I also found out that one can also do a "macaco do chao" or a "macaco cortado". This is not a true back walkover but this is actually a back walkover variant with legs not too high in the air and close to the ground, and usually more "bent" than a traditional "macaco." This would be good especially for "capoeira angola jogando."

Shoul I learn macaco to the direction where I cartwheel, for example I cartwheel with my left hand placing first,. Should I be learning macaco with my left hand first too,
If ur right handed u will put ur left hand down first

You could let the instructions on the screen a little longer. It's hard to watch your movements and read it so fast, it would be better not have to rewind the video

How can they get so much arm Strenght to do that. I'm trying and can't get it. o.o
hey man I just started about 4 weeks ago. it's not really about the arm strength for the macaco, but more of the lower back ( to be able to do a bridge ) and in the quads/ hamstrings ( to jump off together at the same time ). the most difficult part for me was to overcome the fear of snapping my shoulder or hitting my head while flipping.
I think Back Flexibility is important for macaco

can you please put some chill or motivational acrobatic melody for this tutorial? Im currently progressing in this skill but whenever i play this vid i gotta mute the sound because music you are using for this video is awful and troll, just takes away my motivation for macaco.
