- Dale Ratzlaff is the founder of Life Assurance Ministries, Inc., which publishes Proclamation! magazine, and LAM Publications, LLC. He was a fourth-generation Seventh-day Adventist and pastored in the church for 13 years, seven of which he spent as a Bible teacher at Monterey Bay Academy, La Selva Beach, California.
Near the end of his doctoral program at Andrews University in the 1980's, Dale did an in-depth study of the investigative judgment and the cleansing of the heavenly sanctuary, events which Adventists teach began in 1844. Becoming convinced he could no longer teach this doctrine in clear conscience, he and his wife Carolyn left the Adventist denomination.
He published Sabbath in Crisis (now updated and republished under the name Sabbath in Christ) in 1990. In 1996 he published The Cultic Doctrine of Seventh-day Adventists, and in 2000 he produced his third book, The Truth about Seventh-day Adventist Truth, which was revised and republished in 2005, in 2008, and again in 2010. In 2006 Dale released his audio-autobiography, Adventist to Christian, which is now in print and entitled Truth Led Me Out. His wife Carolyn has also published her autobiography, My Cup Overflows.
Dale and Carolyn reside in Casa Grande, Arizona.

I joined the SDA church in 2013 but never really believed Ellen White was a prophet, when I started voicing my concerns, I was relieved of all my duties in the church, people started treating me like a criminal, I stepped down as church Elder, now I am searching for a church where I can fit in. This program has helped me decide to drop my membership from the Church.
Left the church and haven't found another. I pray you find a good one

I met a male member of the sda church and had a conversation and I felt compelled to research the founders of the sda church as I’m doing listening to this brothers testimony . I had a taste of another gospel . I will not be carried away .

@@7ashoBeam Are we under the New Covenent or the old covenent? The old covenent was given to the Israelites to separate them from the rest of the world. The covenent was given on mount Sinia. The two stone tablets were given to Moses. The 10 comandments were the old covenent. What was in the Ark of the Covenent? The stone tablets were the covenent! We are under a new covenent through Christ and we follow what he has commanded us to do. He is our Sabbath rest. Everything was a fore shadow of him.

I'm a Born Adventist, after studying BIBLE ALONE for 4 years I found out that EVERYTHING Adventist do and preach is NOT according to the word/Bible. I praise God I came out and starting my own church/Ministry to teach people to be a born again believer and be a disciple using their spiritual gifts.

SDAs don't understand covenants sadly, the Sabbath was not changed. What happened in Jesus was that the requirements of the mosaic covenant was fulfilled by His death, burial and resurrection. Fulfilled not changed....the ENTIRE law (all 613 and not just 10) pointed to Christ and was a shadow of Him. Jesus is our Sabbath rest.
Please note: we are not saved by how many biblical doctrines we know and understand correctly, we are saved by a person, Jesus Christ.

Amen. In the bible the angels that visit people give them personal instructions for themselves, they do not give them doctrines, authority of truth, or tell them to start denominations. Angels can help lead people through darkness, but they do not give people new revelations. The Word of God is sufficient, beyond God's Word we only receive illuminations (or discernments) of what God has already given to us, which may include exposing false doctrines and give a proper interpretation of the text that the church has been missing. But even then, we are to test those discernments to see if they match with scripture, to know whether or not the source was an angel of God, or a fallen angel. If it disagrees with the Bible, it is not of God

My assumption is Mr. Ratzlaff, that your ancestors were Mennonites converted by some of my relatives to SDA faith in South Dakota back in the 1800s. Oh, the many that were led into bondage. So glad you came to know the truth. Growing up, I was certain I would never be anything but an Adventist but it was after being saved and reading the Bible and the writings of Mrs. White, that I became convinced she was a false prophet and I could not be baptized into the Adventist Church. Thank you for exposing the lies.

