Actually, this is pretty standard for Disney. It takes special people to be cast members anyways, but they’re trained really well to handle interactions with adults with special needs.

@@socialoutletssilencemetheTRUTH Yeah, I hate it when I hear of someone using Autism as an excuse for bad, offensive or dangerous behavior. I don't mean where you mess up and put your foot in your mouth and apologize (been there too much), but where someone persists in really nasty behavior and claims they can't help it. They harm not only those who run afoul of them but every Autistic person who ends up labeled as dangerous because of those who use it as an excuse.
Like the kid at my daughter's school who was stalking a girl there and the parents tried to pass it off saying he didn't know better. If he's aware enough to attend school without an aide, he's able to learn what no means. Not everyone is able and that's another situation. But for the love of all things good, we've got to at least teach them what they're capable of learning.
Sorry, bit of a rant. I was also pleased to see how well he behaves. It's got to be extra challenging when your kid is a grown man and you know how people are likely to react to him if he so much as stares at them a little too long. They're doing great and I hope he handled the rest of the day okay.

He blackmailed me as well, and threatened if I didn’t come over to his house for more he would show everyone pictures of us. My step sister has autism not major, but it is something I am trying to overcome, is being scared of autistic men. Women I don’t seem to have any issues with, but autistic men scare me. I tried to go to the school for help cause he was assaulting me at school, teachers literally saw it and did nothing, I’m not kidding. I tried to move seats on a few occasions but then I got into trouble for attempting to move. The school brushed it off and didn’t believe me and said “he wouldn’t do that” I’m 22 and still need therapy and I’m still scared of men, anywhere I go I have to have someone with me, I won’t go anywhere alone.

Special is not defined by what you NEED; it's defined by what you GIVE of yourself to others and to the world. ❌️ Because there are MORE people in the world, TODAY, consumed by hate than there were prior to the Civil Rights Movement!
❌️Because some people are born with "soul cancer;" others are TAUGHT!
❌️Because, rather than be DECENT, (Aka; different, unique, individual) people gravitate to haters & the faux power they seem to have. They just simply follow along because they're too ignorant to want to be BETTER.
❌️ Because people are lazy & its MUCH easier to look out for oneself than to take a stand on behalf of others.
❌️Because people are so spoiled from having easy lives that its literally IMPOSSIBLE for them to relate to anyone who doesn't! They're simply CLUELESS!
❌️ "Because until someone else s struggle affects ME; it doesnt "affect me!" (& by "me" I do mean "anyone, in general.)
❌️Because bigotry (like hate but more specific) is FAR more alive than it's been in the last 200yrs! And by definition; "bigotry" MOST DEFINITELY includes ANYONE whos differently abled in any & every way.
❌️ And... for the coup de grace.. Greed: Ex. "They don't have it THAT bad! They should get a job and stop faking for hand outs and attention."
      So...

@phantasmm i think she was made redheaded (with white skin bc thats how natural redheads are) to drive the whole uniqueness and exotic nature of her being a mermaid wanting to be human. The way they remade it makes her look basic tbh. Its only unique to people who have never seen black women before, and thus to most people in America, it loses the charm. That, and the fact the lighting was terrible in the movie.
