Great walkthrough. According to the service manual the caliper bolts (rear only) are one time use stretch bolts, (torque then add a 90 degree turn) like a lot of VW/Audi stuff.
Hello, good video but your title needs updating for the year of Golf, on my 2016 Golf MK7 TDI you don't have two nuts on the main clamp as shown. You have a two torx bolts, cover by a plastic Cap. Also for electronic handbrake models, its probably advising to make sure this is turned off from the two button inside the cars centre console. This will allow the rear wheels to move freely when on car jacks. But make sure you place bricks in front of the front tyres, or place the car in park / reverse gear.
To remove the caliper carrier bolts he uses a whole system of flexi knuckles and extension bars, but then to replace them it's just a standard torque wrench and bit. What am I missing here?

What is an XZN socket? VW, why not use torx or hex?
XZN No. 14 is the designation of the required key; in this case, a torx or hexagon is not suitable.
they're also called triple square or spline bit. if you own a VW id recommend getting a set of them, VW use them all over their cars