Observing the Sabbath, though I don’t do it myself, isn’t a bad thing, Romans 14. The issue with SDA’s is that they make it, and keeping the Ten Commandments, a requirement for salvation. Colossians 2 talks about not judging anyone over what festival or Sabbath they keep, they are a shadow of what was to come. I tried to convince my SDA mate while reading Galatians with them that law keeping is not required for salvation, that salvation is only found in accepting Christ’s sacrifice & resurrection, but they rejected it. It is part of SDA doctrine, because of Ellen G. White’s visions and teachings, that they have to obey the Ten Commandments, and even though they say Ten Commandments are the only standard, they have many other commands found in the Torah (first five books of the Bible) that Ellen White includes as sin e.g. eating pork.
When I finish doing something for a none SDA friend I’m going to try and read some more of Paul’s letters with my SDA mate hopefully the Bible can eventually cut through their doctrine.
I know the argument occurs only about the Sabbath,we don't keep the law as way of getting salvation for myself but rather I accept Christ in my heart,who enables me to keep the righteousness of the law.

I’m an ex-COG member, I loved the church and the people but it was a Spanish speaking church... they did Not teach anything about Ellen White. Which is why I stayed as long as I did. I do believe that the sabbath is on Saturday but I don’t condemn Sunday church goers at all!! I’m just happy to see that people are going to church period. There has been a great falling from the church and God as well. However, I was considering going to a Seventh-Day Adventist Church here in town, until I saw this.... now what, I just continue to read my Bible daily, 1 chapter at a time.. I’ve really got to know the Father and Jesus a lot better.. I just wish there was a church here.... The Father was around a long time before his works of old.. on him I wait.
Excellent presentation. I left the church but for other reasons, but he is absolutely right in describing how the Adventist doctrine is able to leave people living in despair. The uncertainty of the investigative judgment is calculated to drive people out of their minds. I was able to leave the church still believing in God but with a real distaste for organized religion with creeds and things to say 'I believe' to.

I left the SDA church after reading alone the new testament. I never believed in EGW. The demonination is very legalistic. They live in the old testament but still say yhey are saved by Grace.
Mr. Ratzlaff, you yourself ARE a fulfilment of prophecy: the goats are certainly being separated from the sheep, and the false teachers who were not Christ's in the first place but love the world are surely being sifted out. Once upon the time, I would have felt exactly like you, and would have made the same statement. The deeper I got into working within the church, the more I experienced what was wrong! I learned what I didn't want to know, but finally it got so bad I couldn't not pay attention and speak out. That made me an enemy of the church. Study for yourself, don't let anyone tell you what to do, pray for God to lead you in the way to go. When your shown something check it out for yourself, I called Lima Linda to find out if they truly did abortions there, I was shocked to find out they did, now due to all the negativity, they have a clinic a short ways from the main institution. However they have a plaque honoring Dr. Edward Allred for killing over 225,000 babies mostly brown & black as a community service! He brags about killing 100 on Sabbath morning. What is truth? What the Bible teaches, or what the SDA say or live as false truth. Read to be able to tell the difference. Don't take anyone's word for anything! Don't let anyone wipe it away saying that's not what they were called for, they don't have time to stand against sin! May God bless you as you seek for truth.
The central and most sacred doctrine of the SDA Church is the ‘tithe’. For the organization nothing else matters because they are a business organization. It is their life blood, their bottom line that matters. That tithe justifies every lie, every secret conspiracy against what they know to be the truth, every cover up.
They want more than tithes! They want your time, and all your possessions as well!! They even wanted me to pay tithes on my socalled - wages in their boarding schools, tax free factoryies! BELOW MINIMUM WAGES! Çould never seem to pay off my school bill! I call this a form of cerfdom. Their boarding schools are highly isolated and censored! They have totally destroyed my life, while trying to reconvert me! Spent to many years being homeless, because of their actions!

wow!!! wat a grt mess. My hubby and myself were both seven day adventists for 7yrs here in Australia and we were both got baptized too. The good news is we are no longer there as we left 2yrs ago. because of ellen white. i had never read her writings, but always hrd it quoted in the church and it freaked me out. i struggled with the sabbath as i found it hard to keep. i wa told if i didnt keep the sabbath i had broken my relationship with God and if i went back to a sunday church i was serving the beast. Praise God that the Holy Spirit lead my heart to leave and now we worship in a sunday church and feel so free..thank you Dale for this confirming mess, bless your heart..

