- I was not properly prepared for this first oil change on the C6 Corvette. It didn't help that my mind wasn't in it either!

C6 Vette is one of the easiest oil changes, IMO. It takes longer to get the car in the air than the actual oil change.
That was the main thing.
The tick you were talking about is very common on these motors. All aluminum pushrod motor so you hear all kinds of noises. Could potentially be a minor exhaust leak at the manifold also.
Yeah definitely think it is just the nature of the engine.
@@SpeedCultureStudios yep they are noisy things. Mine had some excessive ticking aside from the injectors when I bought it, and was bone stock. Now I have a cam, long tubes and stiffer valve springs and it sounds like a very pissed off sewing machine.
@@bwill03z76 headers definitely make it worse. The thin wall metal lets all that valve train noise through - but if the cars loins enough, you don’t hear it anyway 😂
Oil udder will help pull that oil filter off mess free. Game changer for me.
I'll look into it.
Sup bro did you get rid of the 350 z cause I don’t see it ….of course good 👍🏾 video as always
Still have the Z!
I always did RP 5w30 in my LS2 for whatever that’s worth.
I don't think I've used RP for engine oil but have always been a fan of the rear gear fluid.
it is supposed to take 5w-30 like you say but the link in your description goes to 10w-30
I’ll have to check that. Thanks for letting me know!
🔥🔥🔥
shouldve used the cup method for the oil filter
I was telling myself that as I was unscrewing it lol. I don't usually drop the filter either!
Cup method?
Hi my name Anthony I have a q50 2015 I’ve been interested in buying coil overs BUT I CANT FIGURE OUT IF I HAVE DDS OR NOT I have a 2015 q50 base model 4 door awd the vin is JN1BV7AR8FM400926 I don’t know if this helps I just really need help figuring it out lol thank you
Stopping power and handling first and always before power. But being a Grand Sport I'm not sure what you really have to do there.
Totally agree. The car has plenty of power to have fun with. Obviously has the GS brakes, but a more aggressive pad will make a big impact. Tires will probably be the first thing though.
@@SpeedCultureStudios pads and tires are love on a stock set up.
@@MrTilbin I think that’ll do the trick to start.
Just paid $690 a piece for 345 30 20 michelin ps4s. Worth it though. Used to just spin in second gear now I'm hooking and booking!!! Great video boss
Q50 traded for this?
Did you sell the q50?
Yeah he sold it to a guy in Albequerque for $271k
@@stradivarius151 seriously?
no, not seriously lol
