People using swearing as a reason to not like someone is bullshit. They're just holier than thou judgemental people and are probably looking down on others for completely different reasons and just using that as an excuse.
I agree, in general, but there are times and places for it and not. Plus, it doesn't need to be "I want a !?*+ing steak!" when "I want a steak!" would suffice. There's a lack of control when one's doing it the way he's describing it. I can cuss like a sailor, but I also know to zip my lip, in that regard, depending on the company. I'm not saying she's right and he's wrong, just saying it can put people off.
Poor guy this can't have been easy for the Groom dealing with intrusive thoughts and that the reality was actually mixed about who was going to be the best man. Thankfully he woke up to what was going on before the Wedding. Thankfully the wife wasn't a B like usually happens in these stories, just someone who needed to stand up to her mum. OP was right to bother to ask questions,
Heard a diff version of this where the friend had made a passing comment about liking the OP years back that never went anywhere or something like that and the fiance had made sure to ghost so OP wouldnt be at the wedding/wedding party which ended up getting cancelled.
Pretty sure that's a different story. OP was openly gay, friend was straight but made a comment about how they'd date if things were different. Comment was made before friend and his fiance were even dating, too, but she never let it go. And yeah, tried to push the OP out of the wedding, which failed because he was so close to the family (basically had been adopted), and destroyed her relationship
If your boy is too busy to handle wedding related stuff, and he refers you to the fiancée, somebody should tell her as well, so she knows a bunch of randos might be calling.
Good Lord the wedding planning aggravating OCD was me to a T (I’ve lived with OCD since age 11, diagnosed at age 12). So many decisions, so little time to make them (because the industry is just Like That but also this was around the time all the Covid weddings got rebooked), such a huge transition even if a happy one. Absolutely wild. I don’t blame Alex one bit for getting stressed out to the point of being cross.
There is! I'm on some and it's super helpful! It doesn't completely get rid of spiraling thoughts, ticks or intrusive thoughts, but it does help calm them a bit. I probably spend only 1 night every other week caught in a compulsion for hours, instead of every night now. It's great, a real life saver!
Okay. Poor communication sums-up this. BFF was not close to fiancée. Who was pregnant. And basically the wedding planner also. Bride's parents also had the biggest portion of the payroll. Husband had OCD that somehow was crippling. Detail summary. Happy ending. Weird. Bride's a leftist woman, but she doesn't swear? Is that weird?
OCD is crippling. Just because you don’t have it doesn’t mean it’s easy for those of us who do have it. The compulsions are a need to do things multiple times because of the anxiety of them coming true. It’s also genetic but triggered by trauma. You’re fortunate that you don’t have to experience this. Be respectful of others who do experience issues with OCD.
@t.l.c7481 Did you give me this unjustified rant just because I used the word, "somehow"? I know obsessive/compulsive personally, as I have been that way myself. I don't remember this well, but I was commenting on the quality of the story, not defaming people with behavioral challenges.
It said he was socialist democrat to socialist and I was like ooohhhh not really far enough left haha and then it said she thought the same thing lmaooo I am indeed tankie/tankie adjacent so that was a callout TvT
Idk man. This story is kinda weird. I would love to hear it from her POV too. How is OP so close to his BFF, but he doesn't know about the pregnancy? They don't talk for months? Also, why is she the one doing most of the planning while she is also pregnant. I get that he has OCD but idk. Also, I kinda relate to disliking people who swear a lot. I swear a lot too, when I'm with my friends. But people who casually swear when I barely met them always put me off too. Idk, if the story is really like how OP puts it, then yes she is in the wrong. But the story feels too weird so idk if I can trust OP' POV.
First pin pls ❤
Dude, she gaslighted OP’s friend to oblivion😂

Medication for OCD? Is that a thing? The missing invite and "he's busy lie" are bold red flags.
Yes, there definitely is medication for OCD.
a quick google search is all u needed bro smh
What made you think they didn’t have medicine for OCD?….

amazing friendship between Alex and OP. That is rare!
If you believe Stella, I have a great bridge you can buy very cheaply
Sending cat pictures lol
1 yep same happened with me. they hate attention going elsewhere even their friends and especially best friends.
Betcha Stella and Alex are divorced
Stella sounds like she was strait up abused growing up and doesn'tunderstand that. People are products of their circumstances. Hope things get better
I just looked up the definition of a tankie. Has a lot to do with tanks, in a way.
...?
@@flaviobest90turbocommies. The kind of people who think Stalin's worst crime was not going far enough. Terrible people, really

yeah beach lied her ass of and of course they tried to blame the guy for everything... women
was that "women" at the end really necessary? Also she didn't "blame him for everything"
Not all "women". That last part wasn't necessary.
@@ChromeBezerker didnt they blame him for them almost canceling the wedding
@@goodsoup9488 i didnt say all women...
@@nunomateus243 Then what was that last part then? "Women" that's pural for woman. It sounds like your blaming all women.
