- This easter egg is very interesting. You can get it following the route from the traffic puzzle room. But it has a very small chance. So, good luck on trying this :]

I feel like the wording on 'There was not a man here.' Instead of 'There is not a man here.' Definitely means something.
Definitely gaster. He was there until he fell into his creation and then he wasn’t there
@@tomtee_ he was but then he never were there, the time around him ceased existing and he lives in the middle of both time and space, he exists but he is not an entity, yet he isnt existing but being an entity, you can say he is and is not all of the same, because total erasure is impossible his essence remained in fractions in different timelines, the mistery man in undertale alongside his followers were all fragments and now we have another, which is the man behind the tree, which may represent his personality, but doesnt have a body, because that got shattered and formed the followers which if you think of it, are just preexisting monsters turned grey and talking very strange, he took their forms to coexist within the world, but one of the pieces couldnt, and staid in "the void" the piece in deltarune keeps moving, yet it doesnt have free will, so he stays in the middle of the existent universe, hiding, and when you find him he rewards you with a prove of his existence, so you know he is not a part of that world, but of kris's or as i said, part of another world apart from the dark world, but that is just a theory

He was scrapped to pieces, most of the body formed the followers and most of the soul formed the mystery man of undertale, the rest were just scraps and mixed to form the man behind the tree which doesnt have a physical form, and lives in the middle of existence, and the egg is just a proof of his existence

Gaster's sound with the phone was throughout all of the game, I always checked it in different areas, it never changed surprisingly
perhaps soon he will be important to the plotline.

One thing I noticed that's consistent with finding the hidden egg areas is that aside from having to move back and forth between the two rooms, the Music's Audio Track also seems to reset when moving between those specific rooms. Perhaps something to keep in mind for other areas or future Chapters?

also both of the song’s start (CH1 and CH2) have very similar leitmotifs to gaster’s theme

probably a good way of determining if a "between room" exists in a certain area because it seems like itd be almost impossible to tell otherwise
I think it's supposed to be a glitch room like in Zelda: A Link to the Past (only thay Toby put them in intentionally). It would male sense in connection to Gaster.
This one is far easier than chapter 1 secret. On chapter 1 you have no hints at all, while on chapter 2 there is a very specific hint on the wall.
You have the hint of the music resetting whenever you go back. That’s how I realized this at first. Then I looked at the wall.
DoubleE ohhhh, I didn’t realize it, but you’re right! I’ll have to watch out for that in the future chapters
of course, music resetting is a hint, but when chapter 2 wasn't released, how could anyone know that you should re-enter the room a number of times to get the secret room
To be fair if you didn't know about Chapter 1 man behind the tree, you probably would've thought what the wall was talking about the room with the dog.
@@TheNemesis432 not really since the room with the dog comes before the room with the hint. It doesnt make sense to hint a secret room that you had to visit earlier to access the hint.
It feels like there may be 3 possible endings to this game:
1: Regular Pacifist or Neutral.
2: The Weird (or Genocide) route.
3: Whatever happens once you get the eggs?
The true ending if you defeat all the hidden bosses
4 The Egg Ending

sadly no, the flower shop is closed and the back door is blocked by flowers, meaning no access to the fridge

@@user-hb7bo4mr2i that is actually sort of interesting, in chapter 1 the shop seller told us that Jevil was also "found" by someone who broke him, making him go insane which lead to him being locked, if it's the same person, wouldn't "him" have contacted Kris bc his phone only gives "garbage noise", the same garbage noise that his friend mentioned

Btw the guy who influenced Jevil was called "The Knight", and was mentioned again by the queen towards the end of the game

fun fact, the "Garbage Noise" made by the Cellphone is referenced by one of Spamton's friends, they picked up his phone, trying to find out who he was talking to, and all they heard was "Garbage Noise"
also, spamtom gets phone calls during his fight, which he says are for the player.

So wait, egg 1 goes with Asgore, egg 2 goes with Sans, is anyone NOT seeing the connection? So far, each egg is going in a building related to a main character from Undertale each time, and there are 7 chapters. This is just speculation but:
Asgore
Sans
Papyrus
Alphys
Undyne
Toriel
Asriel
What could these eggs possibly mean in relation to each character? I have no idea, but its interesting to think about.

You can’t, cuz even if u didnt visit Asgore in chp. 1 and got the egg and continue ur save file into chp. 2, the egg still disappears if u check ur inventory

Damn, I found that place where you get hit by the car and die with the undertale game over and I totally thought if I kept going in and out of the room there’d be a secret, but after trying for maybe a minute no room showed up and I moved on... almost found this!

