I think alot are just coincidences, you could probably do this with any movie. But since John Lasseter is at the helm of Skydance, it's no wonder they're similar. The similarities are from John Lasseter using is experience from years at Pixar. It's not like when Jeffrey Katzenberg stole the idea for A Bug's Life, and tried to get ANTZ released first.
Specific colour schemes are not exclusive to Pixar. It’s what helps make scenes convey their specific moods. It’s basically just pathetic fallacy but being visually utilised and shown. All animated media us use it since our minds usually connect certain colours to certain emotions (e.g. yellow/bright colours = happiness or danger in some cases, blues/greys = sad, purple = fear, green = disgust etc.) Equally almost all of your points fall flat because it’s not a Pixar exclusive trait like the main character having large eyes- most cartoon characters have large eyes like that because the eyes are the most important trait of a character a lot of the time- they help convey emotion and tell us a lot about the character and their personality, most cartoon characters have large eyes.
Most of these are just coincidences because Andy's room and the other room look nothing alike, "Land of luck" and "Island of core memories" don't sound similar and lots of movies have talking animal companions
Sometimes I daydream about having the power of good luck and giving it to others. I use a book that has stickers with different good luck symbols that work for 24 hours.
I'm not sure if they are copied because lots of movies have talking cats/animal companions and end with animated credits but I still love your channel ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
You forget to mention the creators of most if not all the movies you mentioned in comparison. Creators left pixar and went to skydance. So skydance is basically the creative minds behind all the beloved pixar classics.
That is something movies want to do, a great example is Prince of Egypt (Dream Works). The main character is in a dark cave thing. But then god talks to him, and when that happens large burst of light comes out changing the mood. 4:52
But Inside out was produced by Pixar in collaboration with DIsney, like many other of the described film. Pixar is known for those traits and characteristics that makes her unique and different from Disney
I really think the main things these movies have in common is John lasseter some of Pixar's crew and apple computers technology maybe read the credits and and we dont need to figure out why its similar.
cats can no longer have collars because Disney did it first in “the whole world” Also you can’t have a cat buddy anymore due to disney/pixar also having a movie with a cat.
I'll admit that I got frustrated hearing about the "same face syndrome". It really isn't what's happening, for one, all the characters they showed have different facial shapes, eye shapes and nose shapes, not to mention that they have other differentiating traits from one another. Plus the big eyes and smaller mouth is simply a style choice. Same face syndrome is when you kinda make the same thing over and over again, like making the same pose constantly or the same expression. I can say that from experience, plus it's mostly seen in drawings and still art, not so much in animation, though that of course doesn't rule out that it can happen with animation.
Wow he used the “talking animals”as a steal?DOES NOT COUNT LOL EDIT:same thing with the “super natural stuff in the real world”or whatever it’s called even the same with the made up technology lol
I learn design graphic and Animation 3D for mostly 10 years with a conclusion very simple: WE THE HUMAN BEING WE USE ARCHETYPE AND MOSTLY THE SAME KEY CHARACTER/SYMBOLS FOR TELL STORIES RETOLD FOR MANY TIMES THROUGHT MANY AGES AND CIVILISATIONS. So stop the « plagiarism cry wolf » peoples which do not know these terms are easily piss off or pretend to knowing better things because they posses a cell, phone in their pocket. 2nd JohnLasseter did cartoons for mostly more than 30 years in cartoon with Pixar so he must have use the same reference as the number of his keyboard in his cell phone. The only big difference here it’s this Luck movie does not have a Disney trademark signature but still from a American production.
Come on man, Luck is just Sky Dance’s first movie. So it seems a little unfair to compare it to Pixar movies. Even though John Lassiter did create Sky dance Studio. It’s still a new Studio that hasn’t found it’s Identity yet. That’s like comparing DreamWorks is spirited movie with Disney’s Snow white.
If you want a good movie, especially animated, you want an emotional core. Most amazing animated movies has a strong emotional core. Now idk if this is a good movie bc I never watched it, but it looks like it would be good. 6:41
I don't even think elastic girl could stretch this hard- Luck is not the only movie to have these traits- not to mention most of the creators from Luck came from pixar what did you expect?