+Dennis Kean can you do a careful study of the word commandment that John used in that verse. GK..'entole' or 'nomas'. Plus if you read on in the correct context, John explain what Jesus mean by Commandment. Please don't twist the meaning. Teach us, we want to learn. Also Jesus gave us a new commandment. Example..if your 1st wife die and you marry again. Would you bring your new wife home with your old wife stuff and preserved sitting in a chair when you open the front door. What would your new wife say? You need to read Roman 7 and you will get a better understanding of Law and Grace. I notice lately that all SDA and some other groups hold to replacement theology of Jews and this let them support their wrong doctrine. If not for the teaching then we would accept that the Sabbath is only given to Jews.
+Dennis Kean What are you going to do with your self righteousness ? Don't you know we are save by grace and not of work that no man can boast (eph 2:8). Salvation is of the Lord. It is all God's doing and not one little ounce of man action. Isaiah 64:6 "For all of us have become like one who is unclean, And all our righteous deeds are like a FILTHY garment;". How is your filthy righteous deeds going to look to God? You can work from sun set to sun down to keep every letter of the Law, and those deeds is filthy in God sight.
You still not answer which word John used in 14:15 for commandment. 'entole or nomas'. Like i said the master Jesus gave us a New Commandment! In the Matt 5 verse, not one person can live way above the Pharisee for our righteous deeds is filthy rags. Are you living above the Pharisee in enter the kingdom of heaven?

How can your righteous deeds be justified when Christ did it all?
1 Corinth 14:37 " If anyone think he is a prophet or spiritual, let him recognize that the things which I write to you are from the Lord's commandment" Paul say his writing is from God. Is Ellen White writing from God? 2 Peter 3:15-16 he say Paul write scripture and some of you have a hard time understanding it. 16: " which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction."
You need to understand Old and New Covenant. Are you keeping the New Covenant that Jesus gave?
Galatians 3:25 " But now that faith has come, we are NO longer under a tutor(Law). Are you filled with the Holy Spirit..He will teach you and guide you into ALL truth! Let the Spirit guide you and clear up you mind. Ellen has fog up your thinking. I say this in truth and love. I’ve gone down the SDA rabbit hole and I’m hoping that people in the church at least hear people like Dale out.
I've been searching for years now for the truth. Was raised Catholic then read some of the bible and found things that made me stop going to Catholic church. I was invited to Pentecostal church not for me. Baptist,,,I'M sorry.....Then mormon I'm sorry,,, they dont even have a bible. I studied with Jehova Witnesses for a couple of years and some things are just too far fetched for me. Now,,,,I'm studying with SDA and I'm coming across things like Sabbath, being vegetarian, cant eat pork or shrimp a mandatory tied and so on.
Seriously......theres not a living soul that can keep the Sabbath. Its impossible.
I believe in God Jehova and his Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit,,,,,I just want to find a church that teaches the bible without their personal beliefs. :(
+Victor Delgado The Bible is the eternal, living word of God, and Peter tells us that it is by this enduring, living Word that we are born again (1 Peter 1:23). Here's my recommendation: Read Galatians every day for a month; it's not long. Just read it and pray that God will teach you what He knows you need to know. And here's my concurrent suggestion: get a notebook, and literally copy, word for word, the book of John. Just do a very few very few verses a day, maybe only one, two or three verses a day. Ask God to plant the words you copy deeply into your heart and mind. He is faithful; He word cannot fail; it does the work He sends it out to do. He WILL teach you truth and reality, Victor. He will teach you.
You will not find it on this earth. If we find a perfect Church, don't join it because we will mess it up.
Church is fellowshipping with believers in Christ. We have to study the word listening to the Holy Spirit and work out our Salvation with fear and trembling not causing others to stumble.
SDA is not the Way. They are really Disciples of Moses wearing Crucifixes.

For you to have come through all the false teaching without being bewitched, confused, or just leaving faith altogether is divine intervention, in my humble opinion. I want to second Jackson concerning Calvary Chapel. I attend one, and as far as I know they all teach through one book of the bible at a time, so you get a more well rounded understanding of the text, not just a bunch of proof texts to support the preachers topical sermon of the week. But hey, if you find another church that the LORD leads you to that's good too! There's many a good ones but they are rare. If you wanna hear some straight Bible teaching look up J Vernon McGee on UA-cam, and he teaches through the Bible, verse by verse. Martyn Lloyd-Jones is an author I've been reading lately also. Life Assurance Ministries has great material to choose from as well. The LORD bless you!

