    Making kerfing... It will be hidden inside the body of the guitar and is one of the most important components keeping the top back and sides together. The kerfs, or cuts, in the basswood allow the strips to conform to the shape of the body when they are glued to the sides.
    Up until this build, I cut them by hand or inconsistently on a band saw. The jig in the video was heavily inspired by Kevin Caton of Caton Guitars. Most of the articulating components were designed in Fusion 360 and printed on a Makerbot in PLA. Kevin has made plans and assembled jigs available if you can't go my route.
