Does anyone know what voice part she is? It sounds Soprano 2, but I want to make sure I'm right. My All State files are corrupt and I want to use this to practice it until we get the right ones!
Nice rendition; however, this beautiful song by the great baroque master Alessandro Scarlatti, or any song for that matter, should never be sung in an empty hall like this one, for the acoustic dynamics, unfortunately, cause the sound to appear hollow and cold to the listener. If both ladies had invited their friends and family, even that may already have made a difference! But every effort at performing precious music, whatever the circumstances or limitations, should be supported and applauded! Thank you!
This was actually a competition, and did not allow for audience to attend…only the judge. Some were held in classrooms and others in performance halls-where acoustics were better.
I actually took that idea and ran with it back in 2005 and adjusted for a morose tone (“creepy” as my music teacher said at the time). Definitely had a darker tone that intended, and soared beautifully to end it. Rating was a 1.
Happy to find someone singing the version of this I have with the grace notes
Well done, very good. I'm going to perform this song, and I'm using her as my study buddy. Thanks for that.

she made changes to the aria
I caught that too. Along with a few other opportunities for improvement.
This is the official Alfred version from 26 Italian songs. She didn’t make the changes the arranger did.
what was the rating?
Rating was Superior. It will be interesting to listen to her this year as a high school junior.