Only the Morals and Spiritual principles of the Old still remain, but the Old Covenant Law " keyword is Covenant", has been abolished along with the Sabbath as a Sign because it never applied to Gentiles unless the Gentile joined Israel and dwelled within the Gates of Israel.

Brian, I completely agree with Dale. Also, Genesis 15:6 is the first declaration of how we are counted righteous: Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness. Abraham is the father of all who believe, both Jew and Gentile (Romans 4). "Belief" in God's promises and provision (the Lord Jesus) is the requirement for salvation. Then, having believed, we are sealed with the Holy Spirit (Eph. 1:13-14).

(Gen. 15:5, 6) True, no human is absolutely righteous. (Jas. 3:2) Nevertheless, because of Abraham's outstanding faith, Jehovah dealt with him as if he were righteous and even called him his friend. (Isa 41:8) Those who make up the spiritual seed of Abraham along with Jesus have also been declared righteous, and this brings them even greater blessings than Abraham received. The total number of anointed ones upon whom the "seal" is finally found to be permanent 144,000, according to Revelation 7:1-8. (Rev. 14:1-4) These are a "royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of special possession." They are the ones whom Christ , by his blood, bought for God "out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation," and "made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God."----1 Pet 2:9; Rev 5:9, 10.

There are many issues with Adventism. I left Adventism primarily because the organization does not reveal all of its teachings and lies to many prospective members in order to gain numbers. A large majority of the church laity does not realize that the denomination has redefined the word "Trinity" and actually thinks the church is Trinitarian. Ironically, over 90% of ordained Pastors, Elders, Deacons, and Board Members within Adventism ARE FULLY AWARE that the Church does not believe in the Trinity found in Catholic and Protestant churches. Another major problem with the group is that they claim to be sola scriptura while at the same time using Ellen White's writings as an authority (belief #18). Additionally, they claim to believe in one God while at the same time saying Jesus is Michael and did not enter the "Most Holy Place" in heaven until 1844. Adventism is still non-trinitarian and does not believe in sola scriptura. They also surprisingly violate the 1st commandment while boasting about how much they keep the 4th.

1844 is in the Bible... The "Great Disappointment" were the people who chose not to stay and pray. The church is corrupted, but their doctrines are the only ones which are correct. They abandoned the true sabbath, though, because they would rather go along with pleasing protestants instead of take the narrow path. The verse needs context to mean anything. If you willfully sin as read in Torah. Willful sin had no sacrifice. Steal pay back double some crimes 5 times the amount. It's important to note however that people with addictions to sin can be saved and yet still suffer their addictions. However the spirit will bring them out of it over time in the body, but no one is free from sin all together in this life whether they belong to Christ or not. Free from God's wrath for sin through Christ yes, but we still remain in a sinful body for now. What Hebrews 10:26 is saying is that if we desire to sin more than we desire God, then we belong to sin and not to God. At times our sins and addictions will conquer us, but they cannot conquer Christ, therefore if we repent and turn to Christ to bring us out of them he will overcome them for us, and bring us out of bondage to them. I just want people to understand that willful sin that someone enjoys more than they enjoy God is very different from compulsive sin that people regret doing and ask God to help them with; the first is condemnable and the second is forgivable.

I understand the guilt, I taught in several of our academies, worked in two Adventist colleges, was a Bible worker, Lay Minister, when I couldn't teach falsehoods anymore, it almost destroyed me, what do you do after Adventism? God says He will never leave you or forsake you, keep studying praying and ask God what He wants you to do now. God has educated me in so many areas, I led the youth, taught health, cooking and stop smoking clinics and much more, and now, I'm grateful when God puts a person in my path to share the Good news with, but I keep asking what now? I'm preparing myself for the end times, I may be in a prison camp, how will I encourage the folks there, I'm memorizing songs, scripture so I can make a difference there. The sabbath nor tithes are mentioned in the new testament as instruction simply because there was no debate or dispute about it. U will find that only in the 3rd centuary christians started to observe sunday because of the pagan influence and statutes.

