My mother was a hoarder. Wish she were alive today to watch Dr. Zasio. It might have helped her recognize her hoarding issues.

It is not a disorder, i collect items because eventually the companies will stop manufacturing items and packagings, like the glass bottles. In the past glass bottles were everywhere and now companies like coca cola stopped making them and they are very rare. Soon, the companies will stop using plastic in their packagings because of the environmental movement. These items will become very rare and valuable in the future.

In your case you collect it for purpose so it's called a hobby. But hoarding don't have energy to do it. They leave it wherever it was cause most of the time going out to discard things is fearsome. They might met other people there

Then get a storage unit. And no plastic and glass bottles which ran in the millions or billions of quantities are not going to somehow become valuable. Sounds like you’re excusing your or others disorder.

They are showing the clean up proces, how looks before and after, but they never explain what's going on in the SOUL, BRAIN, HEART and MIND of a hoarder.
They never show what's happening with the hoarders after the junk they are strongly attached was removed.
Hoarding and loss of organizing ability is an extremely difficult brain disfunctionality.
It is not about they don't want: but they simply CAN'T organize the things.
    😥😨😥💔💔💔
Shame on people's who judge hoarders from they ignorance!!!
No one hoarder is doing this mess deliberately!!!
Hoarding is not a free will, it is a terribil brain DISORDER !!!
And is not easy to deal with.
I know suicider hoarders after they beloved items were removed!!!
    And most important!
They never show how/what hoarders WITHOUT family and friends can handle this???
