also improved logic in processing speed limit changes. Now automatically maintains speed when switching from LCC to ACC by steering movement.
    - X-Pilot LCC (Lane Centering Control): Traffic light detection has now been added and appears at the top of the driver's dashboard. Optimization of acceleration and braking, so less slow acceleration and less sudden braking, even when drivers merge in front of you into your lane. Also less delay in corners and less chance of the system switching itself off.
    - ALC (automatic lane shift assistant): Feedback has been improved and timing of acceleration after the lane change has taken place has been improved. ALC should be able to be the primary means of lane changing on the highway.
    - APA (intelligent park assist): Has become better at parking in spaces. Better comfort due to fewer sudden movements during parking. Better at parallel parking on roads and also in narrow streets. Less time switching between forward and reverse during parking movement.
    - 360 degree camera: tires are now visible under the chassis. Transparent chassis has been improved. Steering direction and tire position can now be seen in real time. Optimization of the driving direction in 360-degree view to prevent parking damage.
    - Beeps: fewer beeps and visual notifications during X-Pilot with ACC, X-Pilot with LCC and ALC while driving. A more peaceful and user-friendly driving experience should be the result.
    - Air conditioning: anti-dust function starts earlier, reducing the risk of air conditioning and window damage.

Seats was rock hard, and both me and my wife got carsick from the suspension! I absolutely fell in love after the first testdrive and ordered one. But we cancelled it after a seconds test in a different car. Also some of the screen functions were strange and idiotic. Missed the view of blind spot when blinking. So we dropped out and are very happy with the Tesla. If build quality is not consistent we did not want to be the first owners of these cars now. I'm thinking that in 4-5 years time. I have 71.6 Usable Kwh at almost 67,000 Kms and 2 years old, new was around 73.5 Kwh so that would show a loss of around 2 Ah or around 2.5%.
The Id3 82 Kwh offers around 73.5 Kwh when new so it has a very large buffer and in a way it annoys me that I pay for 82 Kwh battery and can only use 73.5 Kwh when new. I understand a buffer is needed but VW annoy me by constantly trying to make you charge to 80% which I find unnecessary with such a large buffer. Having said all that, I really need to take a reading of the battery health when it's around 20 Deg C but that's very difficult to achieve in Ireland but as the battery gets colder it's not able to store as much energy.
60 Kw Charging is a pain in the ass in reality, it's not much better than my 2015 Nissan Leaf 28 Kwh, 21 Usable.
You have to be plugged in at around 10% or less to achieve 130 Kw and that's with a warm battery which in Ireland is never going to happen, even in Summer here the temps can get to 8 deg C or less, that's 46.4F and more than enough to ensure a cold battery when away from home without being able to preheat the battery even though it has a battery heater.......but VW are not alone in that regard.
I would never again buy an EV that can't charge at over 200 Kw + Winter and Summer.
I had high hopes for VW ID cars but DC charging lets them down badly in my opinion.
A European Diesel can get you 900+ kms any weather and 5 min refill or less at 60+ Imp MPG. That's 3 times the distance of my 82 Kwh 71 usable Kwh EV that takes much longer to charge and means you'd need around 200 Kwh battery to give similar range, impossible due to weight.

But at 20% plugging in I have never seen more than 60 Kw, however I have not yet fast charged with the new 3.2 software which was supposed to up the charge power.
One advantage of the big battery id3 is that I don't need to fast charge much at all. Living in Ireland means you can't drive too far anyway without landing in the sea which has big disadvantages because we're cut off from mainland Europe.
Even though Ireland is a small Island the public DC charging network is complete and utter shit.

First time I plugged in at 10% so this might have been the reason for improved power because it's known that on ID cars you need to be plugged in at 10% or lower to get good charging speed.
So 10-42% took around 17 mins.
Battery temp was just over 30 Deg C when I unplugged and sadly I didn't check the temps before I plugged in because I'm curious did it heat up from charging or did the battery heater warm it up.

Seems to be range calculation based on real soc, which is connected to real voltage. Lithium ion batteries always have a nonlinear voltage drop over soc. Looks like they did not block some capacity from use and gave customers full control in the hopes they will not completely empty it.
Very good for range testing, not ideal for new customers which will freak out the first times they get really low. Otherwise one explanation why power was reduced early into the charge. Current will have been limited to avoid battery degradation. European cars would likely not do it like that.
As for the alpitronic hyperchargers: maximum power is voltage dependant. 350kw may be possible at peak voltage, which is between 920 to 960V. The CCS Connector is rated for maximum 500A of current. This is a hard limit. Only lucid and maybe rimac would be able to get 350kw out of that charger at the time of writing this.
As for power reduction and bounce back at higher soc: in combination with the cooling system going full blast that looked like a battery temperature related limit. This reduction will increase with rising ambient temperatures.