I’m not an SDA nor have I ever been part of that church but I spent my last two high school years at an SDA school.
I have to admit that they’re pretty convincing when it comes to spreading their doctrine. They even go to the extent of making their sabbath school very similar to Sunday school at Protestant Churches thus making it quite difficult to set a difference between them at first glance.
Even their church services are so similar to that of the Protestant Church, to the point that they sign the same old hymns with a slight difference in their lyrics.
However, I strongly believe that God Almighty has allowed me to partake with people from different denominations throughout my life and since a very early age for a given purpose. The only two churches I’ve never been to are the JW’s and LDS, although I’ve had a few conversations with members from both churches with a clear purpose to turn me away from the Gospel and the Lord Jesus Christ.
A very good friend of mine from high school who lives in OK and who still is an SDA, has invited me to her church and has shared with me plenty of SDA literature which I disposed of later on.
Both the Old and New Testament are a clear picture of the persona of our Lord Jesus Christ in so much that what is stated in the OT regarding a person being instructed in the word and light of the scriptures since and early age, will never go astray, even at the dawn of his life, applies to me in every way.
I’m currently gathering information to create a PPT presentation of all this info to gather people for the Lord and his Kingdom.
My sole desire in life is to be able to spread the Gospel and the truth of Jesus and God’s love for however amount of years the Lord will give me to live before He takes me away.
Some years ago I watched a video of a Spanish SDA speaker who became very furious with me when I pointed out in my comment that he was a lier and a deceiver stating that his teachings were unbiblical.
I know it’s a difficult task to deal with people that are trapped within a cult such as the SDA, LSD and JW’s but we have to help them to get away and set them free from the Devil’s snare and deception. It’s our duty as Christians.

Jesus warned you to those that come to as an angel of Light and you don't listen just subtract 457 from 2300 there's your lesser light
(That was Col 1:13 below.) As for Matt 19: Jesus was demonstrating to that man, who was under the law as an old covenant Jew, that keeping the commandments was not sufficient for salvation. He had to give up what he loved the most and dedicate His entire life and focus to Jesus. He was not willing to lose what he loved. That story isn't about the necessity of the commandments; it's showing the insufficiency of them.

The 10 commandments are divided into 2 kinds: The FIRST 4 deal with our LOVE AND RESPECT FOR GOD. The other 6 commandments ARE AGAINST THE SINS OF COMMISSION AND fulfill the LOVE FOR OUR FELLOW HUMAN BEINGS, WHICH OUR MASTER AND SAVIOR SUMMARIZED IN THE GOLDEN RULE OF LOVE. Besides these, the commandments against our omissions of acts of love such as our willingness to sacrifice for other just a J.C. sacrificed his LIFE for all of us the Christian congregations and individual Christians.

You are speaking the truth. As a former SDA member I can confess this revelation was exposed by Robert Brinsmead & Dr Ford. Many SDA's left the "church" after this and found piece of God by conforming to the central Gospel message.

Very good video. I too used to be an SDA but I left the church because of my misgivings about Ellen White. Thank you Pastor Ratzlaff for confirming my "gut instincts". I do believe that it is important to keep the Sabbath though, as it is one of the Ten Commandments and not one of the "ten suggestions".
Darkman Walker I'd like to suggest that you do a study of the biblical covenants. Understanding the covenants is critical for understanding the role of Sabbath and the law. Adventism did not teach us this central framework of Scripture. The Ten Commandments, by the way, were the very words of the Mosaic covenant (Ex 34:28), the conditional covenant God made with Israel. Many people do not understand that the New Testament means with the death of Christ God provided for new law! The Old Testament is the old covenant between the Israelites and God. Then his Son came to change that- that is why the gospels and the apostles were given power by the Holy Spirit to teach the new covenant to the ends of time until he returns. If one does not study history or theology you cannot see what the apostles were saying- you cannot pick n choose verses to serve interpretations- New Testament is a parallel to the Old Testament

What he is saying is correct. It's biblical. Don't you read that we of the new covenant have a better Covenant and that the old is now obsolete? We live not according to the Old Mosaic covenant but by a new and better covenant. Please read the New testament and understand the gospel.