True
Yes
*A L O T **
A ton

Srsly idk what they were trying to do there with the name thing
Plus with lightyear and luck both movies came out the same year and since animation takes years it would be impossible for luck to copy loghtyear
Wow Lightyear was the first peice of media to have a cat partner to a person?
I could have sworn I've seen that dynamic in Coraline and Hocus Pocus
Hocus Pocus two comes out in two days :O :D
Never seen Caroline before though.
Sometimes I daydream about having the power of good luck and giving it to others. I use a book that has stickers with different good luck symbols that work for 24 hours.
Ok
Can I have some of that
With number 3, movies do that with end credits it’s not just the incredibles
Exactly think abt boss baby
It’s really hard to make a movie fully original and independent. Soemthings are there for coincidents or for inspiration
"land of luck" is not at all similar to "island of core memories"
I wouldn’t say it copied it’s more like a reference
More like inspired.
I agree
To be fair, I think many of these tropes have been done before Pixar (such as a talking cat or an unexpected voice coming from a character).
I'm not sure if they are copied because lots of movies have talking cats/animal companions and end with animated credits but I still love your channel ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
I went crazy seeing that A113 at Bob’s file
Same
Literally none of these are copied. It's lassaters art style and ad you said, he runs skydance.
Amazing video 👌
2:03 hmmm… maybe because mostly all rooms have an opening?
I didn't get that part are they saying they copied toy story by having stuff most bedrooms have
Thumbnail: luck copied lightyear because they have a collar!
Me: most cats have collars….
talking animals is not just from pixar
I love what you do
Me when I see a cat in an animated movie (it's an obvious Pixar clone)
The talking cat trope was done in a Rick and Morty episode so there’s that too
I totally enjoyed Luck.💚💚
I adore Bob. He is so cute 💚💚💚
I think there should be a short film of this or maybe a sequel.
I'm actually watching this before I've seen the movie. 😅
Same
Bob sounds like Gru's Voice
At 0:34 in a blink and you’ll miss it moment the screen says sector A113.
Pixar’s big number is A113!
If that isn’t a reference idk what is!
You forget to mention the creators of most if not all the movies you mentioned in comparison. Creators left pixar and went to skydance. So skydance is basically the creative minds behind all the beloved pixar classics.

One thing they might've copied from Dreamworks also was the romance between a dragon and a unicorn, just like Donkey and Dragon from Shrek.
THE THUMBNAIL HAS ME CRYING!!! THEIR COLLARS DON'T EVEN LOOK THE SAME SO HOW IS IT COPIED??😭💀💀
Like, only 1 of these makes sense but the others are you just trying to make the video more than 2 minutes long.
But Inside out was produced by Pixar in collaboration with DIsney, like many other of the described film. Pixar is known for those traits and characteristics that makes her unique and different from Disney
In what world do "The Land of Luck" and "Island of Core Memories" sound even remotely the same?
Aside from that, literally none of this was stolen...
They said Pixar had talking animals and because of that Luck copied them :/
Imagine Skydust is pixar/Disney but a different company
Bob sounds like Buck from Ice Age and Rootie sounds like Hamm from Toy Story
Because they were played by Simon Pegg and John Ratzenberger (yet he couldn’t even play characters from post/2020s Pixar films? Poor him!)
Speaking of young girl from 'Luck', she reminds me of Raya (idk how).
There will be a moment that we won't be able to do anything because it was already been done.
Isn't it kinda ironic how the movie called Luck has a black cat that apparently are bad luck?
Actually in Ireland black cats are good luck
@@dusty9327 Wow! I did not know that. Thx for the info
No im pretty sure that’s the point of the movie judging by the advertisements
5:56 am i the only one who thinks that the pigs looks like the pigs from the movie sing 1 and sing 2
No
5:56 your timestamp wasnt working for me huh yeah kinda does
BRUH LUCK CAME OUT BEFORE
6:16 literally every tv show, movie, book, and anything else
And Moana don't forget her she was also a Disney movie
I like how they bring up that they all have supernatural beings even tho what makes a good movie without a supernatural character
I believe that some of this similarities are due to the fact that jonn lasted wrote luck , and jonn is an ex Disney employee, or one of the high ranks
i honestly thought luck was a pizar film at first
Bob's deep voice is similar to Chip and Dale's deep voices in the film adaptation of "Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers". Did anyone get that?
0:34 wait, is that A113?
No.The cat isn't copied of lightyear. It remind me of coraline, lightyear itself was a disaster
Talking animals? WHAT? THATS IN ALOT OF MOVIES EVEN BOOKS AND ANY FORM OF MEDIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really think the main things these movies have in common is John lasseter some of Pixar's crew and apple computers technology maybe read the credits and and we dont need to figure out why its similar.
Dude, Mei’s mouth is HUGE
Thumbnale be like :OMG LUCH HAS A COLLAR LIKE THE CAT IN LIGHTYEAR A LMOST AS IF EVERY CAT IN THE WORLD HAS ONE!!!
Who has eyes that big
Me: it’s pickachew
its been around since people could imagine
1:22 how the heck are any of those names similar in any way?? Other than the word “of” and “land”
I saw the A113 with bobs sector thing
1st and JIT TRIPPING!
Alright most of these are just stupid "main protagonist has a cat a kids room looks like a kids room"
This is like saying they ripped off Pixar because it's an animated movie
Basically they ripped themselves off because they all left pixar.
The same studio that made lightyear made luck
The only thing I didn’t like about luck was that it kept saying luck all the time
With this logic you can say that light-year copied Hocus Pocus. That has a taking cat companion. 0:22
cats can no longer have collars because Disney did it first in “the whole world”
Also you can’t have a cat buddy anymore due to disney/pixar also having a movie with a cat.
no spoiler alerts
I already know that bc I watch the light-year and the luck my 2 favorite
Isn't almost every animated and some time live action movies and shows one color scheme? 4:27
hey Sox is my favorite cat
This is a joke in a lot of movies. Shrek is one example with the Big Bad Wolf, and a ton in Gravity Falls. 3:02

