The idea of around armchairs sounds interesting and can potentially be a timeless piece. But with round sofas we might be taking our chances. They seem more of a trend and although beautiful may not fit every room layout

Just moved into a new house and so excited to get it decorated! I love your style and ideas. One thing I would love to see is more real life examples of some of the ideas....the pictures throughout the videos are gorgeous but it is some difficult to picture how to incorporate it into a home that is not so large and fancy :-)

That marble lamp is so beautiful
Got an incredible wool area rug, originally priced at $2,500 for $200 because when they pulled it off the truck, somehow it was dragged through a puddle of grease and got a black streak down one side. I took it home, cleaned the grease off with lighter fluid, and it was undetectable!!! Total score.

I do love the channeled furniture, fluffy couches and chairs don't last, they turn ugly pretty quick. I'm not so sure I like the bolster look. Yesturday I bought a marble entry table with brushed brass legs, I love it. I have been adding a touch of brushed brass to my home it looks awesome with my black walls, it adds a touch of warmth. I love you so much and I don't even know you, you are such an inspiration to me, I drink my coffee every morning watching one of your video's. Keep up the great work, budget friendly or not I get awesome ideas, and at times turn them into my own ideas as well.

Channeled furniture is from Art Deco period Valentina!!! Just a strong revival in the US I believe. Common for us in Europe. .
I’ve enjoyed your informative videos, my style has evolved into a curated maximized style, picking up things over the last 40 years of national/international travel. It seems that it can be called “can’t make up my mind” to “I get bored easy”… I’m an artist myself. I’ve mixed the hand made in just about every thing, furniture/art work to hang or to set about… all that to say I mix sweet little things that are not expensive with things from art galleries & high end/hand carved furniture. I’m always on the look out for unique items, and would love to have sources on the high end… since you’re offering.
I would love to see a high-end luxury video. I decorate using both high and moderately priced decor. Whenever I want to find something new, I always look to the high-end market for inspiration...at least 80% if not more of the products you see at the big box retailers and off-price stores are based off of higher end inspiration anyway.

I like the idea of furniture that is art, but a lot of it looks very uncomfortable 😬. I am loving the channeled furniture and I just found tiles that look like channeled wood panels 😍😍😍😍, really beautiful, I am going to use it for my kitchen backsplash wall behind the stove 👍😊.

We purchased two expensive off white curved sofas 25 years ago for our living room in our home. Several times we were going to get rid of then but we just loved them so much we never did. We updated our accessories pillows and chairs through the years. Today they are still in perfect condition and they have a contemporary look in our high rise all window condo. Love them!

Do you have any ideas or favorite stores for "artful" chandeliers for a living room?
I've been around almost 60 years and grew up with 2 grandmas and a great grandma and some great aunts, so I've seen the designs of a lot of decades, 12 at least as GG had a lot of early 1900's stuff that's now passed down and even the younger gen wants it. I can tell ya that brass came and went the quickest each time it came back. Something about it just looks dated too quickly. I would stick to decor and accents rather than fixtures and furniture with it so it's more easily changed out. Marble also comes and goes fairly quickly because the youngers start to associate it with the elders and want something 'fresh' that grandma wouldn't have. Designing for generations requires uniqueness rather than things you see 'everywhere'. This calcutta marble that's everywhere is already starting to be dated as is the shaker (though less quickly). If you know 3 people who have something, don't buy it, lol. All white, no. Get a great floor and do rugs rather than carpet. Future proof your style with unique classics that are durable and comfortable and easy to clean and your great, great grandchildren will be fighting over it one day. LOL Dark bronze and copper have always worked and satin and brushed nickel seems to have stayed in style since it's invention in the 60's. The matte black, I love, but too soon to tell how long it will be favored. Stainless also is beginning to wane again because it's harder to keep nice. Chrome, no-out quickly. Granite composite is still going strong. Iron, especially aged iron is always in. Quartz is probably here to stay a long time if it's not the calcutta style or speckled. Furniture with legs seems to last so get your sofa/chairs/bed with legs. Then get a Roomba and it'll always be clean under there. Channel/tambor furniture gets dated quickly in some items but not others. I'd beware of anything expensive in that as it'll be pricey to swap out later. Cultural pieces seem to last like asian style cabinet, african inspired statues/art, morrocan, some Scandi and some classic victorian. Glass tabletops, no-hard to keep clean. Shiny black-no-same reason. This MadMen inspired stuff now was all in the GoodWill in the 80's, so think about that. Unless you have a huge attic so you can store it til it comes back again. Now ya know.

Channeled chairs, if sleek and slim, yes. Channeled couches, hideous, trendy, and tacky. I actually feel uncomfortable looking at them and can't believe people are buying them.