I left +/- 25 years ago. After listening to the stories of others that left, and comparing my experience with this presentation, I realized that I was in absolute mortal danger whilst being a "believing" Adventist. I have also picked up a similarity between the teachings of E.G. WHITE and the teachings of Islam's prophet Mohammed .
Adventist literature is never anywhere except in Adventist book stores. Why such separation? If it's the only truth. Shouldn't they want to put their literature in with the rest?

Man I need help. I came out of the SDA church after I discovered many questionable things for which they could not explain and started to NOT line up with what scripture says. THEN, they went on to "shun" me or to "disfellowship" me and "label" me as a "Herotic" as defined by them. When I first came into the church I was NEVER told about Ellen White. I signed the baptismal statement under false pretenceses. I did however accept Jesus as my Lord & Saviour. Now I really need help. I am a very broken and damaged man. I feel betrayed and victimized. Please - help me!!!!!
Only God can help you, He hasn't changed. The devil wants you devestated so he can destroy you. Keep studying, and praying, keep asking God what He wants you to do now? God will lead you, it's really important to forgive those who lead you astray, some honestly didn't know they were. I was a Bible worker for so many years, until one day while doing an evangelistic presentation, I saw the contradiction with scripture. I fast forwarded it through several screens and then continued. Later at home I went through it again, I had already done 4 campaigns and now I'm stuck! What do I do? I reviewed the next programs, cut the campaign short, and never did another one. I went into a deep depression for 5 years, I keep asking God what do I do now. For the present He has encouraged me to go to S.S. to interject truth where needed, I don't get involved with the church, just S.S. On my own I work with individuals to share God's love with them from scripture only.. you stay close to God, keep studying, and praying, God has work for you, now is the time to study and prepare for what's coming.. It is interesting to listen to your lecture. I attended a seminar on Revelations. When I walked in the room I sensed a complete absence of the Holy Spirit. I had the same sense when I walked into a Mormon church at 12 years of age. I didn't know anything yet but it had that religious spirit and when I'm near that I get really uptight. When the Holy Spirit is present it is evident.
I visited a Sabbath Church: they posted on the screen quotes from Ms White, they said that only they are saved because they congregate on Saturdays, and that the Archangel Michael is Jesus Christ . I as a Lay Minister doing Share Him programs I came to the understanding that the Investigative Judgment was false. I have studied so much, also talked with many church leaders, came across numerous contradictions of EGW teachings and scriptures to the point I couldn't teach anymore. I stopped teaching Adventist doctrine and just taught the love of God and how to know Him. Finally I realized I couldn't be a part of a lie, how can I bring others into falsehood, I asked the church to remove me from membership, They Refuse!!! So now 6 years later after letters and phone calls my name is still on the rolls. Pastor Shawn Boo straw told me I need to come back because if I'm not a member I can't be saved! What a out right lie, I followed up with a study on salvation and no where in scripture does it say belonging to the church will save me, as a matter of fact when I left the Catholic church believing I'd be lost, the Adventist then told me belonging to a church can't save me, now after 52 years they changed their theology! I have studied and prayed much after 50 years of giving Bible studies and helping people find what I believed was truth, I went into a deep depression for for about 5 years. What do you do after Adventism? I go to Sabbath School so I can interject truth. Pastors are not preparing the people for what's coming. My mind and heart is in such turmoil. You are the first I've heard speak truth on this subject. I wish I could have one of those study guides you talked about, I'd love to share the info with others.. Thank you for your help..

I've been an Adventist for 23 years. It never occurred to me what they are teaching when they say we are on probation. They're saying that our sins aren't forgiven yet! WOW!

