Many thanks, we have also been trying for many attempts with a double oven and now realised that this only works with the main & NOT top oven.

Mark. It has just taken me ONE HOUR just to set the actual CLOCK TIME of this AEG Competence cooker and that was by PURE CHANCE. Infuriating, annoying and once again I am saying.......BLOODY MODERN TECH !!! I am 63, very practical and CAN DO most things in life but modern tech always takes me ages often due to lousy complicated instructions or no instructions. I am not touching that clock again for fear of messing it up. AEG......please SIMPLIFY your useless instructions ??????

At the beginning you instructed to turn the oven on, so isn't it already on?

Thanks, AEG adopted the most counter intuitive way to set the bloody thing imaginable, being a man I refuse to look at the book. Merry Xmas I'll report back if tomorrows turkey is not charcoal. 👍

Thanks for that. I guess that just setting the top left timer shuts it down in 45 minutes if you didn’t set the bottom left timer (the oven is already on). That’s what I’m hoping anyway.

Mine requires the function knob to be switched on first and temperature last but other than that just the same thanks

Hello thank you for sharing this information, i finally found someone who has the same oven as mine. Could you kindly explain what each option from the left side means what do you use each for.

The bell is so you can set a timer - doesn't even have to be related to cooking. I use it to signal the end of screen time!
The clock symbol is to set the clock.
I'm afraid I don't write understand your query about the oven warming up - it should stay on for the duration you set at the temperature you chose unless there's a fault.

Thanks brilliant - UA-cam hey - question, if I'm grilling do I have to leave the oven door open I'm guessing you do but I can't see a warning or instruction for it.
I always do. Grilling is broiling for our cousins across the water.
@@alankerrigan just found the instructions 😄 it say grill with door closed.
Thanks for the tutorial, but this procedure implies you're starting the cooking process with a cold oven... I guess it's a compromise you can settle for sometimes, but not ideal at all. Of course there's no way around it, I understand ;-)

Thank you so much for this. The instructions are almost non existent and I just couldn't work it out.
My oven warms up but then stops working. Even when I set the duration time, it doesn't heat up again.
What do the bell and then timer on the right mean exactly? I want the oven to stay hot and not basically shut off.

I got same problem. Don’t know what to do.
The bell setting does not affect the operation of the oven in any way. The ->| icon is the one which shuts off the oven when the time runs out.
Myne heats up but the temp light isn't turning of ? Any ideas ?
