Dead Colour on 5050 SMD RGB Strip

Apologies for the lack of quality. I don't know what happened there.
This video shows what happens when 1 colour on 1 (or more) SMD fails completely. If it is mounted far enough away from the display surface, about 8 or more cm, even a failure like this is completely invisible. The colour just blends in with the other LEDs meaning repair of the strip is usually not needed. White inconsistency is usually not noticed until a large portion of strip has lost a single colour, which is rare. - Наука та технологія

what if the same strip is multiple colors and i just want it to go back to all parts being the same color?
How come this is the only video on UA-cam that demonstrates this problem.
Because these little LEDs are robust af. I have tens of thousands of hours of full power use with this strip and have yet to see a failure. I had to miss-handle the small section shown for three days solid before even that happened, I even showered and slept with it.
Blaze the Fox lol. I had this issue right out of package. this video is the the only vid I could find with a similar issue that actually explained what the prob was. Well, thanks info within the video.

Where the two strips Connect there is a little dot make sure that it is lined up and also make sure that one of you led strips isn’t upside down and the other one is right side up

When this video was released strip light was fairly new and most of what you could buy was universal to what was shown in the video, things have changed a lot now. You get strip-shaped LEDs in all shapes and formats now and the associated failures can be as unique as the strip is.
I'd love to offer advice but I don't think I can be of any help in this particular situation

My LED strip splits into 3 sections, first section blue green and red work, second section only red and green work and third section only green works. One half of the strip lights up only when held at a certain angle. How can i fix this?

hi i tried to press the 3 part on the led lights till it turns the correct color, ans that worked, happened again today havent tried fixing it, u should try that!

So practically I turned on purple and then parts of the led was red and blue .-.

i have led light of multi colour but whenever i switch to red it turns off like my red led is not working what should i do
I was very unlucky, I bought a 65.6 foot led light set with four rolls and one of them had half of it infected were if the color was white, half of that roll was yellow, I think this is because since there are little lights that have a red, green, and blue light the blue one stopped working on the part of the roll but I don’t know how to fix it
uh, when i turn mine to purple the first half is purple and the other half is red same with other colors it could either be one half of it being the color i want and the other half another color or one half of it turned off and the other half the color i want if i make sense. i need help 😭 & i just got these yesterday.

Were you able to repair it? The same thing has just happened to me...
The easiest way is to cut out and rejoin the strip, either with a spare section or just solder the two strips back together. If it's already installed try leaving out a section and replacing it with wire.
These strips are designed so that if it's set up far enough away from the reflecting surface any odd colours shouldn't show up anyway.

chaerry not really... For that price I didn't even bother learning how to replace or cut the leds out, just bought a new strip.

@@twice1674 i had this problem, and after watching dozens of useless videos like this one, i managed to fix it on my own. my led lights are by daybetter, if you have a different brand, this solution might not work. If you look at each individual light, you will notice there is a little bump in between. For me, i have multiple segments of y strips that are random colors when i press white on the remote. So i went to a segment that was red, and just pressed the little bump. this solution got most of the segments back to the proper color for me. I hope this helps.
tldr; press the little bump in between the individual lights with a problem.

I have 5 led lights in a row on the strip that either have a different color, do not turn on, or with some colors it works perfectly fine. Anyone know how to fix it? If not, no worries, since it’s not the whole strip itself

I have had mine for around a yr and they began failing like 3 months ago. Just like this. I don't have them mounted but I don't move them in any way. They are just lying on my floor then pulled up onto a dresser which brings some of them behind my monitor.

@@twice1674 i contacted the company that made the product and they sent me a replacement, but not as cool as the one that i ordered. same ligfhts but the replacement doesnt follow the beat of the music
yall i tried fixing mine when i first bought it, just press on the parts that r different colors (the 3 part) then it should come back as it should be
today it happened again and ill try to do the same method and update 🦖

for me it’s only one of the individual lights that have lost its green colour and it’s rlly bugging me ;/