You put the second egg in a basket, which is in sans’ shop
You can't go in Asgore's shop this chapter. His shop is closed and the side entrance is blocked with flowers.

I predict the next egg will have to be in mettaton/happstablooks house, as if we are following the bosses backwards, it goes:
Asgore (egg 1, flower shop)
Sans (egg 2, grocery store)
Mettaton (egg 3, Mettaton House)
Undyne (egg 4, Undyne House)
Papyrus (egg 5, his house)
Toriel, (egg 6 your house)
Gaster/Flowey (egg 7, bunker)
Similar to how the chapters are the areas backwards

I'd like to note that the theme that plays in both egg rooms sounds kinda like Gaster's theme, and the man behind the tree is gone after you interact with him. Definitely some connection with our good ol' shattered scientist.
Fun fact: the instruments used in the egg room theme are the same used for the gaster theme

Sure, but nowhere in Deltarune is Gaster mentioned anywhere. I understand the correlation with Undertale, but Deltarune is a separate universe.

@@Sticksandstones32 Yeah he is. In the beginning of the game, where you create the vessel, the name of the song is ANOTHER HIM. Gaster's theme in the Undertale files is named mus_st_him. So, in a way, Gaster was actually the first character we "see" (I mean, we don't see him, but you get me) in the game.
I swear, the people that complain about people who connect things in the game to Undertale are far more annoying than those who keep making the connections all the time.
That alley with the Annoying Dog signs is very strange. It leads into getting - specifically - Undertale’s Game Over screen, which is a pre-requisite to finding the “room between,” and then to the dumpster that’s crucial in the Snowgrave route. There’s a pillow inside… implying Spamton sleeps there, but in developer notes, Toby seems to imply it’s his. (“This game is filled with an enormous amount of stupid garbage… Dig through it, and you might find me sleeping at the bottom of the dumpster.” Note: THE dumpster.) Then there’s moss… which is written specifically in green - which seems to be a rather important color from odd flavor text here and there - the missing green crayon in the drawer, how parts of Cyber World are very green, the single green car in Hometown always being stuck in traffic, even Ralsei’s outfit. The second door from the left in that alley is the only interact-able door in Cyber City. It reads:
“(Knock, knock, knock)
You found the only knockable door in the city.
This here is my pride and joy…”
Notice the wording: “MY pride and joy.” Is it the ONLY instance in the entirety of Deltarune that the “narrator” speaks in the first person? It’s not in red text. I think the only times we saw that first person perspective in Undertale was on a full-tilt genocide run in New Home…
This is all incredibly sinister, somehow.

I did a quick playthrough of Chapter 1 before moving on to Chapter 2 yesterday and completely forgot about grabbing the first egg. I did find this room, but I tried clicking on and around the tree for quite a bit without it doing anything at all. Now, I might have just been in the wrong place, but it seems to me that you might need the first egg to get the second one.
I think so too, I tried getting the egg, I kept pushing the button but nothing happened, my Chapter 1 file wasn't connected to the second so maybe you're right

And i was right. despite me not collecting that egg i still could enter that secret room in Chapter 2.

Okay, here's what I think: Gaster is not going to be the main villain or the mastermind, instead he is going to be a secret super boss, like Jevil or Spamton. Making such a character the big bad would be too fanservice-y, too predictable. Instead, I think if you get every egg from the secret rooms, then that will allow you to fight Gaster in the real world, making for the most unique fight in the game. And, as you may have guessed, _optional._
this scared the shit out of me first time
Managed to find this room on my playthrough while hunting for secrets without any outside influence. It was so fuckin cool finding a secret like this only on the 3rd day of release. Did this with Susie and Ralsei and not with Noelle, btw.

i had a dream about this egg for some reason, i learned i had to collect all 7 eggs to fix something and i was super stressed out because i kept missing the eggs, there wasn't anything weird about it, it literally was just collecting the eggs like in the game

This brings Easter Egg to another level.
Also, the egg you get can be used at the end of the chapter in sans' store. If u go the egg box u can place it in there. A little cutscene played between Toriel and sans and Asgore but not sure if this is to do with the egg.
It could be gaster or either a new character that toby will show in other/last chapter and it could be very important to the lore

I actually found this by mistake the first time I played chapter two. I didn't know where to go so I went down and I was so confused.

I think it's more so supposed to be sort of like a reference to Undertales Genocide and Pacifist Runs with Sans, as it is your choice if the man is happy with you or not.
The "It's nothing but garbage noise" also appears in the Prison Cell in the Queen's Mansion

No, but you do get a scene with “kids” if you go there after sealing the second dark fountain
more about this, the two kids there discuss if somethings really in there (i cant remember exactly) but then mention kris and how both of them are not a weenie like kris is. susie also asks kris what the deal is with the door, they dont answer, susie then says they dont have to talk about it. suggesting that kris has something to do w the door :DD sorry its explained poorly but ya

In chapter 2, instead of saying the phone doesn't seem to be working, it says it's garbage noise. One of Spamton's former friends said that when Spamton disappeared, his phone was unhooked and all that could be heard was garbage noise. It's not just our phone that Gaster is messing with...