It’s called barrowing..
Wow he used the “talking animals”as a steal?DOES NOT COUNT LOL
EDIT:same thing with the “super natural stuff in the real world”or whatever it’s called even the same with the made up technology lol
Me having huge anime eyes. Am I a Pixar character?
Most companies do this. 5:28
same with supernatural in the real world
I learn design graphic and Animation 3D for mostly 10 years with a conclusion very simple: WE THE HUMAN BEING WE USE ARCHETYPE AND MOSTLY THE SAME KEY CHARACTER/SYMBOLS FOR TELL STORIES RETOLD FOR MANY TIMES THROUGHT MANY AGES AND CIVILISATIONS.

funfact:Sam the main character looks like a design another company made for samsung
Did you know there are talking animals named Humans in real life and Humans appear in LUCK!
The girl's face looka more like the one in Spirit Untamed.
Come on man, Luck is just Sky Dance’s first movie. So it seems a little unfair to compare it to Pixar movies. Even though John Lassiter did create Sky dance Studio. For the animation stlye : THE PERSON USED TO WORK THERE WHY WOULD THEY NOT HAVE THE SAME STYLE?????/
do you all know if thers Wong in pixel and every cartoon it will become drakness cloud
Anything looks same in the movies.
This guy : hurr durr it is copied!!! Reeeee
Ikr, this channel is a CLOWN 🤡
just 1 big question.. lawsuit??????????????????
So Annie for the most part has been copied by Luck? 6:58
If you want a good movie, especially animated, you want an emotional core. Most amazing animated movies has a strong emotional core. Now idk if this is a good movie bc I never watched it, but it looks like it would be good. 6:41
listen lightsnack you stay away from Andy, he is mine.
luck came out before lightyear
The Incredibles end credits is basically any movie.
I think the bugs life one is just an excuse for more because there’s movies movies of characters where their voice is deep but looks like a girl
I don't even think elastic girl could stretch this hard- Luck is not the only movie to have these traits- not to mention most of the creators from Luck came from pixar what did you expect?
yea this guy might as well said the animators copied breathing from the people at pixar
how do i block someone on youtube
Doug from up
I think it's more so of a Coinciden The whole encreditest thing I'm pretty sure other movies do that as well
It was inspired or a coincidence
SKYDANCE
Well you can see in the trailer of luck: from the creators of cars and toy story so I prefer Disney teamed up with skdance
All those creators left disney/pixar for a reason.
This video is REACHING 😰
Luck sounds boring now that it is guilty for copyright ©️
Very vague examples...I don't think any of these can hold up in an argument.
Actuly luck was made before light year
Pixar looks contrasti while luck look watched out
