two questions.
1. in the quran, there is Maa and Maaaaaa, ie short Ma and very long harakat Ma when reading with tajweed. is that any indication of negation or preposition?
2. the word Ma Sha Allah has Ma in the beginning. according to your explaination, the word Ma here is a negation. but we always translate as WHAT Allah willed instead of NOT Allah willed. So what is it now?
assalmu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa baraktuhu. 2 harakat maa like meem and alif are the same as 5 harakat maaaaa like meem and mad on alif, they both have have the same meaning to the best of my knowledge. for your second question maa is a very flexible word and can be used with many different meanings depending on context. The word "Ma" in "Ma Sha Allah" is not a negation but a particle used to express wonder or admiration. It is often translated as "what" or "how," indicating that the speaker is in awe of the subject being discussed. It is commonly used to express appreciation for something that is pleasing or pleasing to God's will. It is not used to negate anything. Again this is to the best of my knowledge so I'm sorry if my explanation isn't best, barakAllah feek wa jazakAllahkhair.