I thought it was part of the game too and got so confused when Noelle disapeared and Toby came in a car and undertale’d me
when i get that part of the game, i get scared from tobey, then after leaving the dumpster, i notieced that the music reset, so how i replay the first charapter yesterday, i noticed tha bewteen the room forthe tree reset the song, so i tried to find the tree again and i got it, i feel great for find that for myself.
The fact that it’s actually references with UNDERTALE, when it gets interacted with, it disappears.

i find it interesting how in chapter two's egg secret, when you interact with it after taking the egg it says this "well, there WAS not a man here" In past tense, w a s. like a man wasnt there in the first place, like he didnt exist in the first place

Hey I dont know if this is a glitch or not but sometimes when you are doing one of those keyboard puzzles you can hear sans voice. Weird yet intresting.
I actually wonder what the chances are of triggering this. It took me eight minutes of constantly pushing my Switch's joy-stick back and forth rapidly to get here.

Well thank you, even though I already beat that chapter 2 pacifist file today that I was gonna 100% so far and saved, but oh well thanks. Heheh, now I know, I had this false impression that it as in the pacifist spamton room but I may be getting mixed up with something else
I guess I lucked out cuz I just randomly decided to return to the room and got the tree not remembering what it was in the first chapter

I read the thing on the wall and tried this because I remembered the room from chapter 1 but I tried for like 2 minutes and it didn't work so I assumed there just wasn't a secret room
maybe means by
"There was not a man here" means maybe that in that universe of Undertale we don't have Gaster, maybe its like a changed character.
So is the festival/holiday/thing Rudy is going to church for Easter or its equivalent? Hence the eggs. Completely guessing but if true, then maybe at some point there could be an Easter egg hunt, and having an Egg/Eggs (or knowing where they are if you put the other in your Dad’s fridge to replicate) would help you win an otherwise unwinnable mini game.

Hmm... it's in between the starwalker room and the room after it, when you talk to the original starwalker he says "i am the original starwalker with "starwalker" in yellow. In chapter 2's room the moss text when you find it is in green. Be on the lookout for "shitpost" style easter eggs like annoying dog killing kris or starwalker and differently colored text.
I know that very well. I was just thinking was there any hint in chapter 1 for that secret room in that chapter, because there was a very noticeable hint for the egg room in chapter 2. I think Chapter 1 doesn't have any hints, but I'm not 100% sure.

There is no music file for that. I'm looking for it btw but every file is named except for the D & W file which are singular words. Sadly it ain't the bunker song which is just basic sfx for the game

This isn't exactly related but could tie in. If you tell Alphys you slept well because of you're pairing with Suzy. She asks if you've been up late chatting with Asriel.
Then corrects herself saying she hopes it gets back up and running soon. (I just have no clue where to share this. I feel like it's an important line)

So im not 100% sure if this is the case as i didnt carry over my chapter 1 save, but you do keep the egg from chapter 1 when you go to the dark world in chapter 2, right? If so then maybe it'll function similarly to the dark stones from jevil, spamton, and whoever else we may meet. Ive seen some comments about how it might be possible the dark stones will give you an alternate ending of some sort, and that is acknowledging that toby said there wont be any alternative endings. So i was wondering if maybe the eggs might similarly bring a different ending to the table? Granted this is all speculative and its just guesswork at this point, but i feel like if the same easter egg is in 2 chapters back to back, something might be planned for em.
nah doesn't carry over i was interested and tried it but all i had on me was a ball of junk for my stuff in dark world and didn't come back when i entered dark world... never saw it again

@@cable_g0re no prob! just sucks when u go to a new chapter the only thing that carries over is ur stuff from the dark world so anything like the hot chocolate or the flowers from the end of the game will get taken away from ur inventory including the egg if still in there

@@cable_g0re yee since it's something u get in the dark world it wont go with the light world stuff but on the snowgrave run even if u defeat jevil and go talk to sean he'll say "u sure u didn't defeat jevil?" and say that u might find it lying around somewhere and then he finds it really weird since i thought maybe i didn't talk to him but it happens even if u do so kinda weird dunno if it's supposed to do that or not... either way i got a tip for the neo fight so if u hold down z and keep pressing enter u'll do infinite full power shots that don't stop so broken
