Lukewarm street beers rule. Sometimes I go hang out with the dude that stands in front of the liquor store. Can never understand the word he says and he's got scabs all over his nose. He's drunk from the time he wakes up from the time hepasses back out and wakes up and gets drunk again.
Sierra is actually from W.V, believe it or not. Her brother was my 1st boyfriend lol & back then she was a little girl. She was in a band 600lbs of sin with a guy I also grew up with, Josh T. & they're both (individually & together) seriously undiscovered pure magic! She was living in New Orleans last I heard, not sure about now, I think shes touring & recording an album or 2 which is AWESOME bcuz man! Her voice is something we havent heard in decades!🙌❣🎶

I love seeing people experience Sierra for the 1st time. I know this is 4 years old, but I’ve been watching her for a while and it never gets old seeing people experience her for the first time.
She's from West Virginia, not the old easy, but she's one of them who left home as a teen and lived the vagabond busker lifestyle. An exceptional talent.
I hit this performance two days ago and I’ve been losing sleep searching for more and more of Sierra’s music since then. She’s ridiculously good. Haven’t been this obsessed with a musician in so long. 😍
Love that tune, especially his version....But Tod plays banjo, right? Would love to see a guitar teacher try to explain that. Not being sarcastic....I'm a guitar player and the banjo is a mystery to me.
Sierra Ferrell is a Giant! Her vocal quality covers Winehouse, Peroux, The Carters, and beyond. A rare songwriting talent as well. She obviously has experienced some big pain. Listen to as much of this lady as you can.
Her vocal phrasing in this is astounding. Her placement of accents on certain syllables and accurate intonation and ornamentation is so refreshing. This is a backwards pentatonic riff, yet so creatively applied. By the way, her entire new album is superb.
Its time to re-visit Sierra and check out something from her recent liver performances. She's got herself a super tight, very solid band and you can see her genius coming through in being a band leader. It's a spectacular show. I credit this reaction video for introducing me to Sierra. Thank You Michael.
Reminds me SO much of Iris Dement. Her song Our Town brings me to tears because most times you just can't go back. "the sun is settin fast and just like they, nothing good ever last."
This is why I love UA-cam. All of these bands you've been reviewing I've found in the past few years through UA-cam. It's awesome to witness someone else find them the same way.
Sierra Ferrell is heart and soul into her productions, which is how I see them, like she’s putting on theatre. She doesn’t need big dollars to provide a quality experience, no smoke and mirrors. I’m drawn into her world in those moments. She’s a quality entertainer!

I'm from Sweden and love Sierra Ferrell and her music, saw her on a Swedish program from Nashvill, "Jills Veranda"
@@jeremysalmons6424 Nice! New River Gorge area here. Love Sierra. I don’t know if you’re new to @Michael Palmisano Channel but this guy is the man. Best instrumental breakdowns on youtube.
Believe he is referring to the aesthetic and where the VHS team found her, this is very much a Bywater look (scattered stencil tats, hairy pits, septum piercing ) there are hipsters everywhere but they just embody that "cool" NOLA vibe in Bywater.
Charleston, WV girl. Used to see her sing at the Empty Glass. She sang with 600 Pounds of Sin for a while. Tremendous talent and voice and had to get out of here to get some exposure. Think she moved to Nashville 5-6 years ago now. She didn’t get her “look” in Nashville, it’s been hers a long time.
Glad you found and like Sierra Ferrell, you will be hearing a lot more of her in the near future. She is incredible. My personal favorites are “Made like that and “The sea”
Talk about off the beaten path. I traveled all over Virginia for business over 28 years and visited Galax exactly once. Grayson County was still dry then (don’t know about now). Went to a bar/restaurant in Galax called the Broken Wagon Wheel or something like that. Seemed pretty rough - I don’t stay long.
Hahaha so cool to literally watch you fall in love with that woman by the end of that first verse the same way I did when I first found her 😂😂😂 Cool shit man, glad you chose to check her out 👍🏼
I came to know her from street performance videos, first in Seattle, then New Orleans. Unique voice and good songwriting. She moved to Nashville and worked her way into a record deal. Performs with bass and mandolin, sometimes fiddle. Love her praising and retro quirky style. Many live club date videos.
This is wild because she’s in my friend group 😂 she’s actually based in Nashville. She’s one hell of a singer, and just as good of a dancer! Sweet gal 💜
She is from Charleston West Virginia. My favorite song by her is rosemary. I love the story telling way she sings it. I'm not sure really how to describe it I dont know any musical terms but I think you would really enjoy it. Also I really enjoy watching your reactions to all these artists music is the one thing I can always turn to that gets me through the hard times I've been dealing with.

I love Sierra Ferrell, I found her after watching Benjamin Tod's stuff. That is why I think you should pick a Benjamin Tod song, maybe "Sorry for the Things."

You just watched a man's heart swept away by Sierra Ferrell and his life will never be the same. Same thing that happens to anyone who sees her play.

Benjamin Tod - The Mountain
It’s a cover but my god is it a masterpiece
Everything Ben does is gold.
