The patience, and persistence of wildlife photographers totally amazes me, and I am so thankful for what they do, because without them I would never even know there was such an animal as the Sea Wolf. Thank you so much for what you do.

Speaking as someone who grew up on the BC coast, and has spent nearly a decade photographing and observing these wolves, this documentary sums it up so well. Long days, crazy temperature swings, high humidity, and creatures dependent on the tides make photographing here extremely challenging. Wolf glimpses are often fleeting moments, ones that even experienced photographers struggle to capture. But when they do come out, the beauty of them and their place in this ecosystem is so clear. Great captures John & team.

John E. Marriott, I stumbled upon this series on UA-cam yesterday and started watching all of it. I have adored your work for years, whenever I travel in the Canadian Rockies. I always wished I would run in into you some where in the wild, but never happened. I love photography and specially wildlife, and you had been an inspiration. Darwin Wigget is my other idol, whom I was fortunate enough to meet while in Abbotsford. I love the Rockies and the wilderness, maybe I will be lucky to get into a wildlife tour with you, since now I live in Victoria, BC.

What an experience John! Those coastal wolves are stunning creatures. I absolutely love wolves, one of my favourite animals in the world. I've only ever seen them in captivity here in the UK and it breaks my heart. There is an area in Scotland called the Alladale Wilderness Reserve that has been back and forth with the British government for years to reintroduce the wolf back into Scotland to control Reed Deer herds and and improve biodiversity.
So good to see another of your videos!
    Take care.

Know that’s Wildlife photography but the thrill of seeing them happily in their natural environment is magical. So pleased you managed to get some shots in the bag and video. I really enjoyed watching as always, been following you for years and have enjoyed many a read of your wonderful books. Keep up the great work, and let’s hope Wolf future survival through viewing and photography can happen, an opportunity not to be missed. All the best, Richard (UK) 🙏👍

If coastal bears are bigger than inland bears, why are coastal wolves smaller than inland wolves? Nicely edited video. Beautiful area.

Great question, likely to do with the biomass of the prey species on the coast being less than the prey on the mainland. A moose goes a long way compared to an otter, for instance.

Ive been looking for wolves in Michigan for a couple months, almost obsessed lol. Weve talked to DNR and wolf biologists in the area and they told us some areas to go, weve saw plenty of fresh wolf tracks and scat. Then we bought a few trail cameras, placed them and about 10 minutes back in the truck we saw a wolf cross the road in front of us about 100 yards ahead, a few weeks later when we went to check the trail cameras our third and fourth video we had a wolf. It was the same night we set them and about 5 hours after we seen that one, the cameras were less then 2 miles away so it was probably the same wolf we saw. Havent saw any sense, but we did see a black bear and a bobcat! Wolves are amazing animals and im glad theyre making a comeback in the US!

Wolves have noticable intelligence, love the wild.
Theres a Tiger which lives Coastaly to if I remember correctly, not in that place obviously.
Imagine having lived 1000years ago..all the predators in abundance, so scary.
