  • In this video of the Ford Connect high top campervan conversion, I respray the van, having taken care of the any bodywork issues in the previous episode (See links below for items used). The van is rubbed down with a red scotch pad to break the original clear coat, which gives a smooth but broken surface for the new Raptor paint to adhere to. The Ford Connect is resprayed using white Raptor paint which is extremely tough and hard wearing paint, meaning the bodywork should be protected for many more years of use. Now the van is resprayed, I can proceed to mount the solar panel to the roof of the van which will then allow me to start the internal conversion work in upcoming episodes.

Looks ok and another step closer to the end product. Looking forward to seeing you fit the solar panels I need to fit one to my van but don't know where to start. Do you work on other van tubers vehicles perhaps you could help me.

Looks quite stripy on the bonnet and the drivers side at the end of the video …is that just the camera / light ? or does this type of paint need another coat ?

thats a mix of the light and the paint still not being fully dry, although another coat certainly wouldn't have hurt things

Being textured paint, it's going to reflect light differently to non-textured. That may also be a contributing factor.