If we take these words of EGW at face value not only here but it dozens of other places, we seem to have a contradiction to the plain teaching of Scripture. How do I deal with this problem.
1. Both Jesus and Paul said I would never face the condemnation of judgment. (John 5:24, Rom. 8:1, and the believer will not ever perish. (John 10:28)
2. In Jeremiah 31:34, Hebrews 8:12, 10:17, the central tenant for the New Covenant that God makes with His believers is that He will not and cannot remember our sin ever again.
3. If I am made perfect in His sight “once and for all time”, why should any future sin bring any possibility of condemnation and were not all my sins yet future when Christ died for me?

While we will never face condemnation it didnt say we will not be judge .... every man will be awarded that means every man will be judge.
After the saints are judged they will not perish .... how do you get from those egw quotes that the believer will be condem or perish..... she clearly state unforgiven sins .... if ur sins arent forgiven how the (hell) u expect to be save how could it be tgat grace abound so much and you didnt ask fir forgiveness?
He god will not remember our sins anymore this is under the condition that we ask receive and repented...no where did the bible says he god "cannot" remember our sins (you add that to his words)..... choosen not to to remember and cannot is two different things.

Everybody sins past and present was died for on the cross yet we know that majority will not be saved... so for you to assume that you can (future) sin and not ask for forgiveness and still be saved is a no no....base on your theory then we can all do what we want because we believe we will be saved anyway... aleister crowley said " Do as thou wilt"

Jesus rose from the dead on the 3rd day; that's why I celebrate Sunday, the 1st day of the week. Working very hard for 5 days I do tend to rest on a Saturday but I realise I am now under a new covenant which is built on better promises than the old one Glory to God...

We are not COMMANDED to keep any particular day according to the New Covenant writers...

lf I may I would like to suggest hat you read the book of Romans, which does not require any interpretation but that of the spirit; theme: Salvation by grace, though faith in Jesus Christ! Eating time on man is futile: read Jesus!!
benav07 yeah its been a pretty hard transition as I developed some friendships and a relationship (ex). Well..... I mean honestly, its pretty ingrained through generations. I think it was easier for me to open my mind to different perspectives on the issues of the law since I didn't come into the religion with family ties of strong relationship ties. I guess you say I was testing the waters. Although I did get baptized and did some ministry stuff. I was getting heavily in to it. But God knew my journey and He didn't let it happen.
If you want to really impact SDA who have it in their blood.... man its a tough one because everyone is different. But I can say that you have to be pretty biblical in the sense that when you do present something, ie. the law... you have to back it up with scripture and have tons of INFORMATION at hand or even memorized. they don't take other information very easily. It would take prob some relationship building first I'd say too where it would allow to build some trust since you are pretty much saying they are wrong. lol
and honestly just preaching some good old MERCY and GRACE. Right now, I'm just healing through it all and allowing myself to just grasp what the hell happened in that journey for me. Like the church really does have some pretty awesome people but you know it's just a doctrine thing they have totally wrong.
but yeah if you wish to talk to an SDA.. make then ponder... ask questions... propose some ideas... get them thinking.....

The problem lies with the fact that the jesus of SDAism is a jesus that's taught incorrectly by EGW, and this SDA jesus is shown to be a false christ when compared to scripture. The majority of SDA pastors, in the SDA studies and quarterly's and other publications continue to "uplift' a false christ. I cannot look toward the SDA jesus but the Jesus of the gospels.
The SDA Jesus is not the Jesus of Christians. SDA have a different Jesus and a different gospel, which is why SDA are not Christians

I am an Adventist of late ,I absolutely love thier teachings ,they will always be criticised for their believes ,in the end God is the judge and he will set the records straight, I have had to study each teaching and personaly cannot fault them. try teaching about the false doctrines of dispensationism instead and see how far off the mark that is ..May God give us all grace ,peace and patience and love to follow him.and do as He has taught us in the scriptures ...

The Jehovah's Witnesses do the same, they claim two sources of truth, the Bible and their Watchtower magazine. They teach two classes of Christ followers.. One class who partake of Christ's emblems and another who are told it is not for them, nor the Bible was written for them either but only for a number of 144,000. The sad thing is, "no one knows who the 144,000 are until Christ returns. The gov body has taken most of their members off of the true Christian hope of the higher calling ( 1st resurrection ) ( John 6:50) I am a former Jehovah's Witness who no longer follows the WT.org or any other denomination.
